Orange eye makeup for the summer

Hey Beauties!

If someone would ask me what is my favorite color, it would probably be orange or all versions of it, especially peach :). Orange lipstick is huge for this spring/summer and why not switch it up and use it on the eyes. I admit, I love orange and use bronze orange shades all the time. This time I wanted to try the true orange eye shadow and I think the eyes came out quite summery and hypnotizing. You decide, if you like orange on the eyes or not.

I started by applying bright orange matte eye shadow all over the lid. Keeping it away from the crease. In the crease and on the outer V, I used warm light brown eye shadow to contour the eye.

I repeated the same on the lower lid, all over orange and brown on the outer part. I added a little winged liner, just to define the eyes a bit more.

In the inner part of the eye I put a shimmery beige shade, to make them a bit brighter. You know me, I like that part on any make up look :). Finished with mascara.

Simple as that. There's really nothing difficult about this eye make up, but I think it brings a certain sultriness and sexiness of a summer to the eyes.

Now as far as the rest of the face, I used foundation, a little powder on the T-zone and bronzer on the contours and a bit all over the face. I also added a nice shimmery bronze peach blusher and beige highlighter. As far as the lipstick goes, there's a lot of choices. Mine go from a very bold combo to a more nude and subtle.

I think I like the last version the best. What about you? Would you wear orange on the eyes?

Review: Essence nude lip liner shades (11 In The Nude and 01 Soft Rose)

Hey Beauties!

Lately I've been wearing a lot of nude lipsticks and decided I really need another nude brownish lip liner. I already had Soft Rose, but I also picked up In The Nude. I think that a nude lip liner is a must. It's great to use it under nude lipsticks to prolong the longevity and it looks great on its own. Today I'll write about two shades that are very cheap, but work great.

Essence lip liners are extremely affordable. One costs 1.09 € and it contains 1 gram of product. Now the product does use up a bit quicker, because it's pretty soft and you need to sharp it a lot. But it will still last you long enough, to justify that 1 €.

The lip liners are pretty soft and buttery. Be careful if you're carrying them around the sun, because they get even softer. The application is very easy and it glides on nicely. The only problem is around the edges. If you push it too hard, it may go a bit overboard, so sharping the pencil is needed to get the precise line. It's feel nice on the lips, not too drying, although I admit, most of lip products tend to be drying on my lips. I have really dry lips, mostly. I find that it wears off nicely and it seems to stick on the lips pretty well. It's great for under lipsticks, but I love to use them on its own.

Both shades are matte and don't contain any shimmer.

01 Soft Rose is a blue toned light pink nude shade. It will look amazing on cool skin tones. It's that my lips but better shade that gives a little pop of pink to the lips.

11 In The Nude is a lot more orange toned brown nude shade. Great for warm skin tones. It looks a lot darker on my lips, than the Soft Rose. It's very warm and perfect browny nude for my skin tone.

I love wearing both shades, mostly on it's own as a lipstick substitute. If you're looking for a nude sort of lip liners, I recommend these, because they're affordable, glide on like a butter and don't overly dry out your lips. Great product Essence, now I wish there was even bigger shade range :).

Review: Essence Beach Cruisers Liquid Eyeliner (02 keep calm and go to the beach!)

Hey Beauties!

I reviewed the bronze liner from Essence's LE Beach Cruisers, a few days ago. Since then, I couldn't stop thinking, why didn't I get the other shade as well?! To my luck, I found the other shade as well. Yey!

I wouldn't go too much in depth, because the products is similar to the bronzy shade. You can find the review here

This shade is called 02 keep calm and go to the beach! It's a green blue shade. It's more glittery, than the bronze shade and it also stains the skin, like it's written on the product itself. Nothing major, but you may still have some line on the lid, after removing it. It goes away over the night, so it's not that horrible. It's very long lasting. I find that you have to wait for it to dry a little and try not to get it transfer all over the lid, because it's hard to remove it. Once it's dry, it'll stay like that.

The difference between the bronze and this shade is that this one stains a little, it's a lot more glittery and a bit less pigmented. I did need to apply it two or three times to get it really opaque. With the bronze shade I also need at least two applications - but with this one you may need three.

The shade is really pretty and if you like it, I recommend you buy it. It's cheap and it's really good :).

Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter - 096 Macaroon

Hey Beauties!

One of my all time favorite lip products are the Revlon's lip butters. Unfortunately, I only have one shade. I have it in the shade Creme Brulee, which is a really nice nude shade. But I had to get a more vibrant shade, still something that I can wear on a daily bases, but just not too nude.

I chose the shade called 096 Macaroon. Since the packaging is berry pink, I thought this wouldn't work on me. If you haven't notice I don't wear pink lipsticks, because they just din't suit me. But the shade inside surprised me. It's hard to describe it, but it looks a bit like a berry color, but with a red tone to it. It also has a really small gold shimmer in it. This shade is so pretty and natural looking. It just gives that extra color to my naturally paler lips. I thin it's a perfect my but better lips shade for me.

The packaging is plastic with a shiny silver inside. It looks really nice and pretty overall. Now, I don't really like the fact that there's a very small part that you need to hold in order to open up the lipstick. I don't like that about Maybelline lipsticks as well. It's just too small for my hands.

I bought it for 10.99 € (for 2.55 grams), but the prices vary, depending on where you buy it. It's not the most cheap lip product, but I would say it's worth it, if you're going to be wearing it on a daily basis.

I like the formula of their lip butters, because they give enough color and they still moisturize my lips. It's a like a mixture of lipstick and lip balm. The color is buildable and if you wear it all day and just reapply it, you can get a really nice strong color on the lips. The smell is very subtle, something like vanilla. Nothing unpleasant.

There's nothing bad to say about it, except I wish I had almost every shade of their lip butters range:).

Are you also in love with Revlon's lip butters? Which is your favorite shade?
