Catrice has new limited edition called Sungasm that is already available in stores. I have tried out their Summer Glow Make-Up Setting Mist and it's a great one for getting moisturized and dewy look back to your skin after applying powder makeup or just to refresh your makeup.

I've done it again. Bought yet another highlighter. But to be fair, for the price, this has to be one of the best I've tried. Essence came out with new Limited Edition called simply Glow... It's a whole collection filled with products that will add glow to your face. Glowing powders, highlighters, palettes, liquid highlighters, fixing sprays and such. I chose one of their metallic highlighters, because it looked so metallic and glowy. 

I've spoken about sheet mask from Essence Genderless LE and Catrice also has the same concept for their latest limited edition called Genderless. Products that are universal and can be used by men and women. In the range was also a peel-off brow tint and I immediately got curious about it. I was hoping for a waterproof or at least very long lasting tint, but this is more of a one day effect.

Essence and Catrice both came out with two limited editions that are concentrating on products for both female and male population. Essence LE Boys & Girls includes a lot of basics for grooming and creating that perfect base. I got to test out their Facial Sheet Mask and it has positively surprised me. 

Packaging

Sheet masks are gaining popularity in Europe as well and I have to say I really like them. It's the funnest and easiest way of including some great ingredients into your skin care routine for when you have some time on your hands. I've mostly been trying out Korean brands of sheet masks and only a few from our drugstores, which underwhelmed me. 

Essence sheet mask comes in a simple plastic bag with stripes design in neutral black, white and blue colors. 

I can't find information on the packaging about how much essence is actually in it, but it costs 2.19€. 

Here is the ingredients list. Niacinamide is high on the list, on 5th place and since there is no alcohol in it, it is already better than most of our drugstore sheet masks. 

Formula

It has a thin, but viscose, transparent essence. I find there's plenty of it in the bag, so the sheet is well saturated and there is also some leftovers. I always use the rest as a serum on the second day. 

Sheet and Fit

Sheet is fairly thin and it sticks well to the skin. I like the fit, because it covers my brows and has big enough eye opening. It almost covers my long nose, there's only a bit of the tip left out. It's also wide enough to cover my whole face. 

Performance

I loved the fact that the sheet didn't dry out too fast which meant it was well saturated. Some drugstore sheets have dried out really fast on me. 

It felt very soothing and moisturizing on the skin. There was no irritation. After I took it off, it left behind a slight sticky layer which I love, because to me it means that it's nourishing. The sticky layer never really vanishes completely, but it's a good base for makeup.

It definitely made my skin look a bit brighter, probably due to niacinamide in it (although nothing like some Asian masks I've tried before). My skin looked very glowy, felt nourished and even a bit plumper. This is definitely good sheet mask for sensitive and dry skin in need of nourishment. It reminded me a bit of Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask - Ceramide sheet mask which also has that lovely nourishment to it. 

It has a mild soothing scent which for some reason reminds me of creams. 

I didn't expect much from this sheet mask, but I really liked it. It's great moisturizing mask that also gives you descent nourishment and a bit of brightening effect which is much more than most of the sheet masks that we can find in our drugstores. If you have dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin, I recommend this one for you. I already bought myself another one of these last week.

Catrice's last Limited Edition of this year is called Dazzle Bomb and it's as glittery as you would have expected for this time of year. I got their Cosmic Body Sparkle Fluid which is a lovely liquid highlighter, or should I say almost glitter, for the body. It adds that sparkly note to your sparkly dress for the New Year's Eve or any other party occasion.

It comes in a matte heavy glass bottle with dropper. The packaging is sturdy and luxurious looking. I wouldn't mind displaying it on my shelf. 

In it is 21 ml of product and it costs 7.29€.

Dropper works well and you can control how much product you want. Because it's a very liquid product, I think dropper is the best choice here.

Fluid has a very liquid texture that looks pink in the bottle. Once you actually blend it into the skin, it looks almost transparent with cooler silver vibe to it. Some shimmer is tiny and gives you that glow and some shimmer is bigger silver and reflects various colors. It gives skin almost transparent sheen with chunks of shimmer.

At the beginning you have a lot of that wet looking glow from almost invisible shimmer, but as the day goes on, the glow fades and you're left with chunks of fairly big shimmer, although I wouldn't call it glitter just yet.


It doesn't look like much in the sunlight or natural light in general, but under the artificial light it really pops. Especially the bigger shimmer reflects light and you basically look like a sparkly disco ball. It's gorgeous for evening parties.

Because there are chunks of shimmer, I wouldn't put this on the face, but you can if you want to. I only use this on my body. It's actually light enough for my light skin tone and it's not too cool toned, but also not warm. This would be perfect for very fair skin tone. 

It's scented and the scent is amazing. To me it smells kind of like a baby powder. It doesn't linger on the skin though. The scent is quite subtle too and not overpowering. 

It actually sticks to the skin well and stays there for the whole day, but it's not transfer proof. The shimmer will go on your clothes, so I advise you to only apply it on the parts of the body that are exposed. 

Here is some photo proof. Obviously, it's impossible to photograph shimmer, because it never looks as pretty on photos as it does in real life.

I hope you can see that it doesn't look like much in natural day light in the shadow. It looks much more glowy and shimmery on the sun, but looks especially shimmery and sparkly under the artificial light. 

I think this might be a fun gift for someone, because people usually don't buy these kind of body products for themselves. If the shimmer would be finer and more metallic based, I would use it as a highlighter all over the face and body. Catrice and Essence had a lot of similar body fluids in their previous Limited Editions and those were more metallic. But this is more of a shimmery leaning towards glittery body product that will be the star of all the evening parties. It looks a bit meh under the natural light. Under the artificial light it becomes so sparkly and if you like those kind of shimmery/glittery products, you would love this one too. I also love the fact that it has that baby powder scent to it and it's definitely geared towards pale and light skin tones. It might look ashy on medium or dark skin tone.

Kaviar Gauche is a German bridal brand. They've already collaborated with Catrice before and this time they also created another luxurious looking collection. I was attracted to the highlighter and since I loved it so much, here is a quick review.

I had to retake the photos of this highlighter, because they didn't turn out as nice as I would have liked it, so you can see that I've already been using it a bit. It has some dipped in holes. But it has the same gold pattern embossed in the actual powder. It looks gorgeous, although you'll definitely ruin the design quickly.  

The shade name is called C01 Eclat D'Or and it looks very pink in the packaging. There is definitely a very light rose base to it, but barely noticeable. It's more of a true champagne shade with light gold sheen. The shimmer is very fine, like at Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone, so it gives you the most gorgeous sheen.

Texture is on the wet side. It can be applied sheerer and it almost lets your skin show through, but you can also apply it heavier for that really intense sheen. The shade is universally flattering on light to medium skin tones and because it's buildable, you'll like it if you like a subtle sheen as well as if you like a bolder glow. 

It lasts great on the skin. I still have it on the skin at the end of the day, the intensity just fades a bit.

I definitely notice a slight sweet vanilla like scent to the powder which doesn't linger on the skin though. 

I compared it to my other highlighters. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone is a light gold shade and has more of that yellow undertone, but is still very light. theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer is a deeper gold shade that has more of a peachy undertone to it. Kiko Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter in 100 Gold is actually very similar in shade to this one by Catrice. It's a cream formula and it's champagne with that similar rose tint to it, but the sheen it gives it's gold. It actually looks even more intense than Catrice and the shimmer in it is even smaller. If you layer it, it can look more gold. A mix of Kiko as a base and Catrice on top will give you an incredible glow. 

On the bottom photos you can see how it looks like applied lightly and how intense you can build it up.

It has quickly become my new favorite highlighter shade, because it's not too stark light and not too gold. It fits so well with my skin tone and looks just gorgeous. 

Essence new Limited Edition is called Made To Sparkle and it's already available in stores. I browsed through the collection, but decided to only get the palette since it looked interesting and I'm always up for buying something new to my collection. The collection features a lot of sparkly products for eyes, face and nails. It's very sparkly themed. 

It's called Essence Made To Sparkle Highlighting & Transforming Prismatic Palette and it's for eyes, cheeks and lips. They've named it 01 Don't Let Anyone Ever Dull Your Sparkle.

It comes in a plastic black packaging with transparent lid. It also has cute gold diamond design on it. It's a bit flimsy, but I expect that for the price.

In it is 7.7 grams of product and it costs 3.29€.

In the palette are four shades. They look more boring in the pan than on the skin. It's basically a collection of fours shades with fine shimmer that can be used as eyeshadows, highlighter, highlighting blush or a topper over lipsticks. 

1 - light shimmery yellow gold shade

2 - light white base with lavender blue sheen

3 - light white base with pink sheen

4 - light mint green with golden sheen

All of these have a shimmery look to them, although you can't see any actual shimmer in it. It's very finely milled and just gives you a lovely sheen. Most of these shades are sheer and can as such be applied over other shades. I feel like the gold shade is the only one that can look really opaque when build up.

Gold is a stunning highlighter shade for light warm skin tone. I actually really like it for that, because it's pigmented, but has no visible shimmer, just a lovely sheen. It also looks gorgeous in the inner corner of the eye.

Lavender blue is great applied over eyeshadow or even colorful lipsticks. I like wearing pink as a highlighter or a topper over pink colored blush. It gives it lovely sheen.

Green is the only shade that isn't really wearable as a highlighter. I would only wear this as an eyeshadow topper or maybe over very dark lipsticks for a fun twist.

Formula is not dry, but also not really wet. It's in between and applies easily. Pigmentation is OK, but it's more of a sheerer formula and you have to really build it up, if you want it to look opaque. I see these more for the skin or as a sheen on top of other shades. If you'll be using it on the lid, I advise you to apply it with fingers, because the brush doesn't really pick up much of that color. 

They are not really long lasting on top of other eyeshadows. They last well in the inner corner of eyes and as highlighters, but on the eyes and lips they just don't look that vibrant and obviously fade a bit through the day. Pink and gold last very well as highlighters, especially if you apply a few more coats. 

I especially like the gold shade as a face highlighter. Here is a comparison with two others. Gold shade from Essence is yellow based gold. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone is more champagne colored. It doesn't have that yellow tone to it. theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer is more peach based and slightly darker. 

I have to say that these shades with sheen look much prettier in real life. The color and sheen gets lost on the photos, keep that in mind. Here are some of the looks I created with this palette

Pink shade I used on the center of the lid over a basic matte brown base. I also applied it in the inner corner. It gives off a much more visible pink shine in real life. 

The blue color also looks much more vibrant in real life and you almost can't see that cool blue sheen on the photos. I also used it on the center of the lid and inner corners.

I applied green color over a matte brown base. This one applies sheerer for something that look very vibrant in the pan. In the inner corners I used gold shade. I also applied gold shade as a highlighter all over my face. Pink and blue color I applied over a mauve brown liquid lipstick to give it a bit of sheen, but it's actually not even that visible in real life. 

I think this is a fun all around palette to have for when you want some sparkle on your eyes, cheeks or even lips. It's not as pigmented as I thought it would be, but the sheerer formula actually looks better as a topper and over the skin. Colors look especially nice as a blush toppers or highlighters. On the eyes they fade quicker and don't look as vibrant. The same goes with lipsticks, since the pigment gets absorbed by the lipstick. If you like something different with fun sheen or are looking for fun highlighting shades, these could be for you. I am most impressed with the gold shade which I love as a highlighter. I also like blue and pink in the inner corners for something slightly more colorful. Green is more of a specific taste color and I might not get that much use out of it.
