Review: Caudalie Vinosource-Hydra Products

Vinosource range from Caudalie has been recently revamped with new design and more recyclable packaging. I have to say the new pink design is lovely. Caudalie is known for grapes as one of the main ingredients in their ranges. I remember their Beauty Elixir water being iconic back in the days and every makeup artist used it.

Inglot is one of those brands that I didn't hear a lot about before I started to get more into makeup. Back in the day on YouTube everyone seemed to be using their gel eyeliner and since then I've always wanted to try out some of their products. I already reviewed some of their pigments and contour powder and now I'll talk more about two of their most popular products - AMC Eyeliner Gel and Duraline.
Review: Maybelline Tattoo Liner - 900 Onyx

I first heard about this liner from Mateja and when I saw it in the store, I decided to give it a try. As much as I love liquid liners, it's sometimes too much work to put on. Sometimes I just prefer a pencil which smudges quickly, gives me just enough definition and I'm already out the door. This new Maybelline Tattoo Liner is one of the better ones from the drugstore that I have tried in a while.

Does anyone remember Catrice having gel liner in a pot? That one was my favorite gel liner. It stayed in place, was black and so affordable. I was so sad, when they decided to discontinue it. I wanted another gel liner, because it gives you that matte black finish and it's great for creating thinner lines or more creative eye makeup. After some research I decided to try out Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Black.
Review: Catrice LE Pret-a-lumiere Strobing Gel Highlighter C01 Luminious Lights

Catrice's Limited Edition Pret-a-lumiere was one of the most buzzed about collections. It included all types of strobing products in different formulations. I guess strobing trend got so popular that everyone wanted cheaper alternatives from Catrice. I too was charmed by promo photos and in the store I decided to pick up only gel highlighter, because I already own too much highlighters. Btw I'm also preparing my highlighter collection post.
Gel highlighter comes in a glass heavy duty pot. It's really secure and expensive looking. Not the best for travel though. It has black plastic top with rose gold metallic writing. In it is 23 ml of product and it costs 5.29€. I bought it in Müller and now you can also get it in DMs.
The shade is called C01 Luminious Lights and there's in fact only one shade to choose from. It looks dark in the pot, but goes on a lot sheerer.
It has gel texture that reminds me of gelatin. You can scoop out the product and it transforms back into a smooth surface.
It's pink based, but has gold shimmer. If you apply it really sheer it's more golden with variations of small shimmer and bigger gold shimmer. If you apply it heavily you can create almost metallic look, but with a sheerer base and a very heavy gold glow.
You have few seconds of playtime with it. Once the gel turns into a powder finish, it doesn't move. It has good lasting power, but it doesn't last the whole day on my skin. By the evening it fades.
You can probably mix it with foundations and body lotions. It's light enough for warm light skin tones, but keep in mind that it's very golden. It mostly looks very natural on the skin. I don't find that you can overdue it. Skin has lovely natural looking glow with nice gold shine. Pigmentation is on the sheerer side, but you can always build it up.
It looks best applied with fingers or fluffy brush. I find that sponge soaks up to much product and it doesn't give enough payoff.
Compared to Kiko Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter in 100 Gold it has that same warm beige leaning towards pink base, but it has cool silver sheen to it. It's also less metallic looking. theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer has that warm gold sheen to it, but it lacks pink base to look like Catrice version.
On the left photo I only have BB cream and concealer and on the right photo I added gel highlighter.
I applied it on top of cheeks, above the brow, down the center of nose and on above the lip.
I like gel texture which is something different. The shade is right up my alley, because it has intense gold sheen, though it looks pink in the pot. It looks natural, but can be build up for more intense almost metallic look. It lasts well, but not nearly as good as some other powder highlighters. I think this would be perfect for spring and summer, because it looks lightweight and more natural. It could also be a lovely collectors piece for all of you highlighter lovers, because the gel texture seems unique enough to own it.
Review: Avon Gel Finish nail polishes (Creme Brulee, Dazzle Pink, Red Velvet) + giveaway

We're starting Avon nail polish reviews with the most classic gel finish from their Gel Finish range.
The Gel Finish range has total of 25 shades that you can choose from. The shades include neutral beige and brown shades as well as most of the colorful shades. The only shades that are missing are green. There could also be a wider range of blues, since I know so many like blue nail polishes. I would also add a classic black.
The nail polishes regular price is 6.50€, but now you can get them 1 for 4.90€ and 2 for 6.90€ here. If you've been wanting to try Avon nail polishes, now it's the time. In each nail polish you get 10 ml of product.
Avon sent me three of their Gel Finish shades to try. They are Creme Brulee, Dazzle Pink and Red Velvet.
Avon Gel Finish Nail Enamel - Creme Brulee
Creme Brulee is a warm toned light nude shade. If I go for nude shades, this is what I go for. I don't like those that look almost brown or too skin like. I still want my nude to look light or lighter than my skin tone and a little more on the white side.
It's the least pigmented of all three nail polishes. That is probably because it is also the lightest. Lighter nail polishes are always less pigmented than darker. You need at least two coats for this one, maybe even three. It can be tricky to get an even application with this one.

Avon Gel Finish Nail Enamel - Dazzle Pink
Dazzle Pink is salmon pink. You know one of those that looks almost dirty pink and has coral undertone. It also has small silver almost white shimmer in it. The shimmer gives off a really nice sheen, when you're outside and the sun is shining. The shade is one of those pretty pinks, that is not really my style, but I know many would like.
It has good pigmentation, but because it's a light shade, you will need at least two coats to get it really opaque.

Avon Gel Finish Nail Enamel - Red Velvet
Red Velvet is that kind of ruby red shade, but almost looks like a metal shade. It has small shimmer in it, which makes it look like a liquid metal. It's very neutral rich red shade, perfect for any occasion.
This one is the most pigmented and pretty thick in consistency. It could be opaque in one thick coat, but I always use two.

Creme Brulee is very thin in consistency and pretty sheer, while Dazzle Pink is a lot thicker and more pigmented. Red Velvet is the thicker in consistency and very pigmented. My guess after trying these three is that the lighter the nail polish, the less pigmented and thinner. If you want to buy darker shades, they'll probably be thicker in consistency and also a lot more pigmented. Keep that in mind, when purchasing.
The finish of these is shiny, like I would expect from a range called Gel Finish. It should mimic that gel nails shine and I think it does. Avon nail polishes are in general not very long lasting on my nails, but I don't even want to state that, because obviously nothing stays on my nails. For example many rave about the long lasting Essie nail polishes, which last about a day on me. So, you know, this always depends, but on my weak nails they don't last particularly long, but they also don't chip the first day.
The brush is regular, straight cut.

Here you can see how pretty Creme Brulee looks like on my nails. This particular shade makes them look like fake nails, even my boyfriend said so.

Dazzle Pink je losos roza odtenek z majhnim srebrnim skoraj
belim šimrom. Šimer daje čudovit sijaj,
ki je viden na soncu. Je dobro pigmentiran odtenek, ampak ker je bolj svetel,
sta potrebna vsaj dva nanosa.
Red Velvet je rubi rdeč odtenek, ki izgleda skoraj kovinsko.
Vsebuje majhen šimer, ki izgleda kot tekoča kovina. Je dobro pigmentiran in en
debel sloj bo dovolj, ampak jaz vedno nanesem dva sloja.
Creme Brulee je zelo tekoč in precej prozoren, med tem ko je
Dazzle Pink veliko bolj pigmentiran in gostejši. Red Velvet je pgost in dobro
pigmentiran. Po teh treh odtenkih lahko sklepam, da svetlejši kot je odtenek
tanjša bo formula in manj bo pigmentiran.
Finiš je res sijoč, kot bi pričakovala. Na meni Avon laki ne
zdržijo dolgo, ampak tega nočem postaviti kot dejstvo, ker na meni skoraj nič ne
zdrži. Na primer Essie laki so na večini zelo obstojni, med tem ko pri meni
gredo dol že prvi dan. No Avon laki niso najbolj vzdržljivi, prav tako pa se ne
krušijo že prvi dan.
Čopič je standarden, ravno odrezan.
V objavah o Avon lakih bom podarila tri sete po dva laka.

Review: Avon Ultra Color Indulgence lipstick Honey Flower and Peach Petunia

As promised, here are separate reviews for full version Avon Ultra Color Lipsticks. You've seen me mentioning these lipsticks a lot of times on my Instagram as well, bu they really are that good. I did get a lot of testers, but I decided I absolutely need to buy some full versions. I got Honey Flower and Peach Petunia and I think I scored. You let me know, what you think ;).
The packaging is not something I would say is this lipstick's forte. It's actually plastic shiny black, good, but nothing extraordinary. I find that it snaps good for now, but it feels like it might get looser after time. It's also very slim as is the bullet, which is great for a very precise application. Because let's be real, not many of us have luscious big lips.
The lipsticks currently cost 4.50€ (full price is 8.50€) and you get 3 grams of lipstick. I think the price is pretty amazing for such a good formula.
I have actually already made swatch of Honey Flower, but I wanted to feature it here too. It's one of those shades that would appeal to many, because the shade is a mixture of pink, brown and peach. It's actually peachier and more pigmented version of MAC's Patisserie.
Here you can see that MAC Patisserie is a bit pinkier and sheerer than Avon Honey Flower. If you find Patisserie too pink and sheer, than you might find a good match in Honey Flower.
This is a bit brighter neutral shade on me. I like it, because it gives me some color, but doesn't look too brown or dark on me. It's the perfect neutral, but kind of colorful shade.
Peach Petunia is my new favorite lipstick shade. It's a very bright coral shade, that looks like a mixture of pink and orange. Surprisingly it looks more orange on me. I guess it depends on what skin tone you have.
I love this shade, because it's a nice more toned down variation of bright red lips. It's one of those shades that will instantly brighten up your complexion and give you some color. You can make it brighter by applying more.
The formula of these lipsticks is gel formula, but it's very pigmented for a moisturizing lipstick. It's one of those rare formulas that never dries out my lips (and I do have really dry lips in general) and it glides on the lips like a dream. It doesn't go over the lines and you can absolutely wear it without lip liner. It gives you a little bit of shine, but is also really pigmented. One swipe leaves a really nice bright shade. By applying more you can intensify the shade, but you'll also be risking it smudging over the lip line a little. I find that this fades really evenly. I drank and ate and it did came off in the middle, but that's normal for that kind of formula. Just reapply and you're good to go. I really recommend this formula to anyone who has extremely dry lips and likes well pigmented lipsticks in a variety of shaded.
The color range is huge and I'm sure everyone will find something. I do think they lack very neutral shades, so just be aware that all the shades have a bit color to them.
Review: Avon Ultra Color Indulgence lipsticks

Avon has launched new line of lipsticks. I decided to purchase testers of few shades. Avon Ultra Color Indulgence lipsticks intrigued me, because of their moisturizing gel formula. As much as I love matte finish lipsticks, they do tend to dry out my lips. Don't even get me started on the state of my lips right now. Sahara has nothing on me and you'll even see that on some of the photos from this post.
I chose five shades and those are Honey Flower, Red Tulip, Rose Bouquet, Red Dahlia and Chocolate Rose. I've just realized right now that they all have flower names.
Those testers cost 0.25€ each and for those of you who didn't know that, you can ask a person that orders your Avon products, to order you some lipstick testers. Most of the lipsticks that are in the current catalog have testers available as well.
Full size lipsticks will currently cost 4.90€ and contain 3 grams of product.
Honey Flower is a subtle peach nude shade. It's warm toned and nicely pigmented.
Red Tulip is a vibrant classic red shade. I find it to be classically blue toned, but very vibrant in color. It's also super pigmented.
Rose Bouquet is a warm toned rose shade, that seems to have purple and brown undertones to it. It's a very muted almost mauve shade. It's also nicely pigmented.
Red Dahlia is a dark whine red shade. It's actually not as pigmented as most of the other shades. I think this line can be problematic with darker shades. Also because the moisturizing formula may lack in the pigmentation department when it comes to dark shades. The shade is more on the cool side.
Chocolate Rose is, as the name suggests, a chocolate deep brown with red undertones. It's definitely warm toned and the least pigmented of all the shades. In fact, I think the pigmentation might be a problem with this shade. Unless you have naturally really dark lips, then this will just add some moisture and shine.
The formula is an absolute dream. It slides on the lips effortlessly. It feels really nice and it doesn't dry out the lips at all. I find the gel formula to give a really nice shine and comfort on the lips. It's also non sticky. Seriously love the formula of these lipsticks. A dream to wear. I just think with moisturizing lip shades it's always safer with lighter shades. Because darker shades seem to be lees pigmented, therefore can look more patchy on the lips. This will stuck on dry patches. However, it's a dream formula for those of us who tend to get really dry lips. Now, I just wish I would order more neutral shades and that the range would actually offer more nude shades.
