Cute Bunny Makeup

Halloween is supposedly associated with disgusting, bloody and scary costumes, but since we in Slovenia don't really celebrate Halloween, why not create something more cute. Maybe I'll do something more Halloween appropriate too, if I have time, but for now here's a cute looking bunny that you can use for any costume party. I gathered some ideas from the internet and threw them together in my own way. Who doesn't like bunnies, right?!

I started eye makeup by using three different shades to slowly build up my crease. Lighter pink on the upper parts and darker pinks concentrated more in the actual crease. Then I used concealer and cut the lid all the way out to the winged liner part. I applied shimmery pink on the lid and went over with shimmery nude that contains pink shimmer to add some more shine to it. I used black liquid liner and created slightly thicker winged out liner.

I used white face paint and created another water line. This opens up your actual eye and gives you that puppy, this time bunny, eyes. I also used black liner and drew in lower lashes. I later realized it would look prettier, if I would just apply some individual lashes instead. It looks more cartoon-ish drawn on. I also applied white pencil on my water line.

This look definitely called for some false lashes, so I tried to find more dramatic ones, but my false lash collection is poor. So I cut up another pair of lashes and added some additional outer corners on top of full strip of lashes. I wanted my eyes to look fluttery, but a bit more winged out. In the inner corner I applied a bit of matte white eyeshadow, but I didn't want anything shimmery.

I also drew on a few fluffy looking fur on my inner part of brows. For that I used white face paint and small brush.

I also used white paint to create that white rabbit nose and lip area. I used white paint as base for the nose and went over with pink eyeshadows. Lip area is mostly white face paint, a bit of brown eyeshadow for that line and black liner for whisker pores. I used pink lip liner and only colored out upper lip. The bottom I left white.

On the rest of my face I applied the usual - foundation and concealer. I also used a bit of contour shade to bring out the cheeks. I applied fake freckles with brown liquid liner. The cheeks were colored in that cute pink blush shade all over the nose bridge. I also highlighter with slightly more pink toned highlighter.

All this look needs at the end are those bunny ears. I have black ones that I've had for a while. They aren't the prettiest. You can also just use hair band and create your own our of paper or even wires and some textiles. I curled my hair, because it looked better with the bunny ears and it also makes the whole look more romantic.

This was so much fun drawing and blending. It's so nice to just paint and not have to think about everything being perfect and lined up. I also think, you don't really need much material to recreate it. White face paint is the only thing that might be missing in your makeup, but that's available in most drugstores around Halloween. You can also use white liquid liner, if you have one.

    1. Hvala :) <3 Imam načeloma raje te cute zadeve kot pa kaj bolj krvavega. To mi je tudi lažje za ustvarit, ker ne rabim nekega posebnega materiala :).
