Nude Glam

I love colorful makeups, but I almost prefer nude looks. They go with everything and look like a better version of your own face color and eyes. For this looks I wanted to create something shimmery that you could wear on New Year's Eve, but I still wanted it to be very much wearable. I just love the comfort of this look, but it still adds a bit of glam.

I started by applying eyeshadow primer and sealing it in with a bone colored matte shade. Then I used a very light neutral matte brown in the crease and I deepened it with a darker red toned matte shade. I wanted to bring out the crease a bit more with a redish matte shade just to give it even more warmth.

To add some darkness to the eye, I chose a chocolate matte brown in the crease, but focused it mostly on the outer corner. On the lid I applied shimmery copper shade. This one looks gorgeous. I used the same matte brown shades on the lower lash line as I did in the crease.

This look definitely needed fierce winged liner. Around the inner part of the lower lash line and in the inner corner I applied light gold shimmer shade as a base and went over it with light gold glitter in a cream form. This way it won't crease up your eyeshadow as it would on the lid, but it still gives you lovely sparkle that you can rock all night long. I'm kind of sad that the camera doesn't pick up the beautiful sparkles that this glitter gives off.

I finished the eye makeup with lots of mascara to add volume and definition. You can apply some falsies, but I decided to keep it more wearable.

On my face I used a mixture of hydrating foundation and a BB cream. Then I concealed with concealer and powdered with a pressed powder. I also added bronzer, because it just goes well with the warmth of eye makeup. I chose very light golden highlighter and light dirty peach shade as a blush.

On the lips I also went with a nude, but warm peachy and glossy liquid lipstick. With this eye makeup you can totally wear any bold color, but since I know I'll be eating a lot and because my lips are really dry, I went for something more comfortable.

This is a nude option for the longest night of the year, if you choose to dress up. I'll probably spend it at home doing what I love the most - pampering, cuddling and eating. So this makeup look would be perfect for my kind of night. What are your plans? Either for makeup or others.

Essence Liquid Lipstick 03 Almost Real

New In (7)

I decided to post another new in, because I got myself some new products. I also got a few gifts, because you know..the season just calls for these.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow - Moonwalk and Game Face

Colourpop finally had free international shipping and I decided to try some of their products. Since lip products are mostly matte and I had a really hard time choosing shades, I decided to first try some of their eyeshadows. I chose two shades that I know I would wear a lot and that are shimmery.

Moonwalk looks green in the pot, but has in fact orange copper base and a yellow green duo chrome to it. It's in pearlized finish which is essentially a bit sheerer finish with lots of small shimmer that gives it that lovely sheen.

Game Face is one of their best sellers and for a good reason. They describe it as a penny copper shade and it's just that. I adore this shade. It's so rich and warm. This should be named after me, really. It's in an ultra-metallic finish and really does have that pigmented metallic finish to ti.

Eyeshadows have the most unique kind of like mousse texture. It's not cream, but it feels creamy and it's kind of bouncy or whipped. It's harder to pick it up with a brush, so applying it with fingers works best. They blend easily though.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask

I first saw these masks on YouTube channels and they got raved reviews, so I decided to buy this one, because it had highest ratings. It's a regular clay mask. I like that it's creamy enough that you can spread it on the face easily and it's not too thick looking. This small pot will actually last you a long time. It has very interesting scent, sort of like herbal and spa like and I actually really like it. It dries to a dessert kind of look and it does clean the skin well.

Zoeva Caramel Malange Eyeshadow Palette

I have been waiting for Zoeva to come out with new eyeshadow palettes. In my opinion Zoeva has best powder eyeshadows for the price (even though they're constantly raising their prices). When I saw Caramel Melange it looked like a perfect addition to my Zoeva collection. This is essentially warmer sister of Cocoa Blend. It's by far their warmest selection of shades. There's also a bit more of the matte shades, 6 in total and 4 shimmery ones. All shades are different than in Cocoa Blend and there are no dupes. It's a must have for all your warm lovers.

Cvetka Bio Herbal Deodorant - Hug of Softness (Bio zeliščni deodorant - Objem nežnosti)*

This is Slovenina natural skin care brand. I decided to test out their natural deodorant, because my friend makes one herself and says it actually works on her skin. So I was curious enough to try Cvetka version. I chose the gentlest one, because I have sensitive skin. The base is basically coconut oil, sesame oil and baking soda. There's also a lot of added herbs. It has a very herbal scent and kind of fresh like menthol. It reminds me a lot of kitchen herbs. Texture is soft and a bit waxy. It's also not smooth, because I can feel baking soda and it almost feels like a peeling. Other than that I haven't tested it enough yet.

Cover Gray 2-in-1 Mascara Wand And Sponge Applicator*

I don't have grey hair yet, but I wanted to test this on my roots. Especially, because I color my hair and I was interested to see if this could cover the growth on roots. It does not. This is essentially more for those of you that have a few grey strands here and there and would like to cover them until the first wash. It is also nice to sort of thicken the hair or make your hairline look fuller. They sent me the wrong color, so I tested both medium brown and dark brown.

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask - Green Tea and Bamboo

I love green tea version. It has that lovely real green tea scent, is very hydrating and soaking wet. It feels like a super hydrating serum. So these were repurchase. I also decided to get bamboo versions. So far, I haven't tried these yet.

Garnier Moisture + Aqua Bomb Tissue Mask Super Hydrating & Repulping

I also haven't tried this one yet, but it sound lovely and I hope it works the same. Our drugstores are finally getting more into this sheet mask trend and I am on a look out for good ones.

Essence LE Glitter In The Air - One for All Shimmer Drops

Very light and sheer liquid shimmer. It has a beige almost a bit grey toned base with very light golden shimmer in it. You can sheer it down and almost apply it as a primer or mix it in with foundation or you can apply it as a light highlighter. It can be build up to a metallic finish. I like that the shade is very light and perfect for fair skin tones. Shimmer in it is a bit obvious.

Essence LE Glitter In The Air - Nail Polish Remover Gel Ultra Strong

This is acetone based nail polish remover, but it has a thick gel like consistency. I've tried removing glitter manicure with it and it does work with the whole foil technique, but I have to test it out a bit more. I also feel like I use too much of it, if I just use it as a regular nail polish remover. Because it soaks into the pad and isn't as wet.

Catrice LE Pret-a-lumiere Strobing Gel Highlighter

This whole collection was calling me, but when I was in the store, I decided to only get this gel. It has unique gel consistency and it hardens like gelatine. It's thicker consistency, but it sheers down to a very transluscent finish. Obviously you can build it up as well. I also mix this in with foundation sometimes or use it as a very light glow on the skin. It looks pink and dark in the pot, but goes on sheer and has light golden sheen to it. You can spot shimmer in it, but it's not too big. I love that it's gold, but still light enough for light skin tones.

Face by Pixiwoo

I love watching Pixiwoos on YouTube and when I heard that they wrote a book full of makeup advice, I wanted it. It's definitely more of a makeup lovers guide on all things from skin, to makeup tools, makeup finishes and more. There are some gorgeous photos of models and creative makeup. It also comes with a free app that you scan on certain pages and it offers you additional video makeup tutorials. I only started reading it a few days ago, so I can't say much more about it yet.

Plantae Avocado Pear Eye Contour Cream*

This was actually a gift and it came with the serving plate and chocolates. Such a lovely gift by the brand owners. I actually had a tester of this cream before so I can say a bit more about it. It's a very liquid white cream that feels hydrating, but is not greasy. You need the tiniest amount. It has a herbal scent like most of their products. I haven't started using it yet, because I have some other cream to go through first.

The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel

My lovely Astrid always sends me the most smelly presents. Mango show gel has that lovely sweet mango scent that feels so refreshing in the shower.

The Body Shop Honeymania Exfoliating Cream Body Scrub

This smells amazing. It really smells like a true rich honey. Scrub has a very thick consistency with sugar in it as a scrubing part. I haven't tried it yet.

Only You Nail Colour 195 Front Row Diva

A lovely rich berry pink shade of nail polish that looks perfect for fall time. I haven't tried it yet though.

Casuelle Festive Body Glitter

I got this lovely gift from Sabina who always gets me the best gifts. This is a gold body shimmer in a powder form. It comes with a super cute pink powder puff. With it you can powder your body and it gives you lovely golden shimmer.

Aroma Herbal Cocoa Golden Bar

It's a butter bar made of cocoa butter and it has small sparse golden glitter in it. It comes in a solid form, but once it touches the body, the warmth melts it. I have been obsessing over this one on one of the beauty events and Sabina remembered it. I love how cocoa butter smells and this is amazing. I'll probably be using it only for special occasions, because I don't want to use it up too quickly.

Herbio Cotton Seed Shower Gel

I already have a review of it.  This is one of my favorite shower gels for sensitive skin. It has lovely sleepy gentle scent to it and it's in a gel form.

She also made me some really tasty coconut pralines. I adore coconut and those were really good.

Vichy Teint Ideal Illuminating Foundation - 1 Light

Regular compact powder. Unfotunately, I haven't tried many of these products yet, so I can't say if I like them or not. I just hope that shade 1 Light isn't going to be too dark for me.

LCN Nail Polish - Purple Chic

Basic purple shade of nail polish that also looks a bit more fallish to me. I haven't tried anything from this brand, so I'm curious.

La Roche-Posay Respectissime Mascara Multi-Dimensions

I have high hope for this one. I've already had one mascara from La Roche-Posay and it was amazing - La Roche-Posay Respectissime Extension Length and Curl. This one also has silicon wand which I love, so I am hoping for the best.

Vichy Idealia Smoothing And Illuminating Cream Normal To Combination Skin

My mom had one of those creams from Idealia before and I didn't like it at all. Not enough moisturizing and way too scented. I'm hoping that this one turns out better, if not I'll probably just give it to her.

Avon Reindeer Bubble Bath Plum & Vanilla

It has a bit of sweet fruits scent mixed with some basic vanilla sweetness. I like Avon bubble baths and this one has the cutest packaging, so I'm sure I'll get a good use out of it. Lately, I've beenr eally enjoying taking baths.

Essence Glossy Kiss Lipbalm Cherry Kiss

One of those teenage looking lip glosses in a tube. It has slight red tint to it and artificially sweet cherry scent.

Essence The Little X-Mas Factory Super Rich Mini Hand Cream 01 Holiday Hugs...

Cute mini hand cream that has a very sweet kind of artificial scent. It doesn't necessary remind me of vanilla, but I do like the scent anyway.

Essence Kajal Pencil 04 White

Really soft white eye pencil. The pigmentation is not the best, but it should come in hand for some more creative makeup looks.

Essence Good Girl Nail Stickers

Super cute nail stickers with Christmas inspired designs as well as some classic flowers and butterflies.

I know this is not beauty related, but you'll for sure be seeing it on my Instagram as a prop. My cousin made us these cute white mugs. I love the writing on it and the whole look of it. It'll probably be my new eye makeup brushes holder.

Christmas Sparkle Nails

This year's Christmas nails are again my favorite Christmas color combination. It's sparkly red and gold. It represents Christmas lights that sparkle on the tree, but on a red base. This time of year it's all about sparkles and I think it looks minimal, but still kind of cute.

I used a base coat and then I applied Avon True Colour Perfect Reds Nailwear Pro+ in Ruby Slipper. A gorgeous red with red and gold shimmer.

Then I took a thin brush and drew on kind of sparkles, which are essentially snowflake shapes with one longer line. After that I used dotting tool and alternated between small and big dots for some added sparkle.

For this I used shimmery gold nail polish, Avon Magic Effects Molten Metal in Copper.

I finished with a fast drying and super shiny top coat, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. It almost looks like a wrapping paper design. I kind of like it. It's nothing too bold, but it definitely adds the needed sparkle.

Merry Christmas to you all and may you have lovely holidays filled with sparkles.

Let It Sparkle!

Christmas is fast approaching and I couldn't pass the opportunity to do a sparkly liner look for Christmas makeup look. I actually wore this yesterday, when I went shopping. I think a few of the sales people noticed my sparkly eyes, but no one actually said anything. They probably thought I was already embracing the Christmas spirit a bit too much.

I started my eye shadow look with a primer and bone colored matte base. Then I used very light warm matte brown to carve out the crease. I deepened the crease with warm matte brown. On the lid I applied matte orange red shade.

I darkened inner corners with a matte chocolate brown. Over the redish base I applied a sheer shimmery shade that gives off golden green sheen. I just used warm redish base to create a warm base underneath. On the lower lash line I applied the same light matte brown. Around the lash line I applied shimmery medium green shade and I darkened outer corners with a shimmery dark forest green shade.

For my eyeliner, I went strong and did a wing with a pen liquid liner. To add some of that sparkle that shouldn't be missing on Christmas, I added shimmery gold liner on top of it. Unfortunately this created a bit of chunks, but I don't mind. It looked prettier in person.

I finished with lots of volumizing mascara and a light golden highlight in the inner corners. Later I also decided that this look needs a bit of false lashes, so I added a few individual ones mainly to the outer corners.

I also applied my usual foundation, concealer and powder. This time I also contoured my cheeks just a tiny bit and added bronzer on the outer edges. I also used a creamy sheer golden highlight on top of foundation and I also went over it with a powder light golden highlight on the cheeks. For the blush I went with a muddy looking peach shade.

You can wear this look with nude lips to keep all the attention on the eyes, like I did here. I used a mix of light nude peach and brown matte lipstick.

Or you can pair it with a classic creamy red lipstick as I did here. Red lipstick is just perfect for a Christmas makeup looks. It brights us any skin tone and matches you to your Christmas tree - well at least in my case.

I love those sparkly eyes. Light catches all the sparkles and it even looks really pretty on slightly hooded eyes. It's also not too bright, so a red lip matches it well.

Review: Clio Kill Black/Brown Waterproof Brush/Pen Liner

Somehow I've ended up with three different Clio eyeliner versions. I first bought Clio Kill Black Waterproof Brush Liner version. Later I wanted to reorder it, but I ordered Clio Kill Brown Waterproof Brush Liner version instead. At the last try they actually sent me the wrong one, they sent me Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner version. It means I've ended up with three versions. Which is kind of good, because I can compare them now.

They all come in a pen version packaging. Black colors are in black and brown has a brown packaging. Brush versions have gold writing on it and pen version has silver writing. They also have a really secure closing. It seems to have some sort of spring in the cap. I store these upside down, because that way I get the maximum pigmentation and prevent them from drying out.

Each eyeliner comes packaged in a set. I got black brush versions with a mini fiber mascara that I already gave to someone, because I don't like these kind of mascaras. Brown brush version came with mini cleansing oil and black pen version came with duo makeup cleanser for lips and eyes. I haven't used any of these yet, because I don't use waterproof makeup, so I can't report on that.

I ordered them all on Jolse. Clio is often on sale, so the prices vary. Usually you'll get brush versions for around 10$ and pen versions for around 9$. In each is 0.55 ml of products which sounds alarming, but it actually lasts a really long time.

On the photo you may not notice much difference in the shades, but trust my word. Black pen version is actually the blackest of these and it's also the most shiny. It is a bit more liquid formula and it goes a bit into fine lines. Like most of felt tip applicators this one also tends to leak a bit into those fine lines, but it's actually nothing too bad. It needs a few seconds to dry down.

Black brush version is not the blackest shade of them. It's actually a bit less vibrant. It's also creamier and well pigmented. It dries really fast, faster than pen version. It's also more matte looking, though it still has a bit of sheen to it.

Brown brush version is less pigmented than the black. If you apply it really lightly it looks like a very warm medium brown. But I usually go over one line many times and then it becomes fairly dark almost a bit taupe brown. It also has a bit creamier formula and it dries really quick. This one looks the most matte out of these three. It doesn't have any apparent sheen to it.

Black brush version has a super thin brush applicator. It's really fine and you can create the thinnest lines possible. I adore this type of applicator. It gives you precision and you can create the thinnest wings. It gets dirty if you use it over shimmery eyeshadows and you'll need to clean it every now and then.

Brown brush version has the same precise brush applicator. It also gets dirty. This tip doesn't change shape or get frayed like some felt tips tend to do.

Black pen version has a classic felt tip applicator. It's fairly thin and still precise, but not as much as the brush version. I find it hard to create really thin lines. I haven't been using this one for a long time, so I can't report how well it holds the shape, but I haven a feeling that it may fray after some time. It also gets dirty with shimmer, but it's easier to clean.

These are definitely waterproof. I ran water over them and none moved at all. They also didn't loose intensity of the color.

After running them under the water, I also rubbed it and as you can see, brown disappears quickly, but both black versions were still there, although brush version seemed to be a bit more long lasting

I can wear these for the whole day and they don't transfer, budge or fade at all. Sometimes shimmery shades cover the liner, because my eyes get hooded though the day, but other than that those are amazing. You can sweat and it won't move.

I've mentioned that Diamond Beauty Eyeliner is my favorite eyeliner. As you can see it has pretty much identical brush applicator to Clio. Clio's seems just a tiny bit thicker, but they both perform amazingly. Diamond Beauty dried a bit too quickly for my liking. I have my first Clio Black Brush version since July and it's still going strong. I decide to change liners, because I have sensitive eyes. If you don't have this problems, it will last you for a really long time

Texture of Diamond Beauty liner is very liquid compared to Clio. It almost seems like a marker liner and it's definitely not as pigmented as Clio. It also doesn't apply as evenly and it looks sheerer. It terms of shade those are comparable and both look like a bit less intense black version.

Clio eyeliners don't have any unpleasant scent and they don't irritate my eyes. I think I have definitely found my favorite eyeliner. Black brush version is the best I've tried so far. I love the brown as well, especially for softer looks, but wish it would be a bit more pigmented. Pen version is just as good, but I am not a fan of felt tip applicators. It's just the matter of applicator.

On the bottom photos I'm also showing you how they look like applied on my skin tone. First is black brush version, then brown brush version and the last one is black pen version.

Clio Kill Black and Brown Brush Liners are definitely my favorite eyeliners. I adore precision of the brush applicator, long lasting power, the fact that they are waterproof, stay saturated for a really long time and have good pigmentation (brown a bit less). I also recommend pen version for those of you who like felt tip applicators. They also do brown in pen version. There's nothing bad to say about these. Some may found fault in the color, because black brush version is not the blackest black, but I don't mind them. I also think the price is reasonable for what you get. Highly recommend these, if you're an eyeliner lover.

Nadja also wrote a review of black brush version and I advise you to read her thoughts as well for a second opinion.
