Asian Skincare 2: Kose, Haruharu, Pyunkang Yul, Laneige, AHC, Beauty of Joseon

Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil

It's one of those typical thin and lightweight cleansing oils that you don't need a lot. A pump or two is enough for the whole face. It removes even very long lasting or waterproof makeup. Oil turns milky once you splash it with water and leaves no residue on the skin. There is no scent to it either. Pump packaging is nice and works fine. I actually got it because it was one of the cheapest cleansing oils. Plus I already both refills which come in a bag and are even cheaper, which I love. I will definitely repurchase it in the future as well.

In it is 230 ml and I got it for around 8€. Refills have 200 ml for around 6€.

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture 5.5 Soft Cleansing Gel Unscented

So I am trying new cleansing gels as my second cleanser, because I have been stuck on the same drugstore option for years and I wanted to see what else is out there, though this is one category I don't like to spend my money on usually. It's a very basic transparent gel formula that lathers a bit. It cleanse off any traces of makeup and is good for a morning cleanse as well, because it's gentle and unscented. I like it and my skin did too, but I just found it to be very similar to for example Balea Med version from drugstore. So I wouldn't spend an extra euro for this anymore.

In it is 100 ml of product and I got it for around 7€.

Pyunkang Yul Low pH Pore Deep Cleansing Foam

Now this for example is second cleanse product that is pricier, but totally worth it in my opinion. It's like a thick white cream that has tiny barely noticeable grains which exfoliate the skin along with witch hazel. There is also my favorite centella asiatica, hyaluronic acid, tea tree extract and beat glucan. It comes out like thick cream and once you add water it turns into a foam. You need the tinniest bit possible, which is also why this will last you for such a long time and it's worth the price ( I must have had it for four months). Pea size is enough for the whole face. My skin always felt so cleansed, polished and soft after I used it. It almost felt like a gentle acidic cleanser - though it doesn't seem to contain any BHA or AHA. Don't remember it having any smell either. Gentle, yet effective.

In it is100 ml of product and I got it for around 9€.

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

It's a slightly viscose toner that has some slip to it and once you apply it, it gives your skin that slight hydrating layer. It's one of those funny products that it almost feels like nothing, yet the skin loves it and you notice that. There is no scent and it's actually a short ingredients list of only seven ingredients. This is the perfect toner for anyone with sensitive, irritated skin that just wants something very basic, but effective. I am contemplating on getting full size in the future.

I got this mini sized 30 ml version for around 3€.

Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Gel Moisturizer

This was a gift with purchase that I got with another order. Gel type of cream perfect for combination and oily skin. It almost feels like a splash of water on the skin. This would be perfect for me for the summer. It claims to have hyaluronic acid in it and some mint leaf extract to regulate sebum. It is scented and it does linger a bit, but the formula itself is lightweight and feels moisturizing. It's a nice moisturizer, especially for summer, though I would probably find something similar that is a bit cheaper.

Full size contains 50 ml and it costs around 35€.

AHC Youth Lasting Real Eye Cream For Face

It's an eye cream that can also be used on the face. I don't expect a lot from my eye creams, I just wish them to be a bit richer than my face moisturizer and maybe have some anti-aging ingredients to help in the long run keep it as it is. This one contains peptides and it's apparently anti-aging as well as brightening. I don't have major issues with dark under eyes, so I can't say about that. It's one of those thicker creams that still feels very lightweight and it applies smooth like a silicon primer. It gives you needed moisture and nourishment around the eyes, but doesn't clog my pores or feels heavy in any way. I'd say this is that nicely rich, but lightweight texture that you'll love, if you are not in your 20s anymore. Plus it's a huge tube that lasted me at least a year. It is scented, if that bothers you around the eyes. I would definitely repurchase it, because I love the texture.

In it is 30 ml and I believe I got it for around 10€.

Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ PA++++

It's one of the most popular Asian SPFs and I can understand why. I would say this is thicker than your usual gel type of Asian sunscreens, but still lighter than EU sunscreens. It has quite a rich texture that blends into the ski well. On darker skin there would probably be some white cast left over. I personally like it, but it wasn't the best for my summer skin. I feel like this is perfect for normal and dry skin, eventually for combination skin as well, but not for oily. People that want's glow to the skin and a nourishing feel that isn't to heavy, will love it. It also doesn't have any scent, so sensitive skin will like it to. I have other favorites from Asian brands, but wouldn't mind using it again especially in winter.

In it is 50 ml of product and I got it for around 11€.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask EX Berry

This is a mini version of the infamous Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I have the EX version and upon the research, I have found that this is apparently a newer formulation that has perfume higher on the list (so stronger scent), has added coconut oil and apparently shorter list of ingredients than the original version. It also promises to kind of exfoliate your lips through the night, so you wake up with more supple and less flaky lips. I am not sure what the original version is like, but this one is just fine. I wouldn't say it's anything special and I wouldn't use it to help heal very dry lips, because it doesn't. This is just a very comforting thicker lip formula that stick well on the lips and protects them from outer aggressors. I don't find it particularly moisturizing or nourishing, it's just good for day wear. Mine has berry scent which I like, but they have many scents available and many mini versions especially for holiday which are nice gifts. I will still use my Bepanthen in the evening to keep my lips in perfect shape.

This mini version contains 3 grams and it costs around 3€.

I bought most of these products on Stylevana. But since I was picked for a price that then wasn't actually applicable, I sort of restrain from the shop. Their discounts are sometimes a bit shady as well. Make sure to take them with a grain of salt, because the original price is usually way up there whenever something is discountinued.

Some of the products like Pyunkang Yul you can also get on iHerb and there are many more online stores offering Asian skincare in your local country just make sure to search for it.
