Skintra Everything What Your Skin Will Love
After I came home from vacation with a ton of blemishes I started to form a new routine. I try to include light products that have hydrating and healing ingredients into my routine. This serum from Skintra is one of those that just has a bit of everything - prebiotics, niacinamide, squalane, allantoin, azelaic acid and many more. All very soothing, nourishing ingredients perfect to heal my blemishes with. And it helped. My skin is in better condition in just one week. Along some other products as well. This is like a milky texture and I can definitely use it as a moisturizer. It's enough for my skin in the summer.
La-Roche Posay Anthelios UVmune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50+ and Anthelios Age Correct SPF50
When it comes to SPF that I wear on vacation by the sea, I love to use LRP. LRP is just one of those brand that I can trust with its protection. Their fluid has been with me on the sea several times and it has since been reformulated to even better protection filters. It's a yellow liquid texture that is very easy to apply and it dries down to a comfortable matte finish. LRP is always leading in the sun game and I can trust that with religious reapplication I won't get burned or add new pigmentation marks. That said, combination of SPF, sweat and sea salt usually breaks me out. It's just the usual for me. I use double cleansing routine and I use BHA acids, but it always happens. I deal with it after I get home, but I always prioritize SPF on my face.
Age Correct is a new version that I have tried this year. It's more of thicker cream, but for some reason I like it even on my usually quite oily skin. When my skin gets a bit dehydrated, it loves a bit of a proper cream. But I use only this as skincare and skip everything else under makeup. It leaves a bit of sheen on the skin, but doesn't feel greasy.
Skinlick Clean365 Concentrated Lotion
I usually avoid fragrance skin care for the body, because I have atopic skin, even though it's much less irritable on my body and it tends to get worse in the winter. But this is one of those products that I can use now in the summer, because it just has such nice hydrating and soothing ingredients - shea butter, panthenol, squalane, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. It's a light almost gel type lotion that spreads easily and soaks into the skin, but leaves behind a nice powdery scent that is just gentle enough to smell it if you are close. Very noninvasive soothing scent in my opinion and a perfect lotion to apply after a whole day on the sun to give you some moisture back and smell nice in the evening while you are going out.
Catrice Space Glam Chrome Eyeshadow - 010 Moonlight Glow
I think we often overlook the really good affordable drugstore products and I feel this is one of those. Catrice made one of the best duo chrome eyeshadows and they are so affordable. It's almost cream like texture with a lot of pigmentation, but the base is somewhat translucent with this one. You can pat it on lightly to just get a few glimpses of shimmery particles or you can apply it full one with a proper chrome look. It's a light yellow color that shift almost green. I can't take a good photograph that would do them justice, but these are great. They are not very long lasting with the almost creamy texture, so you need a good eye primer. I also have a green shade and a purple. These are the only three shades available, but I hope they will expend the range.
Maybelline Build-a-Brow Brow Pen - Ashy Brown
This is my favorite brow pen currently. I had it already in the shade Black Brown, but I noticed my brows were looking a bit crazy - too dark for my hair color which has gotten a bit lighter. So I opted for Ashy Brown which is just that - a cooler mid tone brown that matches my natural brow color really well. The tip is super thin, it doesn't leak and it doesn't leave a shiny finish like the NYX Lift & Snatch Brow Pen does. On the other side is transparent brow mascara which is really nice. I use it often to just brush my hair up. It gives a descent hold and doesn't get crunchy looking.
L.O.V. x Laetitia Lemak Dream Glaze Sculpting Duo
Laetitia Lemak is a very talented makeup artist who had some limited edition collections with on of the best drugstore brands - L.O.V. which sadly doesn't exist anymore. The sculpting duo was part of Dream Glaze collection. It has one warmer bronzer shade and one cooler contour shade. Boy did I use the heck out of the contour shade on my clients. It's probably one of the best contour shades and I love that it has a satin sheen which makes it so easy to blend and look natural. Since I got a bit of tan on my body I can now use warmer bronzer shades to match my body. So I am trying to use this one up and the warmer shade matches my body nicely now.
H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher - Pink Peach
Another affordable product that is in my opinion underrated. I have had H&M Pure Radiance blushers for years, but this one of the shades I added recently as they were discontinuing these. It's that vibrant warm pink shade that will give you that rosy flushed almost a bit burnt cheeks that matches perfectly with summer bronzed look. I love that these blushes have the slightest satin sheen to them and that they are buildable, so you don't look crazy, if you dip the brush in a bit too much.
Alverde Lipliner - 220 Soft Nude
Another surprising find from the drugstore is this lip liner from Alverde, which I think is a brand from DM. I am always on a hunt for good light cool toned browns and this is one of those that can just pass as a contour shade on my lips. It's a tad more pink toned than I usually like, but still works. I only don't like that teh creamy formula has a satin sheen to it. For me a lip liner has to be matte, especially if you want to contour with it. But if you apply a shiny lipstick on top, it doesn't really matter that much. I will use it to define the lip line and just apply lip gloss on top and call it a day.
Laifen Swift Hair Dryer
I finally invested in a better hair dryer. I've seen Laifen everywhere and then the ads for it just started popping up on my phone until I found they had a good deal and caved. I had a very old hair dryer before, a regular one. This one is definitely a step up. First of all, stating the obvious, but it's a lot smaller and lighter. It's very powerful and it blows the air at an incredible force. You can choose between cool, warm and hot setting and you have two speed settings. For me that's more than enough. I also got a standard nozzle with it which is magnetic and that's all I need for my fine hair. Because my hair is fine, I always dry it fast, so I can't say much on that rather than it's powerful and does the job quickly. The main difference I noticed is that my hair looks much smoother and way less frizzy than it did with the old hair dryer. Now that may be a good or bad thing if you have fine hair and actually like a bit of volume. By no means it makes it flat, just smooth and contained. They have different models to choose from which have different nozzle attachments and colors with some premium finishes. But I got the Swift version in white with silver details.
