Review: Skincare - Toners, Serums, Moisturizers and SPFs

Here is another group post of latest skincare that I used up or am about to. This part is about toner, serums, moisturizers and SPFs.

COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

Liquid toner with BHA (betaine salicylate), willow bark water, niacinamide, panthenol and hyaluronic acid. It's a milder BHA toner, but it still does a good job of keeping my skin as clear as possible. I especially liked it in the summer, when my skin tends to get oilier and it can clog easily. I don't think there really is anything super effective at eliminating blackheads, but it does help from pores getting further clogged. It never irritated my skin and it leaves a very lightweight hydrating layer on the skin. I love Asian BHA toners, because they are gentle enough for my skin, yet effective. It also helps with smoothing skin's surface in general.

You get 100 ml of products for the price around 25€. You can get COSRX products online on Notino, Dragocena, Stylevana, Skintrick and many more.

Hada Labo Lift Super 3D Hydrator No-Wrinkles Lotion*

This was one of my favorite hydrating serums. It's more like a lotion texture, murky liquid and it has that very lightweight, yet nourishing and moisturizing layer that it leaves on the skin. It contains four types of hyaluronic acids. This is the perfect lightweight hydrating layer that can replace moisturizer for combination and oily skin, especially in the summer. In the winter I layer it under moisturizer. There is no added fragrance, so I can easily recommend it to those with sensitive skin as well.

Skintra Everything What Your Skin Will Love

This is another favorite hydrating and nourishing serum. It has that same liquid milky lotion like texture that is a bit yellow tinted. It contains prebiotics, niacinamide, azeloglycine and allantioin. This formula  is just so nicely nourishing and great at healing the skin. I used it mostly when I was faced with a lot of breakouts. It's not just moisturizing, it delivers the best ingredients to keep your skin's barrier as healthy as possible. This one feels more nourishing than Hada Labo and it leaves just slightly more sticky layer, which is great for layering or under makeup. This again can be used instead of moisturizer, especially in summer.

You get 100 ml of product for around 20€. I bought it on Dragocena

Hada Laba Lotion / Skintra Everything What Your Skin Will Love

Skintegra Lunar Serum*

A very thin almost liquid like consistency, but with lovely hydrating and moisturizing feel on the skin. It gives the skin some plumpness as well and contains amazing soothing ingredients. It has a lot of peptides, glycerin, panthenol, madecassoside, hyaluronic acid and some probiotics. Perfect for any skin type really. Oily skin will love it because of lightweight feel and it's a great layering serum for dry skin. I think there is way too little product in the packaging though. Because it's so liquid, you use it up very quick.

You get 15 ml of product for 17€. You can buy it on Skintegra

Skintegra Infrared*

Infrared is azelaic serum that I still recommend to most of my friends. I have seen it really reduce the redness with those that have rosacea. It's a very calming serum and I loved using it in colder months or whenever I had breakouts. It contains derivative of azelaic acid, ectoin, niacinamide, panthenol, centella asiatica and lactic acid which makes it gentle, soothing and nourishing serum. The texture is liquid and it's very lightweight on the skin, great for layering. Even oily skin would love it.

You get 30 ml of product for around 24€. You can buy it on Skintegra

La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum*

La Roche-Posay is always creating new innovative ingredients. Melasyl is supposedly a new revolutionary ingredient to prevent the development of skin pigmentation marks and intercept excess melanin before it marks the skin. It's basically perfect for treating sun spots, age spots and post-acne marks. It contains previously mentioned melasyl as well as niacinamide, retinol (retinyl palmitate) and hyaluronic acid. This felt like a quite strong formula on my skin. I had to use it interchangeably with some other products, because my skin would get a bit irritated if I used it every day. It's got that orange tin to it, but it's not completely liquid. Dimethicon/silicon in it makes is super smooth and spreadable plus it gives it that moisturizing layer that stays on the skin. I don't have a lot of problems with hyperpigmentation, but I do have some sallowness around my mouth and it did make it brighter. Plus the retinol in it keeps my skin very smooth and texture is just all around better. I think this is worth checking out, if you have some serious hyperpigmentations or acne marks.

You get 30 ml of product for around 50€. You can buy La Roche-Posay at most pharmacies.

Skintegra Infrared / La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum

Hadalabo Absolute Smoothing & Moisturizing Cream Day & Night*

Light gel cream type. Don't let that fool you. It gives your skin some real moisturizing layer, makes the skin look plump and it provides for a slight sticky base which is great under makeup. It looks suspiciously light, but it leaves that ultra moisturized feel on the skin. It contains glycerin, squalane and different types of hyaluronic acids like most of their range. No added fragrance. It's probably one of my favorite creams that I have tried in a while. I am a sucker for lightweight gel formulas that still give your skin that healthy sheen and some proper moisturizing layer which is the best primer for makeup.

You get 50 ml of product for around 20€. You can buy it in DM

Rephr Light Hydraton Cream V2.0

Rephr makes one of the best goat hair makeup brushes. They also do some skincare products every now and then and I bought this cream when it had promotional price. Figured, if they make brushes, they'll sure make a good moisturizer for under makeup and I was right. It's formulated in Korea so it makes it one of those very lightweight creams in texture. There is some silicon in it which gives it that amazing slip and makes it a smoothing moisturizer to use as a primer under makeup. It contains niacinamide, squalane, panthenol, centella asiatica, and different hyaluronic acids. This gives your skin that healthy sheen, but doesn't feel heavy. It's moisturizing and gentle. There is no added fragrance and no essential oils. It has quickly become my favorite, especially for under makeup. It comes in recyclable aluminum packaging with stainless still wringer included to dispense every bit of product out. I would say it's very reminiscent of a cult classic among makeup artists - Embryolisse moisturizer.

You get 89 ml of product for around 28€. But Rephr always has discounts and you can now get it for 9€. Well worth the price and amount.

Hemptouch Popolna polt azelaični serum*

Hemptouch is Slovenian skincare brand. Their products are mostly based on hemp extracts. They named it azelaic acid serum, but I would say this is a cream. Because it has creamy thicker texture. In it is 10% of azelaic acid, cbd, liquorice extract, hyaluronic acid and some essential oils that gives it herbal scent. Despite having the texture of a cream, it's fairly light. Once it soaks in, it leaves behind velvet matte finish. It wear good under makeup too. This is also vegan formula. I have noticed that it helps with keeping redness at bay. Azelaic acid is great for rosacea prone skin and even acne. I haven't had much experience with it's higher concentration, but I like this formula.

You get 30 ml of product for around 29€. You can buy it at Hemptouch

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M*

Effaclar is La Roche-Posay's range for oily skin with imperfection. It's a soothing moisturizing cream to reduce imperfections, even out skin tone and eliminate sebum production. It contains some brand new ingredient phylobioma, niacinamide, procerad (ceramide), zinc, hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid. I use this a spot treatment for whenever I have breakouts and it helps with inflammation. Plus it's a very lightweight almost gel type of cream that won't further clog pores and it dries to a matte finish. It makes it great moisturizer for oily skin and I loved it in the summer. There is sort of a fresh air refreshener type of scent to it.

You get 40 ml of product and it costs around 22€. You can buy it in most pharmacies.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+*

Cicaplast Baume is a legend among La Roche-Posay products. This is that multipurpose do-it-all cream for any trouble you may ran into. It's soothing and repairing balm for damaged and irritated skin. It contains prebiotics, vitamin B5, madecassoside (centella asiatica), zing and manganese. It's a thicker cream with protective nourishing layer. You can use it on every part of your body. I like it for cuts, blemishes and as a hand cream. It soaks in quick and doesn't feel greasy. Smaller tube is perfect for carrying around in the bag.

You get 40 ml of product for 13€. It's available in most pharmacies.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Age Correct SPF 50*

It's a very thick cream that will give your skin some of that proper glow. My combination skin usually doesn't like this kind of heavy SPFs, but when I used it, my skin was quite dehydrated and at time this felt so nice on my skin. Very moisturizing with glowy layer that was good for under makeup as well. I would advise against it, if you have oily skin or loathe thicker SPFs. However, I can see mature skin loving this kind of formula. It contains hyaluronic acid, Phe-resorcinol (antioxidant) and nicinamide. It's a moisturizing age correcting SPF with protection of 50.

You get 50 ml of product for around 29€. Available in most pharmacies.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400*

La Roche-Posay apparently did one of the best UV protection SPF with this one. Mexoryl 400 is new UV filter that protects against even the most pesky UV rays. It's a very light, liquid formula slightly yellow colored that spills all over your hands. I usually apply it straight from the tube on actual skin. It's one of the lightest formulas among European SPFs. I love using LRP SPFs with me on se holidays, because I can trust their protection. This one still broke me out after a week of sun, swear and salty water, but that usually happens with any SPF anyway. Even with the double cleansing. As far as the protection goes, it's the best. I can always trust it to not get burned. Plus the finish is natural, so not greasy or shiny.

You get 50 ml of product and it costs around 23€. Available in most pharmacies.

Scinic Super Mild Sun essence SPF50+ PA++++

Another great Asian SPF with that lightweight formula. It's got slight yellow tint to it. Formula is lightweight and spreads with ease, but gives your skin a lot of moisturizing abilities. It's not gel like, but I would still say light, just nicely moisturizing. Like a very good moisturizer. For oily skin it might feel a bit much, but my combination skin loved it. And there is no fragrance added. I chucked this one in the basket on a whim and it turned out to be again one of those nice SPFs.

You get 50 ml product for around 14€. I got in on Stylevana (now only 9€).
