Review: Makeup Revolution Run Boy Run eyeshadow palette

Hey Beauties!

I finally came around to editing all of my photos of this gorgeous eyeshadow palette. I got it a few weeks ago from Slovenian online store licila.si. Thank you :). I have to say, I really really like this palette. Now let's see why this palette is so gorgeous.

The Run Boy Run palette includes 18 eyeshadow shades. It comes in a sleek shiny packaging, which can get really dirty and it's hard to take photos of. In the palette you get this eyeshadow applicator, which I never use and it also has a big mirror - very practical for traveling. The palette is pretty sturdy and I love the gold writing on it. Looks really nice.

It costs around 9€ in Slovenia (now it's only 7€) and 6£ on their official site. I think it's a really affordable price for how many shadows you get. The palette contains 13 grams of product.

In the palette are 18 eyeshadows, of which there are 12 shimmer shades and 6 matte shades. I love the names of them, although they could be shorter, but it's better than Shade 1 and such.

I will describe the shades in a clockwise direction.

Trying to Catch You: light pinkish white with very small shimmer
Running Is Victory: pinkish nude shade with a pearl finish and shimmer
World Is Not Meant For You: taupe silver with shimmer
Hide Behind Me: bronzy brown with shimmer (with orange undertone)

Sun Will Be Guiding You: chocolate brown with shimmer
Day Is A Prophesy: gold brown with shimmer (yellow toned)
Dying To Stop You: baby pink with big white shimmer
Brake Out From Society: cranberry orange with pink sheen and shimmer

Another Day: orange based dark brown with shimmer
It's Time To Run: silvery blue with shimmer
Don't Have To Hide Away: orange gold with bigger shimmer
You Will Be My Boy: purple based dark brown with red/orange shimmer

Follow Me: white matte with pink undertone
Head To The Hills: very light warm brown matte
Run Boy Run: light warm brown matte

Girl On Fire: dirty pink matte with lavender undertone
You Are Finally Mine: greyish brown matte
Head Start: black matte

The shimmery shades are absolutely gorgeous. They apply like a dream as well as blend. I find that they are really nicely pigmented. The color range is amazing and would appeal to a lot of people. Matte shades are like in any palette, a lot less pigmented. I actually am not a big fan of matte shades, but I know a lot of people are. So I personally don't mind the lack of pigmentation and I love using those as a brow bone highlight or in the crease. I am also very happy that the palette includes matte black, because I love to use it in place of an eyeliner. I don't find there to be a lot of fallout with the shades, but there is some.

The shade range is just amazing and my favorite shades are Hide Behind Me, Day Is A Prophesy, Don't Have To Hide Away and You Will Be My Boy. Here I'll also be posting some of the looks I made using the palette, so you can see the shades better in combination with others.

Here I used Don't Have To Hide Away all over the lid and around the lower lash line. In the outer corner I used Day Is A Prophesy. In the inner corner is Running Is Victory and as an eyeliner I used Head Start.

On the center of the lid is Break Out From Society. In the inner part of the lid is Dying To Stop You and on the outer part of the lid is You Will Be My Boy. In the crease is Run Boy Run as well as around the lower lash line.

Here are the mattes shades, which photography really badly, but are actually a bit stronger in real life. Girl On Fire all over the lid. Run Boy Run in the crease and lower lash line. You Are Finally Mine in the outer v. Follow me in the inner corner of the eye and Head Starts as an eyeliner.

Here I used Hide Behind Me all over the lid and on the lower lash line. On the outer v I put Another Day. I the inner corner I used Running Is Victory.

My final thoughts are that I absolutely love the shades in this palette and will recommend it to anyone who wants a variety of gorgeous shades for a very reasonable price. I think this is probably my favorite palette, so thank you Ličila for choosing this gorgeous palette for me. I highly recommend it.

What are your favorite shades from this palette?

Sledi še kratek povzetek za vse slovenske bralke. Paleta Run Boy Run vsebuje 18 senčil, od tega je 12 svetlikajočih in 6 mat. Senčila so zelo lepih odtenkov. Nanašajo se z lahkoto in zelo lepo zabrisujejo. Svetljikajoča senčila so zelo dobro pigmentirana, mat pa so slabše pigmentacije, predvsem svetli odtenki. Če želiti kupiti paleto zaradi mat odtenkov, ne priporočam. So pa svetljikajoči odtenki odlični in sama imam take najraje. :)

Review: Green Line Clear Active Micellar Cleansing Water

Hey Beauties!

A few weeks ago I got this new Micellar Cleansing Water from Green Line. They send it to me and some face cream, which I'll review separately. Green Line is Slovenian brand, but I think it's also available in some other countries. I've been using this product every single time, I needed to remove my makeup, so I tested it pretty well.

The micellar water comes in a plastic bottle with a screw on top. It's pretty practical in my opinion. There's a little hole on the top. Through it goes as much product as you want. I usually squeeze it a little, while I'm pouring it pout on the cotton pad. The hole is also small enough so that I can put my cotton swab next to the hole and get it wet (if you've seen my cleansing routine, you'll know which step is that).

Here is the ingredients list for all of those interested.

Now on to the micellar water itself. First thing is the smell, which is pretty strong and very floral. It contains orange flower water. I'm not big on smells in skin care, but I don't mind them either. I love the fact that it doesn't contain any paraben, mineral oils, silicons or alcohol. It's transparent and of course has consistency of water.

The thing I really liked about it is that it really is gentle. I have a pretty sensitive skin and after using this micellar water I didn't get any red spots, irritations or itchiness. It does remove makeup nicely. I think that you'll need a lot in order to get all of your face makeup off, but I like to use micellar waters for eye makeup removal only. I did try it on the entire face as well and it did the job well. It's sensitive enough for the eyes. This product also promises to moisturize and it does. Right after the use the skin feels a bit sticky and then it mattes down. It does feel a bit moisturizing, but I always wash micellar water off and don't think that anyone would use it for moisturizing purposes. The good thing is also the no alcohol ingredients list, which can make skin dry out.

The micellar water supposedly cost something around 4 € and you get 200 ml of product.

I only use micellar waters for removing eye makeup. This Green Line version worked really nicely with my sensitive skin and I think it's a pretty good product. It smells nice, does the job and everything else that promises and is pretty affordable. A very good choice for anyone on the budget or looking for a nice gentle face product. Recommend :).

Thank you Green Line for sending me this product. I love the fact that Slovenian brands are reaching out to bloggers and hope to see more collaborations.

Vodica dobro odstrani ves makeup.

Beauty tag - You can only pick one

Hey Beauties!

I'm back! Some of you, who follow me on Instagram, might have seen that I was completely destroying my room and now it's finally done. Yey for me, because I was getting sick of not finding things and sleeping in another room. I have a lot of reviews to write and I wanted to start with this awesome tag. I was tagged by the lovely Mateja from Mateja's Beauty Blog. Thanks girl, I appreciate it ;).

The tag was created by Rebecca from Autumn Leaves. The point of the tag is that you're allowed to pick only one brand/item for each category. So, it was tough, but here it is.

Low End/ Drugstore Brand

This one is really hard. I finally decided on Revlon, because it has my favorite bases, like foundation and concealer. I also really love their nail polishes and lip butters. I haven't tried the lipsticks and eye products, but I hear good thing about their lipsticks.

High End Brand

As far as makeup goes, I don't use any high end brands. So in this category, I'm mentioning the skin care and the one brand that I really like - Bioderma. Their micellar water is my staple and I've tried a lot of their cream testers and non have disappointed me. I also really like their Sensibio Eye Cream. I like the brand, because it makes a very sensitive products, which my skin needs.

Primer

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer. It's the only one I have and I love it. It prolongs the wear of my makeup and makes the skin surface very smooth.

Highlighter

I have my recent favorite. The Terra Naturi Shimmer Powder in 01 Golden Highlight. I know I said in the review that it's a bit too dark, but lately, I've been using a bit darker foundation and it looks like perfection. i swear, I'm obsessed with it. I wear it every day. It's just a perfect mix of a very subtle, yet very glows product. It doesn't look too shiny with bigger chunks of glitter like my Essence Metal Glam highlighter (I still love you, though) and it's not extremely subtle (something like L'Oreal Lumi Magique primer). I can't say how obsessed I am with it. It's also a perfectly golden shine, that looks amazing in the summer.

Foundation / Face Product

Currently, I'm in search of a good foundation. I have really been loving Revlon Colorstay. I know to a lot of people it is too heavy for the summer, but I love. It gives me amazing coverage and I can always sheer it out with face moisturizer. It's also my summer staple. I love mixing it with face cream and applying it before going to the beach. Yes, foundation is the one thing that I need to wear on the beach - a very light and sheered out layer, but nonetheless.

Concealer

No debate here, it's Revlon Colorstay concealer. I've just bought it for the fourth or fifth time. It's moisturizing and still gives enough coverage to cover anything that foundation didn't. I also love the more yellow tone, because it suits me well.

Bronzer

This is the one category that I haven't explored enough. Any suggestions? I actually use a very cheap Essence Sun Club bronzer and currently have no other. I'm really interested in investing into one.

Blush

I've noticed that the one blush I always go for and that I know looks the most complimenting on my skin tone is Deborah Milano blush in 24 Rame. It's a bronzy peach shade that looks very natural on me and has tiny little gold shimmer in it. Plus it's baked, so I've had it for ages and it still looks like I haven't even use it.

Powder

Rimmel Stay Matte. I don't know what exactly it is about it, but it just looks good and sits nice on the skin. It never looks cakey or overdone. I always buy the transparent shade that is good for winter and summer. It's worth the hype.

Setting Spray

I don't use one. Never did and probably never will.

Eyebrow Product

Catrice Eye Brow Stylist in 020 Date With Ash-ton. This is the prefect shade for my brows. It's a light brown with a grey undertone. Perfect! I also love the texture of it. If Catrice decides to discontinue this product, I will be very mad!

Eyeshadow / Palette

The one palette that has the shades that I love to use the most is MUA Undress Me Too eyeshadow palette. It's supposed to be Urban Decay Naked 2 dupe. I find the shades to be a pretty good quality, but I especially like the warm toned shades that vary from neutrals to coppery golden browns to a must have matte black. (Excuse how dirty the palette is - I'm getting around to cleaning the makeup as well.)

Eyeliner

It's hard to pick just one. A few days ago, I would probably say Maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner, but in a week, I might say L'Oreal Super Liner Ultra Precision eyeliner. I love Maybelline, because it's in a pen form and it's not as liquid as L'Oreal. But I have to say that L'Oreal has better staying powder. It did not move the entire day, while Maybelline sometimes tends to transfer on the lid. I'm really undecided, but probably it will be L'Oreal.

Mascara

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes. Out of all the mascaras, this is the one I'll go back to, if others don't work. It gives a really nice separation and volume to the lashes. I'm all about volume and separated lashes look extremely full. I also like the silicon brush.

Lip Product

Maybelline Water Shine Gloss (the shade has rubbed off). It's a nude lip gloss with silver shimmer. I think it's discontinued, but it's probably the one lip product, I've worn the most. It's a nice nudey shade for everyday and it makes a very juicy lips.

Nail Polish

I can only pick one? That's completely unreasonable. I have a full drawer of nail polish and will need to store them in another one, because I put nail polishes all over each other. It's impossible to pick just one... Seche Vite Top Coat! Ha! Does this count? :)) I think it should, it's also a nail polish and it's the one that I use with every manicure.

Beauty Tool

This was also a very hard debate. I guess one thing that I can't live without is the eyelash curler. I currently have Tana curler. It does the job well and it's gold, which I love. I've debated on buying the Shu Uemura eyelash curler, but haven't completely decided to do so.

I am going to tag Sabina from Sabina's Little Happy Place, Astrid from Truth About Cosmetics, Miss Louise from Lilting-Grace and everyone else who would like to do this tag.

Review: Makeup Revolution nail polish (Beautiful Helps)

Hey Beauties!
A while ago I got send another package of new products from Makeup Revolution. It was send to me from Slovenian online store licila.si. I also got a beautiful palette that I'm using daily and the review will be up, when I photograph a few looks with the shades.

Today's review is about their nail polish in the shade Beautiful Helps. The shade is a really nice peach shade. It's perfect for spring and summer.

The first applications went on like a dream. However, the second application, not so much. I don't know what went wrong, but the brush started to leave stripes on my nails. I really don't like that, because I want the nail polish to be as even as possible. Maybe it was the fact that I probably forgot to shade it the second time. It says on the nail polish to shake it well, before applying. The brush is a regular nail polish brush. The polish itself is somewhere between thick and thin. It's not too sheer, but it's not crazy opaque, either. I think two coats are in order. I do two coats with all the other polishes, as well.

Top: one coat, Bottom: two coats
The thing that surprised me was that it dried fairly quicky. Of course, I always put on the top coat over it, but let's say that the base was already dry, when I was applying on the top coat (and that was about 5 minutes after the application).

As far as the staying power goes, I think it's not bad. Again, I always put top coats over my manicures, so my opinion may not be for those, who don't. On me it didn't last for a long time, because my current job is hell for my nails (I work in a clothing shop, putting clothes on the racks, off, putting on stickers, you get it).  I'm sure it would last longer otherwise. But I think that for the price, it's not bad.

The price is really inexpensive, it costs 1.95 € and you get ml of nail polish – which is a lot.

To conclude, the shade is beautiful, the staying power not bad, it dries quicky, but the application is streaky and uneven. It's also a very cheap product, so for that I think it's a fairly good product, based on the price. The nail polishes are accessories for a lot of people and if you're one of those who likes to change nail polish every other day, this could be perfect for you and your budget.
