I think I found another favorite lip formula from Revlon. I have very few lip products from them, but all are very loved and very comfortable to wear. This is another one of those ultra comfortable formulas that I always have in my bag on the go.

Revlon is one of those brands that always does great quality lip products. Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish is one of their latest range of liquid lipsticks. As soon as I saw the finish of these, I knew I would love them. Mine is in a wearable mauve nude shade called Date Night.

Then I saw it on Lookfantastic and since I trust Revlon formulas, I decided to give it a go. I've been so stuck with my foundations lately that I really wanted to try something new.
Review: Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor - 645 Forever

I already have one shade of Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor and it's Devotion. This is definitely the most comfortable matte liquid lipstick formula I have ever tried. So it's no wonder I decided to pick another shade.
It has a plastic matte transparent packaging with silver top. The edges are rounded, which I like. In it is 5.9 ml of product and it costs 12.23€. This is definitely one of the more pricier products and I probably wouldn't buy it, if it weren't 40% off in one of our drugstores, so it cost me only 7.34€.
The applicator is fairly flat, but looks like a cone from the side. It's soft and just fluffy enough. Application is easy and you can get a very precise line with the applicator. There isn't too much product on the applicator, which I prefer, but I do usually go in another time to get it really opaque and thicker on the lips. It's just my preference.
645 HD Forever is a perfect my-lips-but-better kind of shade. I would describe it as a muddy nude pink. It has pink and brown undertones in it, but is more of a muddy shade and sometimes almost looks mauve like. I feel like this color looks different paired with different colored makeup. If I have something more neutral, it's more brown and if I have something with purple tones, it makes the lipstick look more mauve. This is that perfect every day shade that isn't too brown nor too pink. Just perfection.
I have a few similar shades to Forever, but no dupes. Avon Mark Plump It Lipstick in shade In The Buff is that muddy pink toned nude. It's lighter and more pink with kind of brown undertone. Avon True Supreme Noursihing Lipstick in shade Nurturing Nude is again lighter and has a bit more of that peachiness to it, although it's very much that mix of peach and pink neutral. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in shade Stockholm it's also a bit more pink toned and lighter.
Formula is creamy, very pigmented and feels ultra soothing on the lips. It almost feels like a lip balm and lipstick hybrid. It's definitely a thicker cream, but that gives it that opacity in one coat. It's one of the most comfortable formulas on the lips. This won't dry out your lips at all. It almost feels a bit soothing and nourishing. It's the perfect matte liquid lipstick formula for those that have naturally dry lips.
At first it has a creamy sheen, but then it dries down to a complete matte finish. Drying down depends on how thick coat you have on, but it can take up to half to one hour to completely dry down. If that bothers you, you can blot it down with a paper for a quicker matte look.
I find it very long lasting, once it actually dries to a matte finish. But if you'll be eating a lot, you'll definitely need to reapply it. It wears off very evenly too, but is not transfers proof.
The scent is the same as with Devotion, a pleasant sweetness. As I've said before it somehow reminds me of cookies and strawberry ice cream.
I absolutely adore this formula since I have naturally dry lips. I can wear this matte liquid lipstick without worrying of drying out my lips. It has very comfortable thicker creamy formula that needs a lot of time to dry down to a proper matte finish, but it wears lovely. It has good staying power and it wears off even too. The shade is the perfect neutral nude shade for every day wear. I would love to get more shades of these. I especially like Seduction and maybe some more bold darker colors.
If you like proper extremely long lasting, budge proof lipsticks with an instant matte finish, you probably won't like these.
Review: Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor - 600 HD Devotion

Revlon is one of those brands that I haven't explored much yet and it's mostly because I can't get it in my city. The products that I've tried so far, have all been impressive. I like their nail polishes, adore Colorstay foundation, loved lip butters and now I've added another great lip formula to my collection.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor comes in a matte looking plastic transparent packaging with silver details. I like their rounded square design and simplistic look.
In it is 5.9 ml of product and the price is around 12€.
It has a flat applicator, which goes into a cone shape, if you look at it from the side. This makes the application nice and you can apply it really precise without the need of using additional brush. I usually dip in again, because I like a heavier application.
Shade 600 HD Devotion is warm medium muted pink. On me it has a bit of that mauve undertone, but it looks pretty much like a warm pink.
I have a few similar pinks in my collection. Avon Plump It lipstick in Rose Kisses is lighter and brighter pink. Avon Plump It lipstick in Uptown Pink looks the most similar in shade. It's just slightly darker than Devotion and has a bit more of that berry purple tint to it. Avon True Supreme Nourishing lipstick in Nourishing Pink is darker and slightly more red toned pink.
Formula is very creamy, pigmented and feels really comfortable on the lips. It's so pigmented and thick that if you apply heavy coat, it may start to gather in the inner corners. It's one of those formulas that you can feel on the lips, but it's like a luscious lip balm. I adore how nourishing this feels and it doesn't dry out the lips at all. With one swipe you can cover entire lips.
At first it's really creamy and has quite a lot of shine to it, but as you wear it more, it becomes matter. That being said, it becomes completely matte, but it may take you even as long as an hour, if you apply a heavier coat. By no means is this a typical matte liquid lipstick formula. To me it feels more like a pigmented liquid lipstick that becomes matte with wear. On the bottom photo you can see how shiny it is at the first application and then it becomes completely matte.
It doesn't accentuate dry patches and it's actually perfect for those of you that have naturally drier lips like me.
Once it dries, it's very long lasting. I can even eat with it and if you're careful, you won't need to reapply it. It transfers a bit, because it's not that cement dry texture. Through the day it fades evenly.
It also has such a pleasant sweet scent to it. I can't really describe of what it smells like, but for some reason it reminds me of cookies and strawberry ice cream.
The formula is a joy to wear for all of us that have naturally dry lips. It's a bit annoying that you have to wait so long for it to become matte, but it's so comfortable that I forgive it. Applicator is precise and the packaging is lovely. Scent is amazing and it has a long wear time. This shade of pink is the kind of pink that I love the most besides a really bright one. It's a very wearable muted pink that still gives you a lot of color. As I am a nude lover, I would love to get my hands on other shades like Seduction and Forever, but I have a feeling I have similar shades in my collection. The color range has been expended and there is a good amount of basic pinks, reds, purples and nudes for every taste.

Review: Revlon Parfumerie™ Scented Nail Enamel - Autumn Spice

I've wanted a shimmery brown nail polish for so long. I love brown in any form, may it be makeup, nail polish or clothes. It's hard to find brown nail polish with warm shimmer in it and this Revlon's one is also scented which is a plus. I didn't know what warm spice would smell like, but it's a perfect fall scent.
It comes in a square glass bottle with a sphere black plastic top. I don't see it as a perfume bottle per se, but it could be in a way. It's cute and I'm not bothered by sphere top. I still find it big enough to hold in my fingers and I don't have a problem with application, but I hear some do.
It has a straight cut brush, but it's thinner than most. Application is still pretty much normal, because the brush wideness as you push it down. This brush might be amazing for those with small nails.
In the bottle is 11.7 ml of product and the regular price is 6.99€, but I got it on sale for 3.49€ on Click2Chic.
Formula is not too thick and not too thin. In my opinion, it's just perfect. You can apply one thicker coat and it will cover the entire nail, but I prefer to apply two coats. It dries really quick for a regular nail polish.
As soon as it dries up, it starts to release the scent. The scent reminds me of gingerbread cookies with some added spices, among which I detects cinnamon. It is in fact spicy and autumnal. I get cookie cravings whenever I smell it. Scent lasts for a really long time. The first day the scent is really strong and might be too strong for those who are sensitive to scents. I could smell it whenever I had my nails in front of my mouth or nose. As the days go by, the scent wears off. It still smelled on the fourth day, but it was a really faint scent. Even if your apply top coat on top, it still smells.
Autumn Spice shade has the most beautiful warm chocolate brown base. In it is copper gold shimmer and the nail polish gives off a redish copper sheen. It's epitome of fall in a bottle. I love how rich and warm this shade is. Shimmer in it gives it a slight grip on the nails, but don't actually looks 3D. I always apply top coat on top, but you can go without it just as well.
It's really long lasting. I've had it on my nails for four days with minimal chipping only on the tips of nails. You don't even need top coat, because it lasts just as well on its own. I have some regular Revlon nail polishes and I find them all pretty long lasting. I guess Revlon knows their nail polish formulas.
Now I'm kind of curious how other scents from this line smell. I am so happy that I finally got this shade, because it has been on my wish list for a while. The scent is very autumnal. Nail polish has good formula and it lasts on my nails for a long time. Shade Warm Spice is the most gorgeous warm brown. I am very pleased with it and would definitely recommend you to try it, if you like autumnal shades and scents.
4 Products That Will Make Your Makeup Stay All Day

New Year's Eve is quickly approaching and if you plan to go to any party, you'll need a makeup that will stay on you all through the night. That is why I wanted to share four of my favorite products which help to prolong the wear of makeup. I've tested them out and I definitely see the difference when I use them or don't.
Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer
The first product that will help you with your base is this Revlon's primer. I'm on my second bottle, which means I really like this, because I use it only on special occasions. It's a silicon based primer which you put on before foundation. Because it's silicon based, it means that it will make your base very smooth. It fills in all the pores, therefore creating a perfect base for your makeup. It's also a bit sticky and the foundation sticks to it better. This will make your foundation look flawless and stay on for a longer period of time without the shine breaking through. If you are very oily, obviously this won't last on you as well as on someone with normal skin.
In it is 27 ml of product and I think the price is around 15€. The pump is very hygienic and if you don't use it every day, it will last you for a really long time. Review here.
Avon Ideal Flawless Eyeshadow Primer
This is an eye shadow primer that I swear by. I must be on seventh pot or so. It's my favorite eyeshadow primer. Using an eyeshadow primer can make a huge difference. First of all it will even out your skin tone on the lid. It will help eyeshadows to stick to it, which means it will definitely prolong the wear of them. It also makes eyeshadows more vivid and it really brings out their pigments making your eye makeup look really pigmented. I find that this one makes especially any Avon True Color Quad eyeshadows a lot brighter and more pigmented looking.
It only comes in one shade, which is Light Beige. The shade is actually very much like my skin tone. It's creamy and very slippery, so it applies with ease, but still evens out the tone.
In the pot is 3 grams of product. The regular price is 6€, but you can often get it for 3.50€.
Here is the proof with the actual eyeshadows. First two eyeshadow from the left are from Avon and the rest are some random ones. As you can see the top half of my hand doesn't have anything on. On the bottom half I applied this primer. I think it's pretty clear where the primer starts.
E.l.f. Makeup Lock And Seal
It's one of the most versatile products. This is clear liquid which seals in everything... eyeshadows, lipstick, glitters, liner.. You can use it over any makeup. You need to pour it into a plastic pot that comes with it and wet the brush with it. Then you take the makeup product and apply it. I guarantee you this will seal in the deal for the whole night. I especially like to use it with glitter, which tends to fall off everywhere, over eyeshadows and cream liners, which can sometimes transfer on the upper lid. I haven't tried it over lipstick, although I feel it would do the same thing.
You get 15 ml of it and it costs only 3$. I have a review of it here.
Avon Makeup Setting Spray
To seal the deal you need setting spray as the last step in your makeup routine. It seals in all the makeup that you've put on your face and prolongs the wear of it. I feel like this one from Avon also does a good job of getting rid of too much powder. It helps the skin to look more natural and gets rid of the excess powder look. I will say that I don't think the difference is major, but it does help my foundation to stay matte for a longer time and it doesn't slide as much. I like the fact that it's an easy to use spray with a transparent liquid. It doesn't smell like anything and it doesn't feel tightening on the skin. It just leaves a veil of liquid on the skin, which feels like a protective layer.
In it is 125 ml of the product and the regular price is 11€, although now you can get it for only 4.90€.
These are the products that I reach for when I want my makeup to last for a really long time. I know it's sometimes hard to find setting sprays and primers in our little country, for a reasonable price that is, but I think I gave you some good recommendations for when you'll need something like this. Those products are definitely not necessary, but they do make a difference.
Review: Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Foundation (150 Buff)

This has
been long overdue. You know, when you have some products that are just so good that you
take them for granted. This is why, I still haven’t written a proper review about my all-time favorite foundation Revlon Colorstay. Nonetheless, it’s here now. Prepare to be persuaded.
This
foundation comes in a heavy glass bottle, like most drugstore foundations. The
top is black and plastic. Packaging is actually very durable, so don’t panic if
you drop it.
The prices
are different among stores, but it’s usually around 12 or 13€ and you get 30 ml
of it, which is also standard amount for drugstore foundations.
Here is the ingredients list. It also has SPF 15.
It has one
flaw, which is the fact that it doesn’t have a pump. I’ve tried to find a good
excuse for it, but can’t. It’s thick, but obviously not as thick that it wouldn’t
go through pump. The pump is also not expensive, so Revlon’s only excuse is laziness.
Mateja has mention that standard pumps
fit on Revlon bottle. So you can use pumps from Bourjois Healthy Mix or Rimmel
foundations. I haven’t tried it yet, because I can work with it without the
pump too. Because of the screw on top, the top of the bottle can get a bit
dirty. It’s best to either pour some of it on your hand and then use the brush
or sponge or if you like using hands, just put a finger over top and turn it
upside down, then turn again to prevent spillage and you should be left with enough amount.
Foundation
is thicker, but still very easy to spread. It has a smooth and creamy feel, but it dries
to a matte finish. The finish is not as matte as L'Oreal Infallible 24h-matte. It still looks "healthy" and moisturized. It’s not drying and it also doesn’t accentuate dry
patches. Of course it depends on what moisturizer you use before, especially if
you have dry skin. Keep in mind that I have combination to oily version. There’s
also one for normal to dry skin.
The drying
depends from how thick your coats are, but in general it’s fast drying
foundation (although not as fast as L’Oreal Infallable 24h-matte). If you have
thinner layer it dries in a matter of second, while thicker coat needs more time
to dry and it may be sticky for a longer time.
Once it’s dry it doesn’t move, at all. Seriously, the staying power is just amazing. It will literally last all day, if your skin is normal to dry. If you’re more on oily side, the long lastingness might me shorter, but still the best for a drugstore foundation.
It oxidizes a little, but I find that this depends from what I use underneath and how oily my skin gets through the day. If I use very hydrating creams, it doesn't seem to oxidize as much. It does oxidizes more in the summer time, when my skin produces more oil through the day. So I advise you to try some testers before, if you're afraid that the color will become too dark.

The
coverage is fascinating. It can be thinned out to a light to medium coverage.
Some would say that is full coverage foundation, but I would say that it’s
medium to full coverage, although you can definitely build it up to full
coverage. It might look a bit cakey by then.

Application
is crucial with this thicker high coverage foundation. Lately, brushes don’t
seem to be working for me anymore. I hate how they leave stripes on my face.
You get the most flawless and “natural” finish with makeup sponge. If you want
to make it thinner, use a very moist sponge and tap on the face. If you want
fuller coverage, squeeze excess moisture out of sponge and apply it by rolling
onto the skin. This will cover pores and even out skin surface for flawless
look. You can also use it with fingers, but this can result in a thinner
coverage and maybe a bit less even.
I love the
smell of it. It smells like a regular foundation smell, the ones that remind me
of clay, but in a good way. The fact that it doesn’t have added perfumes is big
plus for me and I’m sure sensitive skins will appreciate it, because it means
less irritation. This is the only foundation that does not irritate me. Not
that others do, but when my skin is hyper sensitive and irritated, foundations
like Bourjois Healthy Mix further irritate my already sensitized skin with
their added perfumes.

I use the shade 150 Buff, which is the second lightest from the range. They also have Ivory, which is more pink toned and wouldn't suit me. Buff is slightly yellow toned, but still not as much as Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. So I find that this could work for neutral skin tones as well. It's definitely not the lightest, but it's light enough for most of the time. I will say in the winter this is a bit too dark for me and I have to mix it with white foundation.
I also swatched it with some other foundations. L'Oreal True Match N1 Ivory is the lightest and it has more of a pink undertone. L'Oreal Infalible 24h-Matte 11 Vanilla is the darkest of them all and has that obvious pinkish orange undertone to it. Bourjois Healthy Mix in 51 Light Vanilla is the yellowest of them all and it's also the second lightest shade. Catrice Nude Illusion 010 Nude Ivory is very neutral and it's in the medium of lightness among these others. Revlon Colorstay in 150 Buff is also pretty yellow toned and fairly light, although it does oxidizes a little.
This is how my skin looks like just with Revlon Colorstay. I didn't use any powder on top.
When I put on top all my powders, bronzers, highlighters and blushes, it looks pretty much flawless. I hope you can now understand why I love it so much.
Impeccable high coverage, matte finish (that almost doesn't require powder, but doesn't look drying), neutral to warm undertone and amazing staying power, is why I love it so much. This is definitely my holy grail foundation and I'm going to be repurchasing it time and time again.
If you have normal/dry version, I would love to hear how is it different to my combination/oily one.
