Review: Look by Bipa Delicate Compact Bronzer - 030 sunny beach

I have this bronzer for over a year already. They've even changed the packaging since, but I had to post about it on the blog, because it's one of those rare bronzers that is very affordable and has that lovely grey tone to it. It's as the name suggests a bronzer and contour all in one. And I love that you can use one product to do the job of two.

Packaging

It's plastic packaging that has so far held up good, even though it is a cheaper one. They've since changed their packaging a bit. It has like a rose gold rim around the edge and it's now only called bronzer, while before it said Bronzer & Contour Powder on the packaging.

In it is 9 grams of product and it costs 3.99€.

Look by Bipa is house brand of Austrina drugstore called Bipa. So products are available only there.

Formula

For such an affordable product this has really nice formula. It's super finely milled, smooth to the touch and it has the slightest possible sheen so that it makes it not completely matte. It reminds me a lot of Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer which is one of my favorite bronzers, but that one I feel has a bit more obvious sheen than this one. This one has no shimmer, just an actual sheen.

Pigmentation is good, but you can apply it lightly or build it up. The more you apply the darker it starts to look. I like that it's buildable. You want that from a bronzer, especially if you tend to be heavy handed.

Colors

It comes in only two shades, like it is with most drugstore products unfortunately. 030 sunny beach is the lighter one and this one is so special. It has what I would say light to medium shade, but the shade has that perfect amount of grey undertone to it that it can pass as a contour/bronzer. I love that about it. You can apply it as a bronzer, but then it gives you definition like a contour would. And it's not ashy or too grey, but just enough.

Comparison

I compared it to Benefit Hoola and Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. As you can see is much more cool toned than both of those. Physicians Formula also has an obvious sheen and even tiny shimmer in it, while this one doesn't.

Performance

It blends nicely and it doesn't look patchy. It also stays on the face the whole day, though it might fade a bit in color. But for my day to day makeup is descent lasting power.

I am a bit more tanned than usual, so it's harder to see it applied on photos. But I hope you can notice it on the right photo, especially as a nose contour. It's just such a lovely no brainer shade that gives me definition as well as some color. I also use it as my eyeshadow all the time.

For my skin tone this is the best contour/bronzer all in one. It has that grey cooler tone, but it doesn't look ashy or dirty on my skin. It gives my face some definition, but I can just as easily use it as a bronzer to add some color to my face. It's perfect as an eyeshadow for those lazy days and it's very affordable. True gem amongst drugstore.
