Review: Caudalie Vinopure Products

Caudalie Vinopure line is created for those with skin problems. Most products contain their famous grape water as well as salicylic acid which is beta hydroxy acid that cleanses pores from inside. All products give you shine free, matte finish, so it's perfect for oily skin. Caudalie is considered natural brand with high percentage of natural origin ingredients. Their products are also free of lots of synthetic ingredients and some formulas are vegan.

Vinopure line has this mint grey green packaging mixed with some white plastic and wood. Their packaging is always easy to use and very esthetically pleasing with minimalistic design. You also get a pretty big amount of products inside it, so it will last you a while.

Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser

This is cleansing gel that contains some salicylic acid to help keep skin clean, free of blemishes, tighten pores and prevent excess sebum production.

In it is 150 ml and it costs 17.40€

It contains Caudalie's famous grape water, glycerin, aloe vera, salicylic acid and bunch of herbal and plant oils that give it fresh herbal spa like scent.

It's transparent liquid gel that lathers just enough. It has that slippery texture that all Caudalie products tend to have, so it's very easy to massage.

After I use it my skin feels well cleansed, but not stripped or squeaky clean. I never had problems with it drying out my skin, but my skin is in general combination type. I've noticed this definitely helped me keep my skin free of blemishes with daily use and skin's texture was always smooth. When I use other cleansers my skin usually gets a bit textured, especially in winter time, because there are spots of dry flakes. It's probably my favorite product of this range.

Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Mask

Mask reduces blemishes, enlarged pores, blackheads and oiliness. It makes the skin look clean and matte.

In it is 75 ml of product and it costs 22.50€.

It's clay based mask with some glycerin, zinc as well as some essential oils like bergamot and lavender that give it this aromatherapy sleepy scent.

I was surprised at how light this formula feels. Usually clay masks tend to be thick and hard to squeeze out, but this one is thin and very easy to apply. It has that muddy green bentonite clay color. Because it's thinner, it dries fast and you really don't want to have it on your face for longer than 5 minutes.

I don't have much to say about clay masks. Usually they feel nice on oily skin, as they seem to suck out any sebum and clean out pores, especially if you try to soften your pores beforehand with some steam. It does what it says, makes skin matte and clean.

Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Toner

This toner tightens pores, reduces imperfections and oily shine. It gives the skin matte look, cleaned and clear.

In it is 200 ml of product and it costs 17.40€.

Toner is another one of my favorites from this line. It's water based, but has alcohol on second place, as well as rose water, grape fruit water, arginine, salicylic acid, citric acid and some essential oils which give it that spa scent.

It's transparent liquid that I use on cotton pad after cleansing. Regular use kept my skin smoother and cleaner as do most salicylic products. I personally love BHAs in my toners and this one was nice. I'm not crazy about the amount of essential oils, but I have to admit they give my skin that aromatherapy spa like sensorial experience. Prolong use can dry out skin, but only, if you don't have right skin care products that you apply after. I noticed it's not as strong as some other acids I've had in the past and it didn't dry out my skin.

Caudalie Vinopure Blemish Control Salicylic Serum

It's serum formulated to reduce imperfections, unclog and tighten pores. It should refine skin's texture and give it healthy shine free glow.

In it is 30 ml of product and it costs 34.80€.

Ingredients wise this is very similar to toner - alcohol, rose water, salicylic acid and a bunch of essential oils

Serum has murky white color and is very smooth. I often times say Caudalie products have that super slippery feel on the skin that makes them super easy to spread, but for some reason their serums don't agree with my makeup and my makeup peels on top of it, so I usually only use them in the evening.

It's lightweight, viscose serum that soaks in fast and leaves your skin matte. This can be used almost as a spot treatment and I've used it like that a lot. This is especially good, if you don't have oily or problematic skin all over your face, as it can feel too drying all over or not moisturizing enough. It can help prevent further blemishes, though I didn't notice the ones I had heal any faster using it. I feel like this formula would work much better on me in summer, when my pores are more clogged and my skin oilier.

Caudalie Vinopure Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid

It's fluid that gives you hydrated, but also shine free skin all day. It also reduces imperfections, refines skin texture and hydrated it with a matte finish.

In it is 40 ml of product and it costs 30.10€.

Fluid contains similar ingredients to toner and serum, but doesn't have salicylic acid in it, instead it has glycerin, niacinamide and silica to keep skin mattified.

It has gel cream texture that is very lightweight and again spreads with ease. It feels very light on the skin, absorbs in quick and leaves skin matte. It gives you faint herbal scent. This on its own isn't enough for me right now, but I can see liking it in summer, when my skin tends to get very oil. There is no BHA in it, so it's basically like very lightweight moisturizer with matte finish that oily skin will like. For me this would be again more like spot treatment either on blemishes or my t zone.

Caudalie Vinopure line is more for oily, problematic skin. I have combination skin with occasional blemishes. Their cleanser and toner are my favorite. I've already included them in my daily routine and it works great. Mask is nice, but nothing special, just a basic clay mask, much thinner than I am used to. Serum and fluid would be better for oily skin for daily use, I use them more as spot treatments or for when I have more problematic skin. All products have that strong aromatherapy, spa like scent which is nice in a way, but can quickly become too much, when you layer four of these product that all have strong scents.
