I've been seeing combination of purple eye makeup with red lips a lot. So I thought of doing something similar as Christmas makeup this year. Instead of using bright purples, I used mauve shades and did a bright pastel lavender in the inner corner. No Christmas makeup is complete without the signature red lip and I went for metallic option which is so on trend this year.

Christmas Rudolph Nails
22 Dec 2018
I realized I haven't posted any reindeer Christmas nail design on my blog, but I'm pretty sure I did it already on my nails. I had some spare time and decided it was time to do it now. The holidays are here. I call it Rudolf inspired because of the red nose. Red, gold and green is just a classic and my favorite Christmas combination.
Christmas Stars Nails
18 Dec 2017
I'm not doing a lot of nail designs lately, because my hands are just so dry, but I got an idea for cute Christmas inspired mani with yellow stars and red tips, so I decided to document and post it here. It's a simple almost that negative space manicure with must have red color and some yellow stars to pop out. I think it looks cute and a slight upgrade from basic red nails with glitters.
I started doing this manicure by leaving my base clean and just dabbing shimmery red nail polish on the tips of my nails using a sponge. For that I went over my natural tip line, because this manicure doesn't have any base color and I wanted to extend the design a bit.
I used transparent based nail polish with small golden glitter to give some sparkle to that clean base. Just little something something.
I used small striping brush to draw on stars with a pale yellow nail polish. This might be tricky for some, so you can definitely just stamp stars on your nails, if you have any stamping plate with stars. Optionally, you can also just use stars stickers. I did it freehand and every star doesn't look perfect, but I think imperfection makes it look nicer. Then I used double sided dotting tool and dotted on a few smaller and bigger dots. But I decided that I won't go up to the base of the nail with those dots, not to overpower it.
I used the same red nail polish again and intensified tips by applying another coat of nail polish with that same sponge technique. It gave me more of an ombre effect and almost covered my natural tips.
I finished by applying a fast drying shiny top coat.
I also did my other non dominant hand, although it was a struggle. Less stars on my right hand and concentrating more on the dots, which are a lot easier to do, was a good solution. If you struggle with the other hand, just do dots or maybe ask someone else to do it.
I was inspired by a lot of kawaii nail manicures that I find on Pinterest. Their nail designs usually look super cute and more minimalistic. I chose red color, because it symbolizes Christmas for me and I did yellow stars, because gold would look too plain and unnoticeable on my transparent base. Would you wear something like this or is it too cutesy for you?

Christmas Sparkle Nails
24 Dec 2016
This year's Christmas nails are again my favorite Christmas color combination. It's sparkly red and gold. It represents Christmas lights that sparkle on the tree, but on a red base. This time of year it's all about sparkles and I think it looks minimal, but still kind of cute.
Then I took a thin brush and drew on kind of sparkles, which are essentially snowflake shapes with one longer line. After that I used dotting tool and alternated between small and big dots for some added sparkle.
For this I used shimmery gold nail polish, Avon Magic Effects Molten Metal in Copper.
I finished with a fast drying and super shiny top coat, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. It almost looks like a wrapping paper design. I kind of like it. It's nothing too bold, but it definitely adds the needed sparkle.
Green And Red Christmas Makeup
23 Dec 2015
Hey Beauties!
I usually use gold eyeshadow and red lipstick, because it's what represents Christmas to me. It's also very neutral and classic. This time I also added green on the eyes for an all out makeup look. You can also pair it with neutral lips to make it less colorful, if that's not your thing, but I kind of like it.
I started with eye shadow primer and skin like shade all over the lid. Then I added a bit of taupe brown in the crease and darker forest green in the outer corner of my eye. I added a true dark green shade all over the lid.
I also used the forest green around the lower lash line and then added a true green all over and more toward inner corner. In the center of the lid I used a more yellow toned brown just to give it some more dimension.
In the inner corner of the eye I used metallic silver based green shade. Next was my usual winged liner and then I added glittery gold eye liner all over the mobile part of my lid. This will make it sparkle every time your look down. I finished with mascara and skipped false lashes, because I didn't want to hide all the gorgeous glittery goodness.
On the rest of my face I used foundation with high coverage and concealed any imperfections. I also added some powder. For my definition I used contour kit and contoured my outer edges of the face. I used a very shimmery champagne gold highlighter, because when, if not on Christmas?! I also used my favorite peach shimmery blush to give me some extra glow.
On my lips I used a bright red lipstick with a darker lip liner to give it more of a 3D look. I also tried this look with a tad bit more neutral shade, which is like a dirty mauve pink brown matte lipstick, just to give you another option.
That's my sparkly green and red Christmas makeup look. Fairly simple, but also pretty colorful. What do you think about this? Too much color or just enough?

Classic Red And Gold Christmas Manicure
19 Dec 2015
Hey Beauties!
When it comes to Christmas my color scheme includes gold and red. It's a classic color combination in my opinion. All my Christmas tree ornament are also gold and red. That's why I decided to do a classic red and gold Christmas nails with lots of glitter.
When it comes to Christmas my color scheme includes gold and red. It's a classic color combination in my opinion. All my Christmas tree ornament are also gold and red. That's why I decided to do a classic red and gold Christmas nails with lots of glitter.
Before I start any manicure, I always apply base coat to my nails. Then I painted all my nails, except ring finger, with matte red nail polish.
I used three different sized gold glittery nail polishes. I applied them all with a bit of sponge. First layer was the finest tinniest gold glitter or rather shimmer. Then I added a bit bigger glittery spots and at the end I used irregular the biggest gold glittery parts. I also applied first layer of glitter the highest and slowly went down. The last glittery polish is concentrated only at the tips of my nails to give you that glitter ombre effect.
On my ring finger I applied metallic gold nail polish and I added those big gold particles of glitter to make it super sparkly.
I did apply top coat, but only to the part where I applied glitter, because I wanted to leave my red nail polish still looking matte at the top.
The nail polishes I used:
- Avon Nail Experts 5 in 1 Nail Treatment
- Golden Rose Matte Nail Lacquer - 16
- Essence LE Metal Glam Nail Polish - 04 Gold Digger
- Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper - 06 You're A Gold Mine
- Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer - 41 Two Million Dollar Baby
- Essence LE Merry Berry Top Coat - 01 My Golden Pumps
- Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
Simple, but effective, as I like to call this manicure. It will get you noticed, but you'll look apart next to your Christmas tree. What is your favorite Christmas combination for nails?
Christmas in a glass
19 Dec 2014
Hey Beauties!
Christmas is just around the corner and I still haven't put up my Christmas tree. But I did make a little Christmas decoration in a big glass. I wanted to share with you or anyone who doesn't have a lot of space and still wants to have some nice Christmas spirit in the room. This would be perfect for student homes ;). It's super easy and looks really nice.
What you'll need for this is some sort of glass and salt to represent the base inspired by snow. I used fine sea salt, which worked great, because it still had some texture to it. Regular kitchen salt may be too fine to look like a real snow. You'll also need candle. I used a tea candle, but depending on how big your glass is, you can use bigger candles. Then, you'll just need some Christmas ornaments, greens or any other decorations. What ever reminds you of Christmas.
I used a pretty big glass, which I think is supposed to be used for decorations or for flowers. I filled it almost to the top. Then I added tea light on one side. I used some green plants (from my garden bushes) and just stuck them into one side of the glass. I also added gold and red Christmas tree ornaments. I decided to add some pine cones, stars and sugar cane. I just used all the tings that I already had at home. So this can cost you nothing, or very little if you decided to buy those things. Very cheap project.
And that is how it looks like in the end. Very easy, stick-all-christmas-thing-in-one-glass kind of decoration. I really like how it looks like you put a lot of effort in it, when in fact you can make this in 5 minutes. Maybe, this can also be last minute Christmas gift ;).
Do you make new Christmas decorations every year?

Jessica Rabbit's Christmas Party Makeup
10 Dec 2014
Hey Beauties!
I got new fake lashes and needed to try them with a full face of makeup. The lashes really demanded that kind of makeup. I didn't even know how to name this look, because it's definitely not really wearable with the lashes and all. It reminded me of Jessica Rabbit, because I've been really enjoying my new hair color, so don't judge my title. :)
I used warm matte brown shade in the crease and a bit up. Then I added taupe matte shade in the crease. To further darken the outer corner, I used black eye shadow and put it in the crease and outer v.
I mixed copper and peach shimmer shades and put it on the center of the lid. Then I used my liquid eye shadow in gold and put it all over the center of the lid and a bit up in the inner corner. I put matte white shade in the inner corner of the eye and then went over with that same liquid gold shade.
I used warm matte brown shade all over the lower lash line. This time, I decided to just add subtle line around the lower lash line. The wing wouldn't sit nice with those bambi huge fake lashes. I added mascara and then false eyelashes.
