Review: Heimish Artless Glow Base SPF50+/PA+++

I once got a tester of Heimish Artless Glow Base and I really liked it. Ever since then, I was eyeing it, but never really bought it. Skin Trick saw that I had it on my wishlist and kindly offered to send it to me. Plus another product that I will talk in a separate post. I was so happy to finally get a full size. This is a real multitasker.

Packaging

The whole design of white, pink and grey speaks to me. It's one of my favorite color combos. It also has rose gold metallic details and writing. In general, I love the design. It's plastic tube with small hole opening which sometimes collects product around it, but thankfully doesn't actually spill it out of the packaging, which would be a shame.

In it is 40 ml of product and it costs 23.95€ on Skin Trick. This is Slovenian online shop, but it ships within Europe as well.

Formula

Heimish describes it as luxurious makeup base that provides the skin with hydration, SPF protection and primes the skin. It should be very lightweight and give your skin a luxurious glossy, bright and natural radiance effect as a soft and finely shining pearlinesss formula. It can be used on its own or under makeup

Pearl formula gives your skin brightness and refines skin texture for an even and smooth complexion. Serum-like texture is lightweight and moisturizing, while protecting your skin against UVA and UVB rays.

It also contains origanum majorana leaf and peppermint extracts which protect skin against the external environment and rosehip and thyme extracts which clarify skin.

Ingredients list also contains glycol for moisture, niacinamide for brightening and chemical as well as physical (titanium dioxide) sun screen filters which give it that high SP50+ or PA+++ sun protection.

It has added fragrance which smells pleasantly fruity

It's a white liquid cream texture that glides on the skin smoothly. It leaves behind slightly tacky layer which acts great as primer, because foundation adheres to it better. It's definitely lightweight for being such a high sun screen factor product, but it's also got that nourishing, slightly thicker, skin care layer that it leaves on the skin.

It gives the most amazing natural, yet still noticeable luminous finish. It really does look like crushed pearls. Usually these kind of formulas either have weak glow or shimmer particles that are just too noticeable on the sun. But this is much more sophisticated. You really can't see the shimmer, it uniforms an even sheen on the skin

The base itself is light and slightly on the cooler silver side, but then it also gives off light golden and a tad pink sheen, which makes it so wearable on many skin tones. In general it's more suited for fair to medium skin tones.

Performance

It's a true multitasker with skin care benefits, great for priming or just using on its own to give you that healthy luminous sheen. This definitely feels moisturizing as well as nourishing on the skin and it makes the skin actually look healthier, especially, if it's dry or dehydrated.

It's an amazing luminous base for makeup or you can wear it on its own on those good skin days to makes your skin look healthy and glowy. I use it as both. The more lightweight foundation you'll use, the more that luminous glow from the base will show through. Foundation sticks to it well and wears good through the day.

Sometimes, when my skin is more oily, I'll use this as a highlighter on only highest points of my face. Dry and normal as well as slightly combination skin will love this as a base. On those oilier parts of the skin this can be a bit too much, so maybe just use it strategically where you want the glow.

Plus this is basically the highest sun protection that you can get for your face, so it's also a sun screen. I skipped my sun screen when using this and so far I didn't get any sun burn.

Left: skin care only, Right: skin care and Heimish Artless Glow Base

I love how this product practically contains three steps in one. You can use it as a moisturizer, primer and sun screen. Plus, you can use it as a highlighter on those "no makeup" makeup days. Formula applies lovely, it sticks to foundation well, feels nourishing and moisturizing as well as gives you such a sophisticated luminous sheen on the skin. It's not shimmery or glittery, but it's still noticeable and makes you look so healthy. The packaging works well too, so I have no complaints for this product. Keep in mind that it contains fragrance, if you are sensitive to it as well as a lot of chemical sun screen filters which may as well be triggers for sensitive skin. I had no irritation with it though. But if you want that expensive luminous sheen with sun protection, I highly recommend this product. I think it's obvious, I really like it.
