I have a few of Colourpop old liquid lipstick formulas. Their Satin formula was very pigmented, but also a bit more of that proper matte liquid lipstick that can be drying. For some reason Colourpop decided to change their lip formulas and they are now called Lux Liquid Lipsticks. Formula is definitely different.

Review: Avon Mark Prism Lipstick - Orbital Lust
22 Jan 2020
Avon Mark Prism is a new range of Avon's lipsticks. I've had the chance to try out shade Orbital Lust. It's one of those creamier formulas that contains small shimmer which should give it that prismatic sheen on your lips.
Review: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - 218 Devil Wears Nada
28 Aug 2019
I really like Sally Hansen nail polish formulas. They all have such a nice creamy formula, great shade selection and they usually last on my nails really well. So when I saw one of the nude shades in TK Maxx, I got it.

Review: Avon True Matte Lipsticks - Nudes (All Colors)
3 Apr 2019
I have praised my love for Avon lipsticks many times and their matte formula is one of the best matte formulas in a regular lipstick format. They had descent shade selection, but recently they've added 6 new nude shades. One of those (Au Naturale) was actually already available in this range. Good job Avon, we all wanted more nude shades, as those are one of the most worn ones in general.
Review: Colourpop Creme Lux Lipstick - Quickie
15 Feb 2019
I've wanted one of those Colourpop Lux Lipsticks ever since they came out with them. Partly, because they have nice color selection and partly because of the pretty packaging. I chose shade Quickie, because I've always been on a hunt for peachy nude.
My Favorite - Nude Lipsticks
17 Dec 2018
I consider nude lipsticks those kind of shades that look similar to your natural lip color. My natural lip color is pretty pale, so every nude looks much brighter on me. In this selection I feature some more brown tones, some warmer leaning towards peach as well as some more pink tones.
Kissy Nails
14 Jul 2018
I once did lip design on my nails, but I never posted that manicure on the blog. So I decided to do this lip design again, but on nude base which I really enjoy these days. I got a lot of compliments on this manicure and everyone seemed to think I stamped it on, but it's actually a free hand design.
Review: Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Polish - 180 Chai on Life
23 Jun 2018
I have only one Sally Hansen colored nail polish in my collection (sadly, no review of it) and their Insta-Dry Top Coat (which didn't impress me). But their formula is something I liked immediately, because it's a thicker formula that covers nail quickly. Recently, I got two new Sally Hansen nail polishes in my mail box, but one came completely shattered. It broke while transporting, so I can't show you that one, although it was a fun electric purple shade.

Review: Bourjois Rouge Velvet The Lipstick - 02 Flaming'rose
9 Mar 2018
I already own two shades of Bourjois Rouge Velvet The Lipstick and I adore their matte formula. Recently I got another shade that was gifted to me by lovely friend Astrid. It's called 02 Flaming'rose and it's probably one of my favorite pinks. So wearable and would suit many skin tones.

Review: Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip - Aquarius and Screenshot
27 Feb 2018
I once got a mini sized Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Frick 'n' Frack with my order and ever since then I wanted to try some other more nude shades. The formula is one of those rare mattes that actually feels comfortable on the lips. When I was ordering their eye palettes, I also order two Ultra Satin Lips in shades Aquarius and Screenshot.

Review: Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor - 645 Forever
23 Oct 2017
I already have one shade of Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor and it's Devotion. This is definitely the most comfortable matte liquid lipstick formula I have ever tried. So it's no wonder I decided to pick another shade.
It has a plastic matte transparent packaging with silver top. The edges are rounded, which I like. In it is 5.9 ml of product and it costs 12.23€. This is definitely one of the more pricier products and I probably wouldn't buy it, if it weren't 40% off in one of our drugstores, so it cost me only 7.34€.
The applicator is fairly flat, but looks like a cone from the side. It's soft and just fluffy enough. Application is easy and you can get a very precise line with the applicator. There isn't too much product on the applicator, which I prefer, but I do usually go in another time to get it really opaque and thicker on the lips. It's just my preference.
645 HD Forever is a perfect my-lips-but-better kind of shade. I would describe it as a muddy nude pink. It has pink and brown undertones in it, but is more of a muddy shade and sometimes almost looks mauve like. I feel like this color looks different paired with different colored makeup. If I have something more neutral, it's more brown and if I have something with purple tones, it makes the lipstick look more mauve. This is that perfect every day shade that isn't too brown nor too pink. Just perfection.
I have a few similar shades to Forever, but no dupes. Avon Mark Plump It Lipstick in shade In The Buff is that muddy pink toned nude. It's lighter and more pink with kind of brown undertone. Avon True Supreme Noursihing Lipstick in shade Nurturing Nude is again lighter and has a bit more of that peachiness to it, although it's very much that mix of peach and pink neutral. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in shade Stockholm it's also a bit more pink toned and lighter.
Formula is creamy, very pigmented and feels ultra soothing on the lips. It almost feels like a lip balm and lipstick hybrid. It's definitely a thicker cream, but that gives it that opacity in one coat. It's one of the most comfortable formulas on the lips. This won't dry out your lips at all. It almost feels a bit soothing and nourishing. It's the perfect matte liquid lipstick formula for those that have naturally dry lips.
At first it has a creamy sheen, but then it dries down to a complete matte finish. Drying down depends on how thick coat you have on, but it can take up to half to one hour to completely dry down. If that bothers you, you can blot it down with a paper for a quicker matte look.
I find it very long lasting, once it actually dries to a matte finish. But if you'll be eating a lot, you'll definitely need to reapply it. It wears off very evenly too, but is not transfers proof.
The scent is the same as with Devotion, a pleasant sweetness. As I've said before it somehow reminds me of cookies and strawberry ice cream.
I absolutely adore this formula since I have naturally dry lips. I can wear this matte liquid lipstick without worrying of drying out my lips. It has very comfortable thicker creamy formula that needs a lot of time to dry down to a proper matte finish, but it wears lovely. It has good staying power and it wears off even too. The shade is the perfect neutral nude shade for every day wear. I would love to get more shades of these. I especially like Seduction and maybe some more bold darker colors.
If you like proper extremely long lasting, budge proof lipsticks with an instant matte finish, you probably won't like these.

Review: Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer (10 Rosywood Hills, 38 Honeymoon Is Coming Soon)
14 Jun 2017
I didn't plan on buying Catrice's new ICONails Gel Lacquers. Usually, their nail polish formula chipped on my nails really fast and it just wasn't worth the price. But when I saw sets of two in the store, I couldn't resist. I also found the prettiest duo that had the perfect nude shade with a mauve brown shade. I'm trying to buy unique shades for my collection, so I wanted to try it out and see for myself if their claims are true.
The sets were designed as a manicure and pedicure shades, but I use them all on both anyway. Apparently the formula is infused with acai oil and has GLOSS SEAL'R technology for a luminous color with a gel shine finish. It should last up to 7 days without top coat.
Glass bottle is designed in a square shape. It has that fancy plastic top that you take off and reveal the applicator underneath it. I guess this is a fancy system that high end brands use. I don't really care for it. In fact, some may think that the nail polish is broken - those that don't "get" the system.
In each is 10.5 ml of product. I believe the price for one is 2.95€ (I bought it in Austria, but I think in Slovenia it's the same price). These sets cost 2.95€ for two shades.
The brush is wider than normal and rounded. I love these rounded brushes, because it makes it so easy to apply nail polish perfectly around the cuticles. I usually just do three swipes with these kind of brushes. My only critic is that one of these brushes was already a bit frayed and it didn't perform as well as it should.
Formula of both is creamy and easy to apply. With lighter shade you need two coats, but with darker shade you could apply just one. Pigmentation is actually really nice.
They dry fairly fast and you don't need any top coat. I find that they have a nice shine (not as good as if you apply Seche Vite over it) and they actually last a long time. As I've said many times, I have weak nails and both of these lasted on my nails for about 4 days. Which is a lot for my nails. It's actually categorized as an extraordinary category of nail polishes in terms of long lasting power on my nails. I tried one shade with a Seche Vite top coat over it and it chipped on the second day. So I'm assuming that these perform best without the top coat.
Catrice ICONails 10 Rosywood Hills
I got this set because of this shade. It's nothing like I already own and it looked like a perfect mix of warm brown an mauve. Depending on what skin tone you have, it might look more purple mauve based or more warm brown based. Because I have a warm skin tone, it looks more brownish on me. This is essentially a perfect every day shade for the fall.
You can apply only one thicker coat and it covers the nail entirely.

Catrice ICONails 38 Honeymoon Is Coming Soon
Lately, I've been loving nude nail polish shades. Especially those that are lighter than my skin tone and have white base to it. This is a true beige nude shade. It has white base, but is warm beige toned. It would probably look amazing on many skin tones. On me it also looks a bit warmer, but I like the fact that it's still very light.
Two coats will cover the nail completely and give you an opaque look.

I am in love with both shades. Nude is one of those flattering nude shades for light skin tones. It would also look nice against tanned skin. Browny mauve shade is the perfect combination of colors for the fall, if you wan't something a bit different, but still very wearable.
The formula is nicely pigmented, applies evenly, dries fairly fast and has a good amount of shine. I absolutely love the fact that it's in fact long lasting. Those of you that have strong and healthy nails could easily wear it for 7 days without chipping. I can safely say that I am positively surprised by Catrice. If other shades perform as well as these two, they have a drugstore winner at an affordable price.
You can see the swatches of all the shades on Innen Aussen.

Review: Catrice Lip Foundation Pencil (020 Caramel Blonde To Go, 030 Addicted To Cafe Au Lait)
22 Apr 2017
One of the Catrice novelties that got my attention when I saw it in the store, were their Lip Foundation Pencils. I adore Essence lip pencil formulas, but Catrice's were usually a bit drier and they didn't have as many nudes. Now they came out with a range dedicated only to nude lip colors.
It comes in a pencil form with black design. The bottom and cap should indicate the shade inside, although I would urge you to test them in the store, if they offer testers.
In each is 1.3 grams of product and it costs 2.59€.
My problem with lip pencils is that they usually have names written on the pen and once you sharp it a few times, the name is gone. These have names on the caps, just don't mismatch them, if you have more then one.
It's a regular pen that you have to sharp and it fits into most regular sharpeners.
Catrice offers 4 nude shades. The lightest one 010 Can't You Hear That Super Base? was a bit too pink for my liking. I like nudes to be more warm toned and less pink. I also didn't get the darkest shade called 040 Take You To The Chocolate Shop as it looked too dark for my natural lip color. In general these are all very much suited for light to medium skin tones. If you're darker, these will look too pale on you.
I got two shades that seemed the most similar to my natural lip color, although I have very pale lips anyway. The shade 020 Caramel Blonde To Go is a more pink toned nude with warm undertone. 030 Addicted To Cafe Au Lait is more peach toned nude and it also has warm undertone.
I compared it to some of my other similar lip liner shades. Golden Rose Dream Lips Lipliner in 501 is the peachiest nude of these all and it's somewhat brighter than others. Essence Lipliner in 11 In The Nude (old formula) has similar warm nude tone, but it's a bit more brownish and slightly darker.
The formula reminds me of the old Essence Lipliner formula. New one is a bit harder to the touch, while older version was creamier. Essence Longlasting Lipliners are even creamier than this one from Catrice and could easily be categorized under lipsticks. I find that it's the most similar to my Golden Rose Dream Lips Lipliner formula, which I adore. It has the perfect combination of good pigmentation, creamy waxy texture and it's not greasy.
Finish doesn't have any shine. It's what they describe velvet matte and I agree. It's smooth to apply, but gives you wanted precision and it wears comfortably. I don't feel like it dries out my lips, but it's a matte formula, so it won't nourish the lips either. It will accentuate any dry patches that you may have.
On me these last really well, like normal bullet version of matte lipsticks.
You can also see how both shades look on me. The difference between these is minimal, but you can still notice one being more pink and one being more peachy nude.
I am a true lover of nude lipsticks and even more so of nude lip pencils. With a nude lip pencil I can define my lips and even cheat a bit with making them slightly larger on certain parts. It gives you the lasting power of a matte lipstick, but doesn't dry out your lips. Formula is creamy enough, but also precise enough for detailed application. Both nude shades are perfect my-lips-but-better shades. I am really impressed with these and for the price, you should really try at least one shade, if you like nude lip pencils.

Review: Avon True Colour BB 7-in-1 Nail Enamel - Caring Creme
11 Mar 2017
Lately I've been loving nude nails. I don't like my nude nail polishes to be too skin like with a beige undertone. I want them to have some color. Since I saw that Avon had some lovely shades in their BB 7-in-1 nail enamel range, I went for the one that looked the most perfect for me. Caring Creme has now become one of my favorite nude shades.
To have a 7-in-1 concept nail polish is a bit ambitious. I don't usually believe in these statements, because to be honest it can't really fulfill them all. I basically got it purely because of the shade. But Avon says that these nail polishes will offer you 7 benefits:
-creamy and flawless color
-built-in base coat
-increases nail strength by 72%
-UV filter to prevent yellowing
-smooth nail ridges
-color and care
-protect nails
-cover imperfections
It comes in a standard square glass bottle with black plastic top. In it is 10 ml of product and the regular price is 5.90€. They have four shades in the range. One is more brownish based, one is pinkish and one is more lavender.
The brush is straight cut and almost a bit longer than usual brushes. It makes the application easy enough and you can apply it precisely.
Caring Creme is light nude shade that has warm peach undertone to it. I like that it's lighter than my skin tone and that it has warm base to it. I don't like my nude nail polishes to be too pink or brown, so this is the perfect nude shade for my warm skin tone. It might look less peach tinted on someone with cooler skin tone.
Formula is creamy and has fairly good coverage for a shade that is so light. One coat will still leave stripes on the nails and it won't cover it all. I always go in with the second heavier coat and it makes the color even and opaque.
I was surprised how well this lasted on my nails. Ever since I have been using Eveline Nail Conditioner, my nails have been long and healthier looking. That's why nail polishes in general last longer on them. But this one actually lasted 6 days with no chipping. I was really impressed. It's very long lasting.
I took photos of it under the artificial light as well as under the natural light.
I got it because of the shade and I was right. This is definitely my kind of nude. It's lighter than my skin tone and has warm peach undertone that goes well with my warm skin tone. It has creamy formula that needs two coats and it's very long lasting. I actually have nothing bad to say about it. If you're looking for pretty pastel shades, I recommend you to check out Avon's BB line.
