In the past year or so I have tried and empties a lot of new skincare products and because I didn't write a review for each of those individually, I decided to do a group post. I have really liked some of these and they deserve a spot here so that I know for future reference and maybe you can draw some conclusions as well, if they would be for you or not. Let's start with cleansers first.
Bandi Professional Pure Care Vitamin Cleansing Oil
This was one of those rare cleansing oils that I almost felt was too liquid. Usually most feel too thick, but this one was running through my fingers and it became a rushing task of trying to massage it quickly into the face before it spilled all over me. However, I liked cleansing aspect of it. Let me just say I don't usually use cleansing oils over my eye makeup, because I use Bioderma for that. I just don't like that blurry vision and stinging in my eyes. Bandi cleansing oil did a great job at removing even long lasting makeup and it emulsified well under the water to a milky texture. There is no annoying greasy residue left either. I don't remember any sort of scent, but it does say fragrance in the ingredients list. Pump works fine.
You get a whooping 230 ml for the price of around 15€. I bought it on Dragocena.
Hemptouch Omega ÄŒistilno Olje*
Hemptouch is Slovenian skincare brand. A lot of their products are based on hemp extract and so is this cleansing oil. This one definitely felt more like a proper heavy oil. It's too thick for my liking and too greasy. I prefer lightweight cleansing oils such as Asian brand usually do. Because it was thick I also used more of it. It did remove even stubborn makeup well, but there was a bit of that oil residue left on the skin after it emulsified under water and I definitely needed to go in with second cleanse. Not that I wouldn't otherwise, because I always do, but I needed it here. This one had herbal spa like scent due to essential oils in it. The pump works fine and this one comes in glass packaging which is nice because it's recyclable, but a pain in the ass, if you are clumsy like I am often. However the glass is thick.
You get 100 ml of product for 22€. You can buy it on Hemptouch.
Skintegra Atomic Cleansing Oil*
This was again one of my favorite cleansing oils. It has that thinner consistency that is just runny enough. It does a great job of removing all kinds of makeup, even waterproof. I liked that there was no scent to this one, because there's less chance of irritating my skin. The pump is quite accurate and works fine. My review is very short when it comes to the products I like. It's just everything I want form cleansing oil.
You get 200 ml of product for 22€. You can get it on Skintegra.
Skinlick Kindwash Cica Facial Cleanser*
Skinlick is a sub brand of Skintegra, sort of like their teenage line. At this point I am sure they can't do anything wrong. All the products from Skintegra and Skinlick I have tried, I have liked. This is one of those gel like cleansers that has murky white formula. They bought me with cica without even needing to check other ingredients. But they are all very soothing and gentle. It's a gentle, yet effective cleanser perfect for morning cleanse or as a second cleanse. It's fragrance free and feels just nicely comforting in a way, not striping at all. It's one of those products I could easily recommend to most skin types.
You get 200 ml of product for 10.50€ on Skintegra.
CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser*
I feel like CeraVe has just become very popular in Slovenia. It's a very well known stable brand that has been quite popular in USA for years. We now have it in most drugstores as well as pharmacies. I have already tried some of their products before, but this cleanser was first. It had that gel like consistency that leather well. It contains salicylic acid, niacinamide and their famous ceramides - great for protecting skin barrier. This makes for a great morning or second cleanse for combination or oily skin. I used it mostly in summer and it was perfect. Kept my skin cleansed, free of sebum and kept it from further breaking out because of clogged pores from makeup, sweat and oil. I felt my skin was smoother and fresher.
You get 236 ml of product for around 14€ in most pharmacies, DM and Notino.
CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser*
I have had this one before already. It's the same gel type formula, but this one feels a bit hasher. It has the same salicylic acid in it as well as ceramides and hyaluronic acid. On my face this one felt more stripping and that's why I would say this one is more for oily skin in general or that one prone to acne that needs more potent ingredients to really cleanse the pores. It did a great job of maintainingg my skin surface as smooth as possible, but it felt a bit drying on my skin. So I used it every now and then not every day.
You get 236 ml of product for around 13€ in most pharmacies, DM and Notino.
Hada Labo Tokyo Gentle Hydrating Cleanser All-In-One
This one was again one of my favorite cleansers. Unlike others that are more gel like, this one comes out as a very thick cream, but it quickly spreads and emulsifies into a foamy goodness. I feel like it almost has some polishing effect to it, though I can't say why looking at ingredients list. Hada Labo Tokyo range is based on different types of hyaluronic acids, so it's a moisturizing and hydrating range. It feels very luxurious on the skin and leaves behind a cleansed, but soft skin. There is no fragrance to it which I loved as well. Because of a thick cream you need only pea size amount as it emulsifies so well. That is why it lasts for ages. I already have my second tube ready to use.
You get 150 ml of products for around 16€. You can buy Hada Labo in DM.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel*
La Roche-Posay is probably the most known French brand here and I had my reservations for it for a while. But then I started to try out some of their product in the past and it grew on me. I think their SPFs were the fist that I really liked. I wasn't thinking much of this gel type cleanser, but it turned out to be one of my favorites as well. Effaclar is their range for oily skin. That's why I was hesitant to try it, I thought it would be harsh, but no. This was a really nice fairly gentle gel cleanser that emulsified easily and left my skin nicely cleansed, but not stripped. This one did have a gentle scent to it, but nothing irritating.
You get 200 ml of product for around 15€ and you can get it in most pharmacies and DM.
