Hada Labo Lotion Glow And Mega Illuminating Moisturizer Cream
Hada Labo introduced a new Glow range in our drugstores and I got to try their new products. I love them all even the other cream that I didn't feature here today. Hada Labo products have that lightweight, yet moisturizing feel on the skin with no fragrance. Their products always make my skin look so plump, hydrated and glowy. New Glow range feature tranexamic acid (as well as their famous hyaluronic acid) great for brightening the skin Illuminating moisturizer also contains licorice root which is great for calming irritated skin. I have been using them both. I like lotion in the morning and I use cream on top of the lotion in the evening.
Olival Amino Activator
This contains a few of amino acids and derivative of azelaic acid as well as some other anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and soothing ingredients. It comes in a pump and it's basically a cream texture, but quite lightweight. I loved using it in the evening, because it was moisturizing and soothing, yet light enough for the summer months, though my skin has been a bit drier than usual. So far I have loved so many Olival products that I just can't find a bad one. It's a brand that seems to have all the right ingredients, lightweight formulas and is fragrance free.
La-Roche Posay Anthelios UVMune 400
La Roche-Posay is my holy grail SPF to take on a beach vacation, because it has never let me down so far. This is the only SPF I trust it to not give me sunburn on my face. I repurchase it every year. La Roche-Posay is leading with its innovative SPF filter technology and they always seem to be on top of their game when it comes to sun protection. This year the weather on vacation wasn't properly summery and hot as it usually way, but this still did a good job. It's a very liquid formula, but it still gives your face a lot of sheen, sticks well to the skin and because of chemical filters leaves no white cast. It has a bit of alcohol scent to it, but not too much.
I have an extensive review of this mask in
separate post, but I've had their first version for two years and now they've basically revamp it to feature more light bulbs, have more wavelengths to penetrate deeper layer of the skin and they've made it softer and easier to wear. I love red light therapy and it's the only beauty tool that I actually religiously use in my skincare routine. I use this mask about three times a week on my face and I also use it on my eczema prone hands. It helps with reducing inflammation, evening out skin tone, making my skin generally softer to the touch and helping to reduce those deeper lines and make them look less deep. It's a great tool to boost your collagen production and hence elasticity and overall look of your skin.
Olival Amla Shampoo and Fenugreek Shampoo
I am very skeptical when it comes to trying out new shampoos. For some reason I just tend to stick with what I know and don't really experiment a lot. I have oily roots and damaged dry ends, but my scalp has been relatively less oily this summer than previous. I have to say I like both of these shampoos and I am even thinking of rebuying them. Amla shampoo is for frequent washing of weakened hair. This is lightweight enough for my fine hair, but it still does great job of cleaning the scalp even without using sulfates. Panthenol is great for soothing the scalp. It has delicious sort of green apple fruity scent and it leathers so well. You need a tiny amount.
Fenugreek shampoo is to alleviate hair loss as it contains fenugreek extract and panthenol. It should stimulate hair growth, reduce hair thinning and give you volume and freshness. This one is even thinner in texture which is sometimes a problem because it just sips through your hair, but I don't hold that against it. It makes my hair feel so soft after the use, yet it doesn't grease up the roots or feel heavy on my thin hair. Again, it leathers like crazy, so you really don't need a lot of product. This one has more of a herbal oriental scent, but still lovely. I was judging these off of packaging and body was I wrong. The formula on both is great, good at cleaning, yet not striping the hair and still lightweight enough and they both have surprisingly nice sort of natural scent that isn't that typical sweet drugstore shampoo scent.
Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream - 27 Honey Beige
This is my
favorite BB cream of all time. I just wish the shade range would be better. Lighter shades are way too grey toned for my olive to warm skin tone and the darker shades are just too dark. 27 is one of those warm yellow toned shades that is in fact too dark for me, but I mix mx white foundation mixer with it and it gives me a good match for my summer complexion. This is my favorite, because of the formula. It's the best of skincare and foundation in one. This gives you great coverage, better than most BB creams in Europe, but it still tends to look natural, not cakey, not dry and not obvious on the skin. This stretched on your face and wears all day long. It looks like your perfected skin.
The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer - 1.5
Another Korean makeup product that has been in my routine for years now. This is in my opinion the best affordable concealer there is. Again, the shade range is limited, but thankfully it works for my skin tone. I use
01 in winter and 1.5 in summer. 1.5 is more on the neutral to slightly warm range of colors. If you are light tone, you would love it. This gives you good amount of coverage, doesn't look dry, is easy to blend and doesn't settle in fine lines or pores. It's sort of a natural finish, but I always set it with powder anyway. I keep repurchasing these, because they are so good.
Catrice Melted Sun Cream Bronzer - 020 Beach Babe
This might actually be one cream bronzer that I actually get to finish up. For some reason this formula just works with my skin so nicely. It's not too creamy, so it doesn't just slide all over. There is a good amount of coverage, but you can build it up slowly as well. It gives sort of a natural finish that I can sometimes skip setting with powder and the shade just warm enough, but not orange and not too dark for me. I use a big dense brush with it and just tap on the face for the best results. This blends itself, so it's great for anyone.
E.l.f. Camo Liquid Blush - Pinky Promise
This has now become my favorite cream blush. These blushes are very pigmented, more than any Rare Beauty blush I have tried so far, so it will last you a lifetime. However, they are still easy to blend and have a great staying power for such a creamy product. I love Pinky Promise, because it's the perfect pink for most skin tones. It just brightens up your complexion and looks like a healthy dose of color on your cheeks. Perfect for any time of your.
Essence Pure Nude Highlighter - 10 be my highlight
Who remembers this classic from Essence? I am not even sure, if we still have this shade in the drugstore. This has to be one of the best subtle drugstore highlighters that just looks like a healthy sheen on your skin, no glitter, no shimmer. This shade is too dark for me in the winter, so I always pull it out in the summer. It gives the perfect sheen from within look to your skin. If you have dry skin and want to use this as a finishing powder, you could probably do that too. I just use it as a highlighter.
