Essence Brighten Up! Cushion Foundation - 10 Honey
I don't know why we don't have this product in our drugstores, because it is a part of the new Essence update. I found it on Notino and when I heard shade 10 Honey is good olive match, I had to try it. It's the most affordable cushion foundation I have tried so far and I haven't tried many to be honest. It has that cushion packaging with sponge pad that has a triangular angle to fit into those angles that are hard to reach. I wish they would have refills, but so far I haven't seen them. It's a lightweight foundation with light coverage that you can build up to a descent medium. There is some sheen to it, it's not completely matte, but I wouldn't say dewy either. My skin is much drier now in the winter and it seems to love this formula. I am very impressed with the shade 10 Honey which is actually a proper olive tone for light skin tone and those are notoriously hard to find in drugstore. It's the shade and the convenience of applying it that has made this my favorite right now. However there is only 12 grams of product in it and I can already feel I am starting to use it up. It doesn't set itself, so I don't know how this is supposed to be waterproof. I always set it with powder.
Essence Pure Nude Highlighter - 10 be my highlight
This is probably the most sophisticated high end looking highlighter in the drugstore and I am not even sure that it's still available in Slovenia. I know they have multiple shades in US, but here we only had one and I still use this one. This is the type of highlighter that will give you that expensive skin like sheen without any visible glitter. In fact some use it as a setting powder, similar to Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. I like to use it with a big brush on high point of my face for that subtle healthy glow.
Shein - Maange 5383 and Woko 96 Pro Blush Brush
I've seen these brushed from Shein being recommended by some makeup artists on Tik Tok and since I have already bought some brushed from Shein that I loved, I gave these two a try. Maange is fluffy angled brush that has soft bristles that are loosely packaged so it's great for applying blush or bronzer. I really like this one. The angle makes it super easy to apply blush. Woko 96 brush is great for an all over powder application, bronzer or blush. I like it most for apply bronzer. It has tapered bristles in a rounded shade that makes it very easy to blend the product onto the skin because of different lenghts of bristles. It's also soft, but a bit more dense than Maange so it picks up more product. Both great brushes, if you want something on a budget.
Essence Jelly Jewels Glitter Stick - 03 Golden Hour and 02 Diamond Dust
This is that new jelly texture of eyeshadows with bendable bullet and cooling effect on the skin. It's water based, so you absolutely need to keep the plastic protector on top to prevent it from drying out. I love glittery eyeshadows and those are just perfect for the upcoming season. The glitter is just big enough that gives you impact and makes you lids look wet, but not too bulky so it would look cheap.. I first got Diamond Dust which is cooler silver sparkle and later I went back for Golden Hour which is more peachy copper shade with multicolored glitter that leans warmer golden. Both have been in use a lot and will be even more in December. Apply some transitional matte color in the crease and this all over the lid and you have a very expensive look on a budget.
Essence Fix & Last Keep It Perfect Make-Up Fixing Spray With Hyaluron
I just realized I have more essence products in these month favorites than any else. What can I say, they do have some great budget friendly products. I already have their matte version of this setting spray which was great for summer, but I wanted something more hydrating for the winter. It has that hyaluronic acid in it and is water based, not alcohol so it's a nice setting powder for normal to dry skin, if you just want a super fine mist that will melt all the products together. The mister is so fine, better than some high end sprays I have.
Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil
It's rare that I'll repurchase expensive hair product these days, but this hair oil from Olaplex was so nice that I already got a backup. It's one of the thinnest hair oils that I have. I apply it on wet hair, because the heat helps with bonding those split ends and making them look healthier. It never weights my fine hair down or looks greasy. I need two drops. It has sort of a sweet yet menthol like scent which I love.
