Review: Rimmel Wonder's Swipe 2-in-1 Liner to Shadow - 001 Slay

One of the funnest ways to experiment with your eye makeup is with shimmery colorful liquid liners. I don't really own a lot of these. This one by Rimmel called Wonder's Swipe is actually a 2-in-1 product. You can use it as an eyeliner or eyeshadow. I've tried it as both.

Packaging

It comes in a plastic small packaging with top that matches inside color. It has thin felt tip applicator that makes it fairly easy to apply on the lid. It's also precise enough. I believe it costs around 8€. We have Rimmel only in DM in Slovenia, but I have seen it in Austria as well.

Formula

It's liquid formula that isn't too runny. It dries fairly quick and once it sets, it stays put. Pigmentation is slightly sheerer. You can go over the line a few times to make it completely opaque or apply it very sheer with little product on the applicator.

Colors

I believe there are 16 shades available, although I am not sure how much of them do we have in Slovenia. There is a lot of fun vibrant colors as well as deepened colorful blacks.

001 Slay is medium grey base with lots of small light silver, blue and purple shimmer. It gives it that lovely sparkle.

Performance

Despite being a sheerer liquid formula, this is long lasting as eyeliner. I didn't have any problems with smudging or fading. Shimmer particles can transfer onto your upper lid, if you have hooded eyes. As an eyeshadow it migrated into the crease on my oily eyelids. So keep that in mind, but it looks fabulous as a shimmery topper on top of other eyeshadows. Colorful shimmer in it gives it so much dimension. It's not waterproof.

Applied over a matte brown eyeshadow and on top of black liquid liner

I actually really like this liner. I love shimmers in it that give it so much dimension. Usually, I don't like grey colored anything, but the shimmer in it makes it so much prettier. It's such a lovely substitute for the usual black liner. Formula applies nice, it dries quick and doesn't move plus applicator is quite precise. I would use it more as an eyeliner, although you can also apply it as that light veil of shimmer on top of other eyeshadows. Although I usually prefer something chunkier with even more shine for that kind of topper.
