Gold eyes with pink lips (date makeup)

Hey Beauties!

Valentine's Day is coming up and I couldn't not notice it, because it's literally mentioned on every single platform that I read. I think we should do something nice for a person we love on weekly basis, not just once a year. But I'll admit, it's nice to have an excuse one day a year, where you can be as corny and sweet or sexy, as you'd like to be. Unfortunately, this year I'll be working for Valentine's Day (yep, student jobs - don't get me started!), so I decided to leave you with a little date makeup look that would probably suit most skin tone. 


I love gold eye shadows, because I think they look particularly good with any skin tone. Gold is warm shade that lifts up any eye and it looks amazing under dim lighting or night time dates. Pink is universally most used shade of lipstick, although you may know, I'm not a fan. But since, I posted my Avon Ultra Color Indulgence swatches, I've been kind of liking some of the pinks. Go figure!

I started by building warm matte brown shade in and above the crease. I used lighter warm brown in the crease and a bit up. Then I added cooler light brown shade in the very crease. I added warm gold shade only on the center of the lid. I added dark matte brown eye shadow along the lash line. Then I went over it with brown eyeliner. You can stop here, but of course I just thought the look needed black winged liner. You may know, I do like that a lot.


I added the same matte brown shade along the lower lash line and darkened it around the outer edge with dark matte brown shade. I used highlighter (champagne light gold shade) in the inner corner of the eye to make it look really bright and rested. Then I finished with black winged liner and mascara.


I did my usual bronzer around the outer edges of the face and around the nose. I also added light champagne colored highlighter on the bridge of the nose, top of the nose, cupids bow and tops of the cheeks. For the blush I went with a very natural mauve pink shade. 

On the lips I used bright warm toned pink lipsticks.



Again another very easy and quick makeup look. I think the lips are statement here. I also really like the combination of gold and pink, because mostly I always see pink combined with silver.



So, I'm not going to ask you where you'll be for Valentine's Day or what kind of date are you planing, but I just want to know what combination would you choose for your date? May it be Valentine's Day date or any other. ;)
