Hey Beauties!

Let me start by saying that I once had some shimmer pearls from Essence and I loved them! That was probably my first highlighter ever. The pearls were from there Poseidon's Love LE, I think. Ever since then I was on a look for a cheap and similar one.

So when I saw this collection I knew I wanted to buy these shimmer pearls. They're from Essence limited edition called Me & My Ice Cream and the name of the color is called 01 I-CY U.

It comes in this nice plastic pot with screw-on top, which is just perfect peachy shade. I also like that the pot is fairly small, so it won't take up a lot of place.


When you open it, it has a foam, which prevents the pearls from moving or getting crushed in the pot. The pearls are in shades of peach, pink, purple, yellow and blue. I personally like the multicolored instead of just one color pearls.

However, when you swirl your finger or brush over the shimmer pearls, you get a white highlighter. No colors seem to pop out. It does have a pink tone to it. That's why I think these pearls should have been in some winter limited edition not summer. Because I prefer gold over silver in summer.

What I don't like is also that the shimmer is slightly too big for my taste. If I can see the individual shimmer-than it's too big for me.

In a pot you get 14 g of product for 3.59 €.

I have to say I am a little disappointed. I like the  packaging and the colors, but I expected it to be nice very small shimmer or sheen of highlighter on my skin, instead I can see shimmer in it, which I really hate. I am also not going to wear this in summer much, because I think this is perfect for winter or spring, not so much for the summer.
