When a was on a day trip in Varaždin (Croatia), I found this makeup brand called Noelle in their Bipa. As far as I could found on the internet, this must be Croatian brand, but correct me, if I'm wrong. Their makeup products are available in Bipa stores. Brushes were really affordable and I'm a sucker for eye brushes, so I got the blending one. I also bought their makeup brush case which is really well made and great to travel with. Today's review will be of the new Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quads. Avon came out with Smokey versions. You can get them in three new color combinations - blue, brown and grey. There's something for every smokey eye lover. I also wanted to show you my three ways of applying smokey eyes. One classic, the ombre and what I call halo effect.

In each quad is four eye shadow combinations. The beauty of these is that all the shades work together well and they offer range of shades for every part of the eye. Shades are also very wearable and not too pigmented. It means you can't really go overboard with them.

Texture of these is on the dry side. In general they all have good pigmentation. There can be some fallout, especially with matte shades and those with glitter chunks. I find that Avon does good matte shades, because most of the drugstore matte shades have poor pigmentation. The shadows last on my eyes for the whole day. I always apply eye shadow primer underneath. These work even better paired with Avon Ideal Flawless Eyeshadow Primer. At the end of the day they do fade a bit and they may start creasing, depending on how oily lids you have. 

Smokey Grey

In this palette you get 3 shimmery shades and one matte. It's a cool toned grey palette. This kind of shades look especially pretty on blue eyes. I always think that grey smokey eye makes blue eyes pop and look really sexy. 

Shade 1 - shimmery white with slight silver tone. It's cool toned and on the sheer side, so it's not really pigmented.

Shade 2 - shimmery light silver. It's also cool toned and can be build up to metallic finish. Pigmentation is good.

Shade 3 - shimmery medium grey. It's cool toned and has good pigmentation. This one can also look almost metallic.

Shade 4 - matte medium grey with a bit of lavender undertone. It's not completely grey, but it has a hint of purple in it. It's essentially cool toned, but on me it looks warm toned. It has good pigmentation. 

Halo Effect

I call this application halo effect, because it looks like a bright light is coming through the center. For this I used shade 1 under the brow bone, to open up the eye and bounce the light off of the highest point. It gives a really subtle shimmer. I also used it in the inner eye to open it up and make it look awake. Then I used shade 4 in the crease. In the crease I love to use matte eyeshadows, because it gives the eye more depth. If the shadow would be shimmery, it wouldn't create the shade and depth. Then I used shade 3 in the outer third of the eye and the inner third. This will create darkness around the edges of eye. To create that halo in the middle, I used shade 2 and applied it with a brush on the very center of the lid. This lighter shimmery shade highlights this part and makes it look like it's glowing. It creates a really subtle and romantic feel to usually harsh smokey eye.

Smokey Blue

In this palette you get a variety of glitter sheer shade and three shimmery shades. Blue smokey eye will look especially good on very dark, almost black, brown eyes. It complements cool tones of the eye and gives a colorful punch to the face. This combination might be for the brave ones, because it's the most colorful of these all.

Shade 1 - shimmery white with small blue glitter. The glitter is sparse. It creates a cool toned feel. I love this shade, because sparse blue glitter can be applied on top of any shade and it makes the looks a bit more interesting. It's on the sheer side, so it's not well pigmented.

Shade 2 - shimmery light sky blue. It's cool toned and has good pigmentation. It almost looks pearly and has a bit of silver sheen.

Shade 3 - shimmery medium blue. It's cool toned and has good pigmentation. It also has a lovely blue sheen. It's one of the prettiest blue eye shadow shades, because it looks vibrant, but is still darker.

Shade 4 - shimmery dark navy blue. It's cool toned, has blue sheen to it and has good pigmentation. 

Classic Smokey Eye

The classic smokey eye, usually looks like something that goes from the darkest shade from the lash line and transitions into lighter shades going further away from the lash line. I started by applying outer shades first and went close to the lash line, but you can do it the other way around too. I used shade 2 in the crease. Then I added shade 3 on the lid. I darkened around the lash line with shade 4. To add some dimension to this look, I applied shade 1 on top of other shades on the lid. My camera doesn't do justice to this shade. In real life it gives such a pretty sparkle effect. It's nothing too much, but the glitter just catches the light and bounces it off.

Smokey Brown

This one is for warm toned lovers. It's essentially a neutral combination of one matte and three shimmery brown shades. One also has chunks of glitter for added dimension. This will look good with warm brown eyes, hazel and green eyes.

Shade 1 - matte warm beige. It's one of those essential bone colored shades for all over the lid as a base. It has good pigmentation.

Shade 2 - shimmery light tan shade (golden brown). It's warm toned and can look amazing all over the lid as a your lids but better shade. It has lovely golden sheen and has good pigmentation.

Shade 3 - shimmery chocolate brown with gold sheen. It has good pigmentation.

Shade 4 - shimmery dark chocolate brown with sparse copper glitter. This one has darker and cooler base as shade 3 and it also has a lot of sparse coppery glitters. I love the glitter in it, but wish the base would be just a bit warmer for my personal taste. It has good pigmentation. 

Gradient

This is the way that I usually apply my eye shadows. I start by applying the lightest shade in the inner corner and going darker towards the outer corner. It elongates the eyes and wideness it. I applied shade 1 all over the lid as a matte base to set primer. Then I used shade 2 in the inner corner and a bit on the lid as well. I used shade 3 in the center of the lid. Outer corners I darkened with shade 4 and I also applied this shade a bit in the outer V. This way you get that ombre effect from the lightest to the darkest. 

Današnja ocena je o novih Avon True Colour četvercih senčil za veke. Avon je izdal nove smokey različice. Dobite jih lahko v treh novih barvnih kombinacijah in sicer v modri, rjavi in sivi. Nekaj za vsakega ljubitelja zadimljenega videza. Želela sem vam pokazati tudi tri moje načine nanašanja senčil za zadimljen videz. En je bolj klasičen, drugi je ombre in tretji je sijoč efekt.

Njihovi četvorci imajo plastično sijočo črno embalažo. Je zelo preprosta in klasična. Odpira se s pritiskom na gumb in je zato precej varna za prenašanje. V paleti dobite tudi obojestranski aplikator iz gobice, ki pa ga jaz ne uporabljam. V vsaki paleti je 5 gramov izdelka in redna cena je 10.60€. Trenutno jih lahko dobite za 6.90€ tukaj.

V vsakem četvercu najdete kombinacijo štirih senčil. Dobra stran teh palet je, da se vsi odtenki v paleti odlično kombinirajo. Ena paleta ponuja nabor odtenkov za vsak del očesa. Odtenki so precej nosljivi in ne preveč pigmentirani. To pomeni, da nikakor ne morete pretiravati z nanosom. 

Tekstura senčil je bolj suha. Na splošno so vsi dobro pigmentirani. Nekateri odtenki se lahko prašijo. Še posebej mat in tisti z večjimi bleščicami, zato je dobro, da čopič pred nanosom na veko otresete odvečnega senčila. Avon ima na sploh dobre mat odtenke. Večina drogerijskih je zelo slabo pigmentiranih. Odtenki na mojih vekah ostanejo ves dan. Sama vedno uporabim podlago za veke predem nanesem senčila. Še posebej dobro delujejo senčila v kombinaciji z Avon Ideal Flawless podlago za veke. Ob koncu dneva opazim, da so senčila malo zbledela in včasih se lahko začnejo nabirati v gubici. Odvisno od tega kako zelo mastne veke imate. 

Smokey Grey

V tej paleti dobite 3 bleščičaste odtenke in enega mat. Je hladno obarvana paleta. Ti odtenki bodo izgledali še posebej lepo na modrih očeh. Meni se vedno zdi, da siv zadimljen videz naredi modre oči še bolj modre in seksi.

Odtenek 1 - bleščičasto bel odtenek s sivim podtonom. Je hladen in bolj prosojen, zato je slabo pigmentiran. 

Odtenek 2 - bleščičasto svetlo siv odtenek. Tudi ta je hladno obarvan in lahko postane skoraj kovinski. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Odtenek 3 - bleščičasto srednje siv odtenek. Je hladno obarvan in je dobro pigmentiran. Tudi ta lahko izgleda skoraj kovinsko. 

Odtenek 4 - mat srednje siv odtenek s sivkastim podtonom. Ni popolnoma siv, ampak ima čisto malo vijoličnega pridiha. V osnovi je hladen, ampak na moji polti deluje toplo. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Sijoč efekt

Jaz pravim temu nanosu sijoč efekt, ker izgleda kot da svetloba sije iz sredine veke. Za ta videz sem uporabila odtenek 1 pod obrvjo. S tem sem odprla oko in naredila, da se bo svetloba odbijala od najvišjega dela kosti pod obrvjo. Ta odtenek doda zelo nežen sijaj. Uporabila sem ga tudi v notranjih kotičkih očesa in s tem še dodatno odprla oko. V gubi veke sem uporabila odtenek 4. Mat odtenki dodajo očesu globino. Če bi bilo tukaj senčilo bleščičasto, bi ustvarilo višji predel namesto globino. Potem sem uporabila odtenek 3 na zunanji in notranji tretjini veke. Tako sem ustvarila temen predel okrog robov veke. Da bi ustvarila sijoč efekt, sem na sredino veke nanesla odtenek 2. Ta sijoča svetel odtenek osvetli sredinski del in ustvari sijaj. Efekt je precej bolj romantičen od tipičnega zadimljenega videza.

Smokey Blue

Ta paleta vsebuje tri bleščičaste odtenke in enega z večjimi bleščicami. Moder zadimljen videz bo izgledal čudovito s temnimi, skoraj črnimi, rjavimi očmi. Odlično bo poudaril hladne tone v temnih očeh in dodal nekaj barvitosti. Ta kombinacije je za bolj pogumbe, saj je najbolj barvita od vseh treh.

Odtenek 1 - bleščičasto bel odtenek z majhnimi modrimi bleščicami. Ustvari hladen videz. Ta odtenek mi je všeč zaradi modrih bleščic, ki so bolj na redko razporejene v senčilu. Lahko se ga nanese preko katerega koli drugega senčila in ustvari bleščičast videz. Odtenek je bolj prosojen in ni dobro pigmentiran.

Odtenek 2 - bleščičasto nebesno moder odtenek. Ima hladen podton in je dobro pigmentiran. Izgleda skoraj bisernato in ima rahel srebrn sijaj.

Odtenek 3 - bleščičasto srednje moder odtenek. Tudi ta ima hladen podton in je dobro pigmentiran. Ima čudovit moder sijaj. Meni se zdi en najlepših modrih odtenkov, ker je precej živ, a vseeno še dovolj temen in nevsiljiv.

Odtenek 4 - bleščičasto temno moder odtenek. Ima hladen podton, moder sijaj in je dobro pigmentiran.

Klasičen zadimljen videz

Klasičen zadimljen videz po navadi izgleda tako, da nanašate temne odtenke okrog trepalnic in prehajate na svetlejše, ko greste stran od trepalnic. Jaz sem začela najprej nanašati svetlejše zunanje odtenke, vendar lahko začnete tudi v obratni smeri. Odtenek 2 sem nanesla v gubo veke. Nato sem dodala odtenke 3 na sredino veke. Območje okrog trepalnic sem potemnila z odtenkom 4. Ta odtenek sem nanesla tudi na zunanji V predel. Tako sem dobila še malo več dimenzije na mojih majhnih očeh. Odtenek 1 sem nanesla preko drugih senčil na sredini veke. Moj fotoaparat žal ne ujame čudovitih modrih bleščič, ki se tako lepo ujamejo v svetlobo. Dajo čudovit sijaj in vseeno ne izgledajo preveč sijoče. 

Smokey Brown

Ta paleta je za ljubitelje toplih odtenkov. V osnovi gre za kombinacijo nevtralnih rjavih odtenkov. En je mat in trije so bleščičasti. En izmed teh ima tudi večje bleščice. Ta kombinacija odtenkov bo izgledala dobro na rjavih očeh, rjavo zelenih in zelenih. 

Odtenek 1 - mat topel bež odtenek. Nujen bež odtenek, ki se nanaša kar preko celotne veke kot podlaga. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Odtenek 2 - bleščičasto svetlo zlato rjav odtenek. Ima topel podton in izgleda čudovito sam preko celotne veke. Je tak odtenek, ki naravni veki doda malo več barve in sijaja. Ima lep zlat sijaj in je dobro pigmentiran.

Odtenek 3 - bleščičasto čokoladno rjav odtenek z zlatim sijajem. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Odtenek 4 - bleščičasto temno čokoladno rjav odtenek z večjimi bakrenimi bleščicami, ki so bolj redke v senčilu. Ta je temnejši kot odtenek 3 in ima večje bakrene bleščice. Te so mi še posebej všeč. Ampak sama bi si želela kot podlago imeti bolj topel odtenek. Je dobro pigmentiran. 

Gradient

Ta način je moj najbolj pogosto uporabljen način za nanašanje senčil. Začnem z nanašanjem najsvetlejšega odtenka v notranjem kotičku očesa in prehajam na temnejše odtenke, ko se približujem zunanjemu kotičku očesa. S tem podaljšam videz ok in jih razširim. Odtenek 1 sem nanesla po celotni veki kot mat podlago za vsa druga senčila. Nato sem uporabila odtenek 2 v notranjem kotičku očesa in malo na veki. Na sredino veke sem nanesla odtenek 3. Zunanje kotičke in zunanji del veke sem potemnila z odtenkom 4. S tem sem dobila ombre efekt od najsvetlejšega odtenka do najtemnejšega.

I am a lover of everything beauty related, but one of my favorite beauty products are makeup brushes. You could say I am a makeup brush hoarder, because I have probably too big of a collection for someone that doesn't even work as a makeup artist. I think makeup brushes make all the difference. You can have low quality makeup products, but if you have good brushes, you can still make it work. The other way around, I don't think so. In this post I've collected my favorite makeup brushes for each part of the face. I'll also tell you for what part I use each brush. By no means, you need that much brushes to create a good makeup look, it's just what I've accumulated over the years. 

Foundation and Concealer

I mostly use Ebelin Makeup Sponge for my foundation routine, but sometimes I also use a brush. For that I love flat dense brushes. These really buff foundation into the skin and make it look like it's part of your skin. I also like these brushes, because they can help you thin out your foundation, if you use small amount of it and really work it into the skin.

My favorite foundation brush is Essence LE Bloom Me Up! Blush Brush. I don't understand why it's called blush brush, because it looks perfect for foundation. I like that it has soft and fairly dense bristles and it does a nice job of blending out foundation.

I also have different sizes of powder brushes. Sometimes I go all in with powder and sometimes I just want to place it on my oilier parts. Recently I've also started using different powder underneath my eyes, so I use smaller brush for that area.

Contour 

Contouring is not that popular anymore and I tend to use it less too. But I do like it for certain looks, especially for colder months to add some definition. Currently I have two favorite brushes for that.

Zoeva 234 Luxe Smoky Shade is my favorite lid size flat brush. It fits my lid perfectly. You just pick up some shade and drag it from the inner corner to the outside and you're done. I already have two of these, because I love them so much.

Ebay Lid Brush is similar to previous one, but it's smaller and rounded. This is again good for applying shades on the lid. Because it's smaller you can do a bit more precise application.

Flat brush, which has no name and I have no idea where's from, is just another flat shader brush. I love these for everything - powder, cream eye shadows or glitters.

 Lips

Ebelin Lip Brush is my favorite lip brush. I like my lip brushes to be squared and straight cut off. This gives a precise application around the edges of the lips. It's hard to create really straight lines with rounded brushes. I also don't like too wide or too narrow brushes and this one is just perfect. Bristles are soft and dense enough. 

I have a lot of different brands for face brushes. E.l.f. Blush Brush is an absolute must have. I don't like their eye brushes, because they're not soft enough for my liking. Ecotools does nothing wrong when it comes to face brushes. They have one of the softest bristles and are in general very well made. Real Techniques is also a very popular brand, but from what I've tried I only like Blush Brush and Setting Brush. Avon is another brand that has a very small range of makeup brushes, but the ones I've tried are great. Extremely soft bristles and well made. 

Ebay is known for having a lot of famous rush brands cheaper alternatives. I'd say go with those sellers that someone has already recommended. You may find 8 sellers that sell metallic brushes, but not all of them are going to be the same quality.
