Review: Pupa Milano Vamp! Mascara - 100 Extra Black

Packaging

It comes in shiny silver packaging that is wider on top. It has hourglass shaped natural bristled wand which picks up a lot of product from the beginning.

In it is 9 ml of product and it costs around 18€ in DM. On Notino it's around 12€.

Formula

It's one of those formulas that performs as it should from the beginning. You get volume with that first swipe of the brush. It adds length and some definition as well, but I'd say it's mostly volumizing. It's not too wet, but just enough. After some time it starts to get even more volumizing, but it also means you loose definition. This can be solved by just applying one coat instead of two though.

Colors

It's actually available in several shades (green, purple, blue, brown), but I got it in 100 Extra Black, a classic black.

Performance

Photos show you how quickly you can create amazing thicker and long lashes with just one coat. These photos were taken as my mascara already got thicker, because I have been using it for over a month or so. I love that I don't have to keep applying it to create volume, but it can look clumpy, if you're lashes are stubborn. I can't say about the hold of curl, because I have lash lift.

I also like that it leaves my lashes soft to the touch, so there is no weird stabbing of stray lashes in my eyes. It has descent hold on the lashes, though I still notice a bit of fallout at the end of the day. That was a problem especially in hot weather, when lashes would print a bit on my hooded lids, but since it's cold outside I don't have that problem anymore.

I actually asked you on my Instagram which mascaras you recommend for instant volume and Mateja was the one that recommended this one. You can read her review as well. I'm glad I tried it out, because it's now one of my favorite mascaras for volume along side the L'Oreal Paradise mascara. L'Oreal one has less product in it and it costs about the same, so cost wise this one might be more affordable. It's perfect for those of you that like thicker, longer lashes that make a statement with volume instantly and you're not so worried about definition. If you have very hooded lids or mascaras usually transfer on you, go for the waterproof version.
