2015 Favorite Products

Hey Beauties!

I thought I wasn't gonna do this post, but I changed my mind. It's nice to feature just a few of the products that were a complete hit with me in previous year. It's the products that I reviewed in 2015, were the most used and would definitely recommend them to everyone.

I decided to group products in one photo to make sure that this post wasn't too long.

By far the best drugstore heat protect spray I've tried. I always blow dry my hair and I like to protect them before doing that, just to save me some damage. This is like a watery milky spray, which you spray and you're done. It's the most nourishing and non sticky spray ever. Seriously the best for anyone who blow drys their hair or uses heat on their hair.

I've been using this for a really long time, but just reviewed it in 2015. It's a basic hair oil. I like it, because it's thick, but doesn't leave your hair sticky. It gives a nice shine and moisture to your hair without weighing them down. Again, one of those basic but always needed products in my hair care. It also smells like chewing gum.

I always say that I prefer high end products for hair, but in 2015 I've been all about more affordable hair products. Which is a good indication that you can get good products for normal prices. This shampoo is very basic, but also good. It doesn't weigh down the hair, but it just gives you enough moisture for the hair to look healthy. It's a nice texture and it cleans the hair without stripping them down and making them feel dry.

The first of many CC and BB creams that actually made me fall in love with those kind of products. I am more of a fuller coverage believer, but this changed it all. It's a thick white cream which adopts to your skin and gives you a light buildable coverage. It dries to a nice luminous matte finish. It looks like a better version of skin. By far one of the best surprised for me personally.

My first ever cleansing oil. If you don't have one yet, this is a good one. It's the easiest way of removing tons of makeup with a bit of oil and massage. If you add muslin cloth to the process it's even easier. It's a great subtle smelling oil which breaks down all of the makeup. In one swipe you're ready for sleep, which is why I love it so much. The smell adds to a relaxing experience.

If you're looking for a multi functional water that can do pretty much anything, look no further. I didn't expect to like this so much. It's a floral water which you spray on your face. I use it as a toner usually. You can also use it as a setting spray or hydrating step in your routine. The thing that makes it a winner for me, it's the spray system. It's so easy. On my lazy nights, I at least have 2 seconds to spray this on for a bit of hydrating, if I don't feel like putting anything else on.

Another first for me. It's the first sheet mask that I've tried. Sheet masks are a fun way of looking silly, while still doing something for your skin. It's so cheap, but works great. It's very moist and it hydrates the skin just enough. When you're done you are left with leftover mask which you massage into the skin. One of the best inventions and masks at an affordable price.

A discovery by Mateja and my new favorite face oil. It's actually multi-purpose, but I use it on my face. This is one of the rare oils that has it all. It smells amazing, it hydrates the skin and it makes it baby butt soft. I love using this at night, because even though it is dry oil, it still leaves a greasy layer on your face.

My new holy grail of face creams. I am probably on my third pot, but I already have a backup in my drawer. I've said this before, if Avon discontinues this, I'll be very angry. It's the best hydrating cream for sensitive skin. The smell is subtle. Texture of it is white and it leaves behind a very dewy glowy finish. I will probably repurchase it forever.

My favorite palette from last year in terms of shade combination. I like that you get a nice variety of shades, but they're all still pretty natural. Pops of colors are not too bright, but a welcome change. The quality is good, but not extraordinary. For the price you really get a lot.

Contrary to Flawless, this one has amazing pigmentation. Probably the best one out of all my palettes (except Sleek). The shades are a nice range of neutrals with lots of browns and taupes. This is like a basic everyday palette that all should own. All that's missing is black. It's shaped as a white chocolate and it even has a nice sweet smell, but not of chocolate.

Shade 3 it's the reason why this palette is in this post. I can't say I own duo chrome shadows, but this one made me fall in love. It's a nice basic brown with a peacock like sheen to it. It's amazing. All the other shades are also very neutral and they go together well, but I love the third one the most.

This palette was my favorite all through the fall. It's a nice combination of plums and they're mostly matte and well pigmented. Which is rare to find. It's just such a nice color combination for anyone that loves plums. I like to look at it as a fall alternative to my usual browns.

The one and only single eyeshadow that impressed me previous year. It's an amazing olive brown. It's my favorite shade of green, because it doesn't look like green. It's very gold warm toned and looks just a bit rusty. I also can't believe how well pigmented is this. If anyone know where can I get more of these eyeshadows, let me know. I'm pretty sure they've been discontinued.

An absolute favorite drugstore find from 2015. Catrice rarely surprises me as positively as with this one. It's a nice medium coverage concealer, which is not too thick. It also feel a bit hydrating which means it's great for under eye area. I have already repurchased it multiple times.

This one is my favorite mascara. It's the only drugstore mascara, which separates my lashes and also adds nice amount of volume. I like mascaras that have volume, but also don't stick lashes together. It's also one of  rare mascaras that holds my curl. This is the main reason why I stick with it. No other non waterproof drugstore mascara does that.

It's a brow and nose powder from Born Pretty Store. The packaging is super cute and small. I like it, because the middle shade is perfect for my brows. It's a nice taupe medium brown. It also stays put the whole day and has a nice pigmentation, but still gives you soft enough effect. A true gem that I've used non-stop since I got it.

The palette has my favorite shade of matte bronzer. I love it so much, because it's quit fair and it doesn't show up too pigmented. It's warm toned so it suits my skin tone. My favorite matte bronzer, which you can see by how messy my palette looks like. I already have a backup.

When I want my face to look more sculpted, especially cheeks, I go for this set. The contour is a really nice light taupe based matte brown. It really puts natural shadow on your face. The highlighter is ok. It's very light and a bit understated for my taste.

My holy grail highlighter and I've discovered it last year. It's the one purchase that I'm never gonna be sorry that I spend a bit more on. The perfect shade of champagne with gold undertone. It's light enough for me and the best thing, it's very glowy. Shimmer is small, but makes a statement. I will never separate from it.

Betty is one of the most amazing shimmery bronzer to use in summer. It looks best on me when I have a bit of tan. If you're skin tone is on the medium side, this will be pure gold for you. It's very warm toned almost orange (so cool tones stay away) and it gives you the most perfect sun kissed bronzy look. In the winter though, it's too much for my fair skin.

These are from Ebay and they're essentially dupes for Real Techniques Bold Metals brushes. It's the best cheap brush that you can get. The synthetic bristles are extremely soft and well glued. Handles are metallic and plastic. I just got them recently, but am using them every day.

A mix of lip balm and moisturizing pigmented lipstick. It's more on the balmy hydrating side. The shade Honey Flower is perfect mix of pink, peach and brown. Almost seems a bit similar to MAC's Patisserie. I really like the formula for when I want something colorful, but shiny.

Avon makes one of the best affordable lipstick formulas and 3D plumping lipsticks were a total hit with me. It's the best formula for dry lips. Offers amazing pigmentation, lip balm nourishment and a bit of tingling sensation (which I don't even notice anymore). They have a sort of satin matte finish. My absolute favorite shades from the range of 15 shades are Berry Cute (wearable plum) and Twig (90's inspired brown).

Probably my favorite nude shade and my most surprising find. It's from Born Pretty Store. The formula is creamy and well pigmented. It doesn't dry out my lips and feel more luxurious than it would seem. The shade is a perfect peachy brown nude.

I finally found my perfect red lipstick. It's warm orange toned red shade. The finish is matte and definitely not as lip friendly as my Avon lipsticks, but the effect is too pretty to turn down. It's my kind of red shade and it's one of those statement lipsticks. When I wear it, I always get compliments.

Avon has been stocking me up with glitter nail polishes and I've been loving it. Mineral Crush is ana amazing glittery line. It's sophisticated with different sized glitter. I see this as a perfect nail polish for when you want to impress. My favorite shade is Pearl, which is a nice pinkish taupe.

This is the latest edition to Avon's glitter nail polishes. My favorite is Dazzle, because it's such a unique mix of shades. It's a purple base with pink bigger glitter and small copper shimmer. Perfect combination and it looks mesmerizing on the nails.

Molten Metals are for those who are afraid of glitter. Those have the smallest shimmer. The finish is almost sand like and the shimmer makes it a bit different. It's a nice ways of adding sparkle, but not feeling too obvious with it. My favorite shade is Copper, which is a warm orange toned gold.

It's a nice transparent top coat with different sized gold particles. It's basically a revamp of their Metal Glam top coat. Since I missed that one, I was eager to get this one. It's the most unique gold top coat and it looks amazing with every possible shade.

This is from now on my favorite nail polish range. I can't say how much I like their nail polishes. You can choose among every possible shade. The texture is creamy, not too thick and not too thin. The brush is regular and they are pretty long lasting. I want them all. My favorite shade has to be 322 Caffe Latte.

Matte nails had their moment before, but I want them at reach every time. This matte top coat turns any nail polish color to a complete matte shade. It dries fairly quickly and the finish of it is completely matte, which is amazing.

I am coconut obsessed lover. This is the best coconut smelling fragrance that actually smells like a very true version of coconut. It's very cheap. If you love coconut, this is an absolute must have.

Another scent that is coconut inspired. This one is actually more on the vanilla side. It's very sweet and I don't use it as a mist, but more instead of a perfume, because it's very strong and long lasting. This mixed with Yves Rocher is heaven.

We've come to the end of my 2015 favorite products. I also wanted to, for the first time, feature some of the blogs that I read the most in 2015. I read a lot of blogs, but I decided to narrow it down to those that I read the most often.

Review: H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher (Brown Sugar)

Hey Beauties!

When H&M new beauty line came out, it was all over the blogs. It was well raved about and I too wanted to get on board. Opportunity finally arise that I could actually go to the one and only store in Slovenia that carries it. (Seriously H&M, I know we're a small country, but maybe you can add at least second largest city to your VIP treatment?!). I would love to get some more, but that would require me to drive half a country to get to it.

In the store I was astonished by the prices. I always saw H&M as an affordable mass produced products, but the prices were pretty high. Here is the only turn down for me - the prices. The range is huge actually and anyone can find something for themselves. I fell in love with their single eyeshadows, but the price was a bit too high for me to get it at the time. Now I would probably go back. Instead I decided to only take one of their blushes. I choice it over the internet and in the store I confirmed that my decision was right. I got Pure Radiance Powder Blusher in Brown Sugar.

It comes in a black and white paper box.

The packaging is mix of black and gold.  On the top it's black plastic, on the bottom gold and the writing is gold as well. May I say, my favorite packaging colors. It's in the shape of a honeycomb. Very thin and lightweight packaging. Great for storage and travelling

It costs 7.99€ and you get 5 grams of product. When you take in consideration that Milani blushes contain 3.5 grams and MAC brushes contain 6 grams, the price doesn't seem so high. But still, it's H&M and I expected lower prices from them.

The blusher seems tiny in the pan, although it's just the packaging that makes it seem this way.

Brown Sugar is a very unique shade in my collection. It's brownish peach shade and it looks matte in the pan. Once you swatch it, it gives you a very subtle almost unnoticeable sheen, which they call luminous finish. I compared it with some of my other blushes and non have that kind of finish. Milani Luminoso has small shimmer which gives it a glow and MAC Pinch Me (Sheertone) has a true matte finish. I can safely say that I don't have any similar finish in my collection. Saying that, I really like it. It's such a subtle sheen, but still makes it just a tiny bit more wearable and not as dead matte as some other blushes.

I compared the shade with other similar in tone, but found no dupes. Luminoso looked the most similar, but it's a lot peachier.

I love the shade and I love the texture of it. It applies like a dream. It's probably one of my most pigmented matte blushes. I have to knock some of it off the brush or it looks a bit too much. Even though it says that it's sheer coverage, I would say because of the pigmentation it can look bold, so softer brushes might be better option. It is definitely not bright or too in your face, but you will get the color payoff.

Here you can see how it looks like on me. I absolutely love this shade and luminous finish. It's a nice alternative to my usual peach shades and it looks very natural on the face. It doesn't glow and the shimmer isn't seen under the sun, but it still gives you a very healthy looking cheeks.

The thing that surprised me is how well it wears. I think it's one of the most long lasting blushes that I own. I don't notice such things or ever comment on the wear of a blush, but I did notice that it looked the same all through the day. Usually blushes fade on me as the day goes on, not this one.

I am impressed, very. The quality is superb. I like the shade and the luminous finish. The packaging does feel a bit cheap and plasticy, but it's about the content, right? I am still not crazy about the price, but I will forgive them for the blush. It's worth it. Now I have one of their coppery gold eye shadows stuck in my mind and I hope I'll get the chance to go back and get it.

Oh, I also changed my header photo and a bit of my blog look in general. If I'll have more time, I'll change more. But for now, I really needed an updated photo for my social media profiles.

Enough of my rambling. I wish you all the best in 2016 and may all your ambitions and plans turn out as you want.

Review: Bynanda BB Cushion Magic

Hey Beauties!

When I browsed through Born Pretty Store, I found that they had BB cushion and I immediately wanted it. BB cushions first came out on Asia markets and they have slowly been coming to Europe, but the trend here is definitely not as big. I really like the concept of it and I wanted to try one for the longest time, but could never find any.

Bynanda BB Cushion Magic comes in paper box. The cushion is actually sealed in silver bag so it's very secure and it ensures you that no one else has tried it. The look of it is like a white plastic pot. It actually reminds me of Polly Pocket. If you're a 90's kid, you'll know what that is.

It opens by pushing small button. On the upper side is a mirror and on the lower side you see small sponge. The sponge is dark blue on the bottom side. This side you dip into the cushion and transfer the BB onto your skin. It also has a small ribbon around it, which makes it easier for you to hold in between fingers. The sponge is very soft and transfers just enough BB.

Under the sponge is another plastic layer. This one opens from the side and under it you find sponge with BB cream. This also has a sticker over it for hygienic reasons. The whole BB cushion pot can also pop out. I think this is probably made for refills. So that you can buy a refill and just change that part of it.

It's one of the easiest systems to use. You just open it, take the sponge, dip it into the BB cushion and apply it on the skin by tapping it on. Literally, the easiest way ever. So convenient and travel friendly. I am not sure how hygienic this sponge is after a while, but I think if you wash it out every now an then, it shouldn't be a problem.

I can't actually tell you what the texture is, because it's obviously in the sponge. I did scoop a little out to show you how it looks like and what the color is. The color I chose is 01 and you can also get 02. You know how hard this is to choose at random over a photo, but I figured 01 has to be lighter. It's actually pretty yellow toned and a bit darker than most of my foundations.

It's very liquid and pretty thin. Once it's blended into the skin, it doesn't look as dark.

I also compared it to some of my other foundations. L'Oreal is the darkest. Bynanda is very similar to Bourjois, but it's a bit darker.

The coverage is light, but can be build up to light to medium. It evens out the skin tone and covers very little imperfections. It doesn't cover redness or any other imperfections. This really is very lightweight. I like to use powder on top of it, which gives me another colored layer and with it I can get to a light medium coverage.

What's unique about this BB cream is the fact that it's very dewy. Extremely in fact. I hope you can see how glowy my face looks in the right photo. It doesn't feel greasy on the skin, it just gives of a very obvious glowy sheen. It's the formula that makes it look so glowy. If you apply colored powder over it you can definitely make it more matte, but it will still have a bit of that glowy sheen coming through. This is not for those with oily skin. More for normal, mixed or perfect for dry.

It smells so good. Sort of like a cream or body lotion smell. Very soft and clean. I love smelling it, while I apply it. The formula is very gentle and doesn't irritate my skin at all.

This is how it looks like on with full face of makeup. It costs 4.99$ (buy it here).

I am really liking this BB Cushion. If you'd ask me if I like BB or CC creams about a year ago, I would said absolutely not. Then I got L'Occitane CC cream and fell in love. Now I got this super convenient BB Cushion and I am in love again. It's just so easy to use. I thought the coverage would bother me, but I got used to it. I like to use it on my good-skin-days. It's light coverage, but still evens out your skin tone. For anything else, I always use concealer anyway. When I use powder over it, it's perfect. It's rare that products impress me so much, but I am almost positive I'll be buying a new one, when I use this one up. Such a shame that European brands haven't started doing more of these, because they are perfect to use on the go.

I also have a discount code for Born Pretty Store. You can get 10% off your order with PETRAH10 code.

* The product was sent to me for review purposes.
