These are three new shades of Avon Mark Liquid Lip Lacquer Matte and they supposedly have a satin finish, but in my opinion it's the same matte finish with shimmer in it. Three new shades add to the color range with a bit more edgy, nude and bright look.
Packaging
These come in smaller transparent plastic square tubes with black matte top. They are small, but a bit bulky, although still nice to carry around. Shade name is written on the bottom of each bottle.
In it is 7 ml of product and the regular price is 9.50€ (currently on offer for 6.90€ in Slovenia).
Applicator has a fluffy petal flat shape. It's not too wide and gives you precise application. The only problem is that the applicator can hold too much product, so you can just take some off.
Formula
Formula of these is like a thicker whipped mousse. It's much thicker and more opaque than for example NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. You have to apply it lightly, because they can quickly go on too thick. I advise to go over the lips with your finger and evenly spread it out to a thinner layer.
It applies very smooth and has almost a bit of silicon feel to it which is lovely. They are definitely not greasy or slippery in any way.
Pigmentation is great, you can basically apply one swipe all over the lips and get intense color.
Finish is definitely as matte as with their regular matte formula, the only difference is that these called satin contain small silver shimmer. The shimmer is fairly small and doesn't look glittery. It sticks on the lips and I haven't notice it fall down through the day.
Performance
These are fairly long lasting, but not transfer proof. They usually start to wear off in the inner rim of the lips with drinking a lot or eating, so you'll need to reapply. But since I have very dry lips, these grab on them well and stay there.
They have a comfortable wear, although are not moisturizing in any way, but also don't feel drying.
Scent of these lipsticks is different from color to color. These all have that artificial scent, except Rock Star has that typical Avon fruity scent.
Colors
You can choose among 10 different matte shades and now they've added 3 new shades, so 13 in total. New shades all have small silver shimmer in them which gives them something to sparkle, but doesn't look too obvious.
Kissy Face - light warm pinky brown nude with silver shimmer.
Mystique - medium warm red based brown with silver shimmer.
Rock Star - medium warm vibrant yellow toned red with silver shimmer.
Kissy Face is a great nude that was missing in the range. Something that is not too white based or too brown. I think shimmer in this shade looks nice, but is unnecessary in other two shades. Mystique is a lighter and more neutral brown that you'll like, if you thought Passion It was too dark. I love how well this pairs with chocolate eyes. Rock Star is a more darker and more neutral alternative to Orange You Happy, which is very orange. It's a bit more wearable shade and not as vibrant and I love it.
Comparison
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Coral Fever - more coral toned, has more pink tone to it.
MAC Lady Danger - the most bright orange tint out of all of these.
Avon Mark Liquid Lip Lacquer Matte Orange You Happy - also very orange toned, but darker than Lady Danger.
Avon Mark Liquid Lip Lacquer Matte Rock Star - more of a pink toned orange red.
Avon Mark Plump It Truffle - the most similar in tone, but it's darker.
Avon Mark Liquid Lip Lacquer Matte Mystique - lighter in color.
I like all three shades, but would actually prefer, if they had that regular formula without the shimmer. The shimmer only looks nice in Kissy Face. In Mystique it doesn't look that bad either, but I dislike it in Rock Star. It seems a bit unnecessary. For a satin finish, shimmer should be even smaller and denser. But now it's pretty much matte with hints of shimmer. The formula is nice and I like how well it grabs on the lips, but doesn't feel drying. It also wears for a long time, but you do need to reapply it on the inner rim of the lips.
