Pink is usually reserved for spring. But it's making a comeback in the form of an eyeshadow this fall. I've been seeing pink eyeshadow looks on famous beauty bloggers as well as Hollywood superstars. Apparently, you'll be looking through pink colored glasses this season. Pink eyeshadow is not the easiest to wear, since it has a certain 80's vibe, but it can be done. You can create subtle rosy hues or go for bold vibrant pink shimmery lid. It's all up to your personal style and level of commitment to this trend.
I have made two pink eyeshadow maekup looks inspired by this trend. The first one is pink toned crease paired with shimmery mauve lid. It's a classic glam look with matte crease and metallic shimmery lid. Because I like monochromatic makeup looks, I also paired it with a pink blush and nude pink matte lipstick.
I decided to build up my crease slowly, adding darker pinks as I went on.
On the lid I applied two versions of shimmery eyeshadows and blended the edges with a darker pink. Because black can often times look to harsh with pink, I decided to add brown eyeliner. The look is finished with lots of mascara and pink toned inner corner highlight.

The second makeup look is much simpler and a bit more everyday appropriate. I did an all matte pink lid with shimmery inner corner to add some sparkle and brightness. I paired it with a pinky lip gloss lip to contrast matte eyeshadow look.
This is a very simple look. I applied pale pink in the crease and a more medium toned pink in the crease. Finished it with brown eye pencil, mascara and shimmery inner corner highlight.

Pink is not my favorite color when it comes to eyeshadows. I much prefer something more mauve or purple. But I did browse through my eyeshadow collection and found some that I would use to create these kind of on trend pink looks. I included some more vibrant pinks as well as some more wearable washes of pink that almost lean muddy or purplish. It doesn't matter the shade, you can definitely steer away from bold pink and get more subtle hues, when it comes to adopting trends to your liking.
Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Rose Awakening shade 1 - pearly white based pastel cool pink. Great for all over the lid to create some light and brightenest or for the inner corners.
Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Rose Awakening shade 3 - muted medium warm pink. This is one of those really wearable pink shades that will suit cool as well as warm skin tones. I would put this all over the lid with some inner corner highlight.
Avon Mark Epic Intense Eyeshadow Mini Palette Color Crush shade 4 - medium pink with a cool purple sheen. This one almost looks purple on the lid and it gives off more of a fuchisa vibes. It's still in pink family.
Sleek i-Divine Ultra Matts V1 Floss - matte pastel pink great for building up the crease or for the inner corner.
Sleek i-Divine Ultra Matts V1 Pucker - vibrant magenta pink. This is for those of you that would go all the way in. This really gives you a bright pop of color to the lid.
Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Nougat - matte pastel mauve pink. This one is again great for building up that crease and it has a more neutral almost brownish base to it.
Makeup Revolution Soph X Pink Champagne - pastel shimmery pink with cool white sheen. This is the shiniest from this bunch and it's great as an inner corner highlight. It almost leans a bit purple already.
Makeup Revolution Soph X Strawberry Sweets - medium redish pink that will suits more those of you with warm skin tone. It's almost leaning on red, but it's still pink, just a lot warmer than most of the other shades.
Colourpop She Babe - light satin muted baby pink. If you have fair skin tone, this would look amazing all over the lid. It's got just enough muddy brown base to it and lovely satin sheen.
Colourpop She Dainty - light metallic dusty pink with cool sheen. This one also has that dusty wearable base to it and incredible metallic sheen. It's great to use as an inner corner highlight or a pop of color on the center of the lid.
Colourpop She Mademoiselle - light metallic mauve. This one has a lot of brown base to it and it's probably the most wearable shade. It's almost more brown than pink, but the sheen it's still pink toned, just warmer and more brown toned. Great for a subtle pink sheen all over the lid, if you're not up to a bold pink color.
Colourpop She Dear - medium matte warm red pink. This is again one of those shades that you wouldn't consider pink, but it is in its definition, it's just very warm toned and has that redish tone to it. This would be great as and all over matte lid look.
I've definitely forgotten about pink eyeshadow, even though it can look quite romantic and fun. It's more on my mind when the spring rolls in. But it's fun to see different makeup looks for fall rather than just always go for wine and burgundies. Pink can sometimes look too girly for my personal liking, but it's all about choosing the right shade and pairing it with other neutrals. Do you ever wear pink eyeshadow and will you get on with that trend?
