I have had these products for quite a while now, but I just couldn't come around to write the actual review. Then I realized I accidently deleted my previous notes on these and their comparisons, but I managed to save most of my thought and write them all down. It's all about the new products for autumn and winter 2020/2021 that have been added to Catrice range. Catrice is one of my favorite drugstore brands so I am always looking forward to trying new products.
Packaging
It comes in a glass bottle with gold plastic top. Pump lets you control the amount you pump out. In it is 30 ml of product and it costs 7.09€.
Liquid texture is very spreadable and it blends out well. Coverage is medium. It evens out skin tone and covers most imperfections. Finish is sort of satin as it has a bit of sheen and it leaves behind sticky layer which I have to powder down.
It contains hyaluronic acid and watermelon seed oil. There is slight powdery scent to it.
Colors
Here in Slovenia you can choose among four shades only and most of them are light to medium toned.
010 Cool Cashmere is cool pink toned light shade, but it almost adopts more neutral on my skin tone. Though it's definitely not a match for my yellow olive tone, I can make it work with warmer bronzer. So far, I'm not sure there is a match for light yellow to olive tone.
Comparison
This is definitely the most pink cool toned foundation I own. Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily in 150 Buff is much more yellow olive toned and Catrice HD Liquid Coverage in 010 Light Beige is more of warm neutral tone and the darkest out of these three.
Performance
As I mentioned, you have to powder it down or it will transfer easily. It looks a bit obvious on my skin, even over the smallest texture and it catches in fine lines. My pores also look bigger with it as the foundation doesn't really go over them, but rather accentuates them.
My problem with this formula is also that it lets my sebum come through and I can look very shiny with the combination of texture which looks unpleasant. Sometimes it seems to look better, but only if I apply it in a very thin layer. But it's definitely not for oily or combination skin. It's also not all that long lasting and that's mostly because it transfers easily, it doesn't really dries down and locks in.
Poreless Perfection Powder Universal Shade - 010 Universal Shade
Packaging
It comes in plastic packaging with nude design. In it is 9 grams of product and it costs 5.09€.
Formula
It's a pretty classic powder formula, not too wet or dry to the touch. Powder isn't as finely milled as some loose powders I've had. It gives a bit of coverage, but mostly just mattes down any foundation you have under.
Colors
It comes in one shade which is supposedly universal. It's not white, like most of their powders were in the past, but has warm yellow tone to it. However, on the skin it doesn't give much color, it just blends into my skin tone.
Performance
It definitely sets and mattifies foundation underneath, but I find it a bit heavy, meaning it can look obvious if you apply a lot on. Plus, it doesn't keep my skin matte for a long time, so this isn't perfect for oily skin. It's just a very classic powder. I prefer something finer and lighter on the skin.
More Than Glow Highlighter - 020 Supreme Rose Beam
Packaging
It's plastic packaging with transparent lid, so you can see that beautiful embossed flower design through it. In it is 5.9 grams of product and it costs 4.19€.
Formula
It's wet to the touch formula which is a bit harder to pick up with a brush. But with fingers you get very intense color payoff with metallic finish. Shimmer in it is fine and the shine is amazing.
Colors
It comes in three shades light champagne gold, champagne rose and lighter medium gold.
020 Supreme Rose Beam is light neutral rose toned champagne shade with metallic sheen. The formula is very similar to LE Glow in Bloom highlighters and this shade is almost the same as C03 Magnolia Blossom. That one is just a tad more pink toned.
Performance
It's very reflective, so it will emphasize texture. It's also pretty opaque in color, so it will look ashy on anyone medium to dark toned. Fluffy brushes pick up less product than anything denser or fingers. It blends fairly well and the staying power is definitely good.
The Coral Nude Eyeshadow Palette - 010 Peach Passion
Packaging
It comes in transparent plastic with peach base to compliment color selection. In it is 9.5 grams of product and it costs 5.09€.
Formula
These are extremely soft buttery eyeshadows to the point that mattes are almost too buttery and blend out too fast. Pigmentation is descent, but you need to build mattes up. Shimmery shades are more creamy and more pigmented.
Colors
There are 9 shades in this palette. At a first look I wouldn't say this is coral selection, it's mostly just neutral and warm nudes and one vibrant orange. I like that some of the shades are more neutral and there is a good mix of mattes and shimmery shades.
1 - pale matte neutral bone nude.
2 - light shimmery warm gold.
3 - light matte warm camel brown.
4 - light matte neutral taupe.
5 - medium shimmery warm copper.
6 - medium warm brick orange.
7 - medium warm bronze brown.
8 - medium to dark neutral taupe.
9 - pale shimmery neutral champagne.
You have matte nude, shimmery inner corner nude, matte browns for the crease, pop of orange to warm it up and shimmery neutrals to put on the lid. My favorite shade is 7 bronze color and 5 shimmer copper shade which looks deceivingly neutral in the pan, but swatches much more copper warm. I also really like shade 4 for a basic contour in the crease.
Performance
Some of these mattes blend out too easily which means they blend into each other and you loose intensity. There is a lot of kick-up in the pan. Shimmery shades are best applied with finger to get full intensity. Vibrancy fades through the day and I find shimmery shades also don't stay as shimmery through the whole day. But it's one of those formulas that you don't need skills with it, shadows blend out like a dream, so it's a foolproof for any makeup beginners. All the shades compliment each other and there aren't any too metallic finishes or bold colors.

24h Brush Liner With Coconut Water Longlasting - 010 Ultra Black
Packaging
It comes in matte plastic black packaging with gold design. It has short thin brush applicator which can create thin or thicker lines, depending on the pressure. In it is 3 ml of product and it costs 3.09€.
Formula
It's liquid formula which dries down fairly quick to complete matte finish. Pigmentation is good.
Colors
010 Ultra Black is indeed very intense black color.
Performance
You can create very thin line or press it down harder and create thicker line. I like brush applicator, because it's more precise than a felt tip, but can be harder to work with for beginners. You have to control the pressure to get desired thickness lines. It's also harder to not touch your eyelashes with it. Because it's pretty liquid it will seep between the lashes and that's harder to clean off.
Once it sets it doesn't move. There is no transferring or smudging and in general this lasts on my lids the whole day. However, it's not waterproof.

Plumping Lip Liner 020 What A Doll
Packaging
It comes in black plastic packaging with the cap and bottom being in the color of the product. It has fine sharpened tip which doesn't need to be sharpened. You just swirl the bottom and it comes out. In it is 0.35 grams of product and it costs 2.59€.
Formula
It's a creamy formula which glides on the lips, but isn't too waxy or slippery, so it sticks to the lips well. It's got good pigmentation and the finish is completely matte.
It contains peppermint oil which you can smell and feel just a bit once you apply it and then it sort of goes away and I don't find it irritating on my lips.
Colors
There are 10 shades available, mostly nude mauves, some pinks and a red and a brown.
020 What A Doll is that perfect medium warm dirty mauve nude that will be the perfect nude color for many skin tones. I actually really like this color to pair with any makeup look.
Performance
It's matte, so this won't make your lips feel hydrated, however I also don't find it particularly drying. It's creamy enough that it won't emphasize dry patches too much and it sticks to the lips and is pretty long lasting on my dry lips.
Volumizing Lip Booster - 140 Rosewood Hills
Packaging
It's small transparent tube with silver cap. Applicator is fluffy and flat. I find it easy to apply lip color on the edges with it and I don't need a separate brush or lip liner to get it perfect. In it is 5 ml of product and it costs 3.79€.
It's very creamy formula with good slip to it. You can spread it with ease and the pigmentation is very nice for lip gloss. It leaves that shine on the lips, but the base is almost like a liquid lipstick.
It contains menthol which you smell and feel on the lips as it tingles them and sort of feels like it's evaporating on your lips. This doesn't actually make your lips any bigger - the shine of gloss may make them just appear bigger. I actually hate any plumping lip products, because they can be irritating on sensitive lips and I just don't like the feeling. However, I suffer through it with this one, because the color is so nice. It's definitely unnecessary to have in formula, if you ask me.
Colors
You can choose among 7 shades. They are all in the neutral to mauve pink spectrum.
140 Rosewood Hills is that perfect light warm dirty mauve brown nude. It's one of those my-lips-but-better shades that will suit many. Applied over What A Doll lip liner, it's the perfect combination.
Performance
In the formula is also jojoba and almond oil which give it that nourishing and soothing feel and it would be just perfect, if it didn't contain menthol which ruins comfortable wear of this formula. If you're lips are not sensitive then definitely check it out, however I much preferred their Dewy-ful Lips formula which were one of the best products ever.
Iconails Gel Lacquer - 100 Party Animal
I haven't tried this one, because I rarely apply nail polish anymore and I rather give it to someone that will get more use out of it. But I have tried Catrice Iconails formula before and I really like it. This one seems to have a metallic finish. 100 Party Animal is mauve shade with silver shine through it. I also like their wider rounded brush which applies nail polish so much easier around the cuticles without too much effort.
It costs 2.99€.
I am most excited about Brush Liner and Plumping Lip Liner. Those two are worth checking out. Liner is so black and matte. It applies and wears like a dream. Catrice lip liners are always great and this formula is just as amazing.
I definitely would avoid True Skin foundation if you have oily or combinations skin. Volumizing Lip Booster may not be for you, if you hate plumping ingredients and have easily irritated lips. Such a shame for menthol in it, because the formula and colors are really nice.
Highlighter is nice, but their more powdery formulas apply much easier, however this one gives that intense metallic shine, if you're more into that. Eyeshadow palette is great for anyone that wants something that blends out like a dream and is effortless to apply. Just something subtle for everyday wear. I am not a huge fan of powder, but it's descent - I still use it. I would like it to be finer and more lightweight.

I have such mixed feelings about the foundation. I hated it the first couple of times I tried it, it looked orange and cakey and like a huge waste of money lol But lately I've been enjoying it more although I agree it isn't long-lasting at all and that it isn't the best for oily skin.
ReplyDeleteI had exactly the same experience:). At first it looked horrible on me, but then at times it started to look better. I think mostly because I applied less of it and was careful with my skin care to not make my skin too moisturized. I guess this is one of those that on some it will look good and for some it just won't be nice at all.
DeleteHvala :). Ti lip linerji so mi res všeč.
Mene isto moti, ampak ok, ko želim ta full on eyeliner look se pač potrudim.
