I was so excited to see Maybelline come out with their own version of brow pen. My favorite was NYX Lift & Snatch! Brow Pen, but now Maybelline Build-a-Brow has definitely become my new favorite brow pen. Maybelline did a great job with this one.

Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Inks aren't new product. They've been out for quite some time. I love their mattes, because they are super long lasting and I even use them on my clients when I do makeup. New Vinyl version got a lot of attention on social media as well and I had to try it. It's just as long lasting, but in a shiny finish that looks glossy and stays that way for a long time.

Bronzer gives my face dimension and color that makes me look alive. You'll know what I'm talking about, if you're on the pale spectrum as well. I have heard only great things of Maybelline City Bronzer and I finally decided to get a shade to see how it goes.

I first heard about this liner from Mateja and when I saw it in the store, I decided to give it a try. As much as I love liquid liners, it's sometimes too much work to put on. Sometimes I just prefer a pencil which smudges quickly, gives me just enough definition and I'm already out the door. This new Maybelline Tattoo Liner is one of the better ones from the drugstore that I have tried in a while.

Does anyone remember Catrice having gel liner in a pot? That one was my favorite gel liner. It stayed in place, was black and so affordable. I was so sad, when they decided to discontinue it. I wanted another gel liner, because it gives you that matte black finish and it's great for creating thinner lines or more creative eye makeup. I have heard a lot of good reviews of Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless foundation and although I also heard some saying it's not matte, I still got it because of the shade. It was one of those rare really light drugstore foundations. Sadly, this has really disappointed me.
Review: Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara - Brown

Black version of Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara is my favorite mascara ever (so far). I accidentally grabbed a brown version while I was shopping in France, so I finally tried it out. It's just as lovely as a black version.
Luckily in France they have the same plastic packaging around it as in USA. I find it much more consumer friendly. There have been multiple stories of people opening up mascaras in our drugstores and then putting them back, like nothing happened. It's so disrespectful and unhygienic. I'm a bit put off from buying mascaras in our drugstores, because I just can't know if it has been opened yet or not.
The packaging of the mascara is the same as a black version, mauve pink colored with black details. In it is 9.5 ml of product and this one cost me 9.57€. I believe the price in Slovenia is around 11€. I might be wrong, it has been a while since I last bought it here.
The brush has a curved wand just as the black version. I like the two sides. One with longer silicon bristles gives you more volume and packs on more products, while the shorter side defines the lashes and keeps them clump free. The brush is one of the reasons why I love this mascara so much. It just separates so well and still gives them enough volume.
I took a photo of both wands. The brown version as well as the black one. It's hard to notice any difference at all, but if you look closely, you'll see that the brown version is slightly lighter and it has a bit warmer tone to it. The color Brown is actually more like a very dark taupe brown color. It's not nearly as light or as warm, as I expected it to be.
On the actual lashes you can't even see that much of a difference. It's only that the black version is more intense and makes your eyes look darker. I love pairing this brown shade with brown eyeliners or more warm toned makeup looks.
Formula is the same as with the black one. Not too dry nor too wet. The more it sort of gets older, the drier becomes and more volume it gives. I like it because it gives you volume, but never looks clumpy. Definition is one of priorities for me. It also holds the curl really well. It drops just slightly after applying it - like with most mascaras, but then it holds the curl through the whole day. I never have problems with smudging and it lasts through sweat too. Which is great for a mascara that isn't even waterproof.
On the photos you can see my curled lashes, then it's my lashes with one coat and on the last photo I have two heavy coats on.
At first I thought I'm not going to even use this brown version. For some reason I expected it to be very light brown and that would just look weird with my dark brown eyes. But it turns out, it's a very dark version of brown and it goes so well with a brown eye liner. Just looks slightly lighter in color and more subtle. The formula and wand is the same as with the black version. Since I love the black version so much, I also love this one. If we had this color in Slovenia, I'd probably even buy it again.
Review: Maybelline Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick Contour & Highlight (01 Light)

I got Maybelline Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick Contour & Highlight in 01 Light a long time ago, somewhere in June. I've never owned a cream contour products and I wanted to see if it was easier to use and less obvious.
Stick comes in a plastic packaging with transparent lid. My lid already cracked, because the plastic is thin.
In it is 7 grams of product and it costs 7.99€. Because it's a cream product for contour and highlight, you'll no doubt go through this quickly, so I'm not sure if it's worth the price. If this was a blush, which I don't use as much and not all over the face, I would be fine with that.
It's a cream product in a stick form. One half is for highlighting and other half is for contouring. Application is easy as long as you use both sides. You just lay it against your cheeks and swipe it on. The problem begins when you use one side more than the other. Then the side that you don't use a lot starts to interfere in the other side. This way you'll also get some highlight on the face when you just want to swipe on contour, like I did. I initially wanted this for the contouring and I didn't use highlighter as much.
Texture is creamy and it applies smoothly. It's not too greasy, but it definitely isn't matte. The finish is a bit shiny and hair sticks to it, which means you'll need to powder it.
I always apply it straight from the bullet and then blend it with brush, makeup sponge or just fingers. For a quick on the go application, you can definitely blend this with fingers. It blends with ease. Makeup sponge tends to "eat" a lot of product and you get a very light wash of product. Brush works great with it, because it blends, but doesn't take too much product off the skin.
I got the lightest shade, 01 Light. Contour color is a lighter brown with grey undertone. There's just enough grey in it to give you a natural shade effect, but won't make you look dead. Highlight is just slightly warm toned beige. It doesn't have any prominent yellow undertone, but it's definitely not cool toned. It's lighter than my skin tone and it does highlight selected areas, although it's really subtle. Contour gives you bigger effect than highlight does.
One layer gives you a very natural effect, almost not visible, if you blend it too much. You can build it up, but it blends so quickly, that you can't make it look too done. This might be a blessing for those that tend to overdue their contour application.
It's in general a very natural effect. I bought it for those almost no makeup days, when I love to wear cream products. This gives me just a light definition. You can also use it as a base for powder products.
It fades through the day. If you set it with powder products, it has a better staying power, but still fades though the day.
I love to use it under my cheekbone, around hair line and on my jaw. It also works good on the nose, but I would apply it with a small blending brush instead of going in straight from the bullet. If you're nose is straight, you can do it straight from the bullet, but mine needs more precision.
The product is creamy enough and blends well, almost too well. It gives you a very natural effect and you can't really build it up to an intense look. It's definitely for those of you that are afraid of contour, because it looks very natural. I love the colors. They are nice for fair skin tones. Contour has just enough grey in it and highlight is also lighter than my skin tone, but it doesn't leave as much impact on the skin.
For those of you who want some more definition, I wouldn't recommend this. My problem is also with the half and half product sides. If you plan to use only one side, don't bother getting this one. There's not a lot of product in it. If you'll be using it every day, you'll go through this quickly. I like the effect for my personal preference, but would probably only buy a contour stick in the future. Since there is so many other brands coming out with these, I wouldn't buy this one again.

In June I have been trying out a lot of new products and a lot of those ended up in my monthly favorites. A lot of my makeup favorites have been similar to my May 2016 Favorites, so I didn't want to repeat myself this month.
Lysaskin Laboratories Atolys Cleansing and Relipidifying Gel
On SummerMBeauty event we got some personalized products according to our skin description. I got this cleansing gel which is for dry skin and skin with atopic tendencies. I still have occasional problems with my skin allergy and products that are targeted toward sensitive skin usually work great with my skin. This is clear gel which feels super gentle on the skin. It creates gentle foam and washes the face without stripping it of its natural moisture. It has seriously impressed me and I will definitely do a separate review on it. Plantae Rose Hip Fruit + Seed Serum
Rose hip oils is probably one of the best widely used oils. It's pretty much good for all skins. It has various benefits and is great for dry skin, aging skin and perfect for treating damaged skin or getting rid of hyper pigmentation. My first rose hip oil was from Kahne. Initially, I thought that this was going to be serum, so lighter and not oily, but it's actually thinned out, a bit more liquid version of pure rose hip oil. I use this at night and my skin in the morning is well moisturized, smooth and just looks healthy. This is perfect for summer, since we tend to get a lot of sun spots or for treating sun burns as well. Full review of this will be on my blog soon. In Slovenia you can get it here.
H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher - Apricot
H&M blushes have really impressed me with their quality and especially shade range. I already have Brown Sugar which is brownish peach shade. Apricot was on sale and of course I couldn't resist it after reading about it on Kvinatopia. Apricot is light peachy almost a bit pinky warm shade. It's lighter and a lot peachier than Brown Sugar. This one, as well, has that beautiful satin finish to it. I think I definitely need more of their shades. I love how most of their shades seem kind of muted, light and not typically bright as most blushes in drugstores.
Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls - Pink Bronze
I already have a review of these here. They are light peach shimmery pearls that I've been loving as a blush. It gives a nice luminous finish and is light enough to make your skin look slightly glowy and almost a bit bronzed, if you're light like me. This is the type of product that you can put all over the skin when you're in a hurry and it would instantly give you some dimension and glow.
Maybelline Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick Contour & Highlight - 01 Light
Finding shimmery stick bronzer and highlighter is not as hard as finding matte stick contour that is affordable. Especially in our drugstores, I find that the offer on these is very limited. I was so happy to see the lightest shade in our store (finally something light!). It's easier to use than it looks. You put one side against your cheeks and draw and then you turn it around and draw the other shade. This blend out like a dream, isn't too greasy and the shades are actually light enough for fair skin tones. I don't care much about highlight, but the contour is great. I will also do a full review on it.
Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad - Sun Washed Blooms
Shade 3 in particular, is the one that I'm mentioning here. It's one of the prettiest matte fuchsia shades that I've seen in a while. I feel like Avon stepped up their game with matte eye shadows and they are more pigmented than in some previous quads. I really like this shade, because I love purple eye shadows. Most of them are usually cool toned, very blue based and this one is a nice exception. Review of this palette will come soon.
Avon Glow Kajalstick - Warm Sand
I've already talked about these kajalstick here. Shade Warm Sand has the best inner corner highlight shade for my personal taste. It's light peach shade with lost of shimmer in it. I've been using this a lot this month. Black matte on the other side is just as good and I've been doing my eyeliner with pens a lot. For some reason, I can't be bother with full on liquid liner in summer months. Maybe because it can look really harsh and I prefer pens for a more natural look.
Belweder Lip Balm Stick - Melissa, Green Tea, Propolis
A few days ago I posted about these natural Belweder lip balms and the green tea scent was definitely my favorite. In the regular stick form that is, because I found it to be a bit more nourishing than other egg like versions. As you can see, I've almost used it up. The scent is just such a nice refreshment from all those usual sweet fruity scents and I really like the formula for daily hydration, especially in summer months. It's not too greasy, but not too light.
Avon Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss - Rose Reflection
Avon recently came out with four lip gloss shades that have shimmery particles in it. I admit, I was intrigued looking at them in the catalog, because some seemed really metallic. The shades actually look very different in real life and I'll probably post a full review of them. Shade Rose Reflection impressed me the most and that is because it has the most golden sheen out of all other shades. The base is transparent pink, but shimmer in it is gold. I've been loving putting this one over lip stains or light lipsticks for added shine and especially warmth of golden shimmer. You can see me wearing it over mauve lipstick here. In the summer I always love a good shiny lip. Mattes can sometimes look too overdone in hot summery days.
Ebelin Professional Precision Make Up Blender
I didn't even know that Ebelin came out with another, better makeup sponge version. I saw how soft it was on Maestraparokeets Instagram and decided to try it out. It's in fact miles away from their other versions that I talked about here. This one is a lot softer and it blends like a dream. I also find that it cleans up better than the other version. Don't really understand why they decided to glue together three different foam colors in one blender, but fine. I just hope that it will last and won't get too damaged because of its softness.
Avon Makeup Setting Spray
I've been using this like there's no tomorrow. In Slovenia the weather this month has been proper summer. It's hot and my makeup is always luminous and dewy, whether I want it or not. This setting spray is the only thing that keeps my makeup from running off of my face. It definitely helps to prolong the wear of makeup. I think I must be spraying too much of it on my face, because it definitely feels like a heavier layer and it even tightens my skin a bit. But you know, better safe than sorry.
Avon Little Black Dress Eau Fraiche and Avon Little Red Dress
My fragrance choice for this month are those two Avon Little Dress versions. Little Black Dress Eau Fraiche is for really hot days, since it's a slight bit fresher and greener, but still very much in my sweet family. On those not super hot days, I've been loving Little Red Dress, because it's a lot sweeter and fruitier. I really like these and they are not too strong for the summer, well at least if you're sweet kind of lover like me. I already wrote review of them here.

April has been a month of many new discoveries and some rediscoveries. I feel like I have been testing a lot of products as well as found some new favorites, which are in this post.
Avon Anew Essential Youth Maximising Serum
This serum has replaced my Dr. Sheller's Jojoba Oil & Schisandra Soothing Intensive Serum, which I have been using all the time as a serum that calms down any irritations. Avon's does just that, but smells way nicer. It has almost mandarin like sweet smell. It's in a light runny gel form and I like how soft it makes my skin. I also feel like it helps with irritation and slightly moisturizes the skin.
DIY BB Cushion
I made this BB cushion and you can find how here. I've been really using it a lot this month, because it's just so easy to use. I also really like the cushion puff, which makes it so easy to blend. I use the puff to blend out concealer as well. It's a multi purpose product for me. Seriously one of the most useful packaging.
Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer 005 Light Natural
Shade 005 is a new addition to their range and I have a review here. It's one of the lightest and cheapest concealers. That being said it also has nice coverage as well as being moisturizing. If that's not enough for you, it's waterproof and lasts really well. I love this lighter shade which is perfect for my fair complexion. I can even highlight my under eye area with it.
Kiko Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter 100 Gold
I don't know why I haven't posted a review of this yet. I've been neglecting it through the winter, but now that it's a bit warmer, I like this, because it looks so natural. I promise to write full review soon. It's the most gorgeous champagne shade, which blends into the skin seamlessly, looks natural, but still very glowy.
Essence LE Lights of Orient Bronzer 01 Sunkissed Beauty
This bronzer is one of the lightest warmer bronzers I own. It has such a unique finish, which is almost a bit satin like. It has very small shimmer in it, which makes it look so natural and not flat. In the center it's light gold highlighter which I almost used up. I'm kind of sad, so now I try to avoid it and just use bronzer around it. I have a review here.
Freedom Makeup Today's Tonight Pro Decadence Eyeshadow Palette
In all honesty I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it is. The shades are very creamy and wet like, which makes them pigmented and smooth. The very shimmery ones are almost cream eye shadows. All the mattes have just as good pigmentation and they all blend out nicely. One fault is that they do fade through the day, but damn, that is some really nice palette. I also like shades more then I expected too. They don't look like much in the pan, but on the skin, they are really nice. I'll write a full review soon.
Essence LE Lights of Orient Eyebrow Shaper 01 Sunkissed Beauty
I've already mentioned that I sometimes get bold spots in my brows. I think this usually happens in spring and fall, like I'm changing my mane or something. Anyway, I've been on a search for brow products that nicely fill in my blind spots and don't fade away. This eye pencil definitely does a good job. It's on a waxy side, which means it really sticks to the skin and fills in any gaps. I also like the shade, which is more of a medium brown, but on a warmer side. I have a review of it here.
Freedom Makeup Pro Brow Pomade in Caramel Brown
Another amazingly good product for brows. This is really creamy, almost a bit too much. This means that you can really fill in all the gaps or just use it lightly to darken your brows. Because it's a cream it needs a bit of time to set, but once it sets it doesn't move. It has an amazing lasting power. I also really like the shade of it, which depends on how much I put on. If I apply it lightly and diffuse it a bit, it's light brown, otherwise it's a bit darker brown with warm almost yellowish undertone, which again matches my current hair color well. I'll also do a separate review of this.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara in Intense Black
You know the feeling when you finally start to use your favorite product again and you think to yourself, why did I ever use something else? This is my holly grail mascara. I bought it in this intense black version just because it was there and I thought I might try something else. I am not one of those people that gets fussy about their mascara having to be the blackest black version. Normal black is fine for me. I also don't notice any major blackness to it. It's just as good as I remember it. It defines, adds volume, a bit of length and doesn't clump the lashes together. In the beginning it's a bit runny. I like it best when it dries up a bit.
Born Pretty Store Panda Smooth Liquid Eye Liner
This is a really nice eye liner pen that seems to last for ages. It's a bit too runny for my taste and it does leave a shiny finish, but it's also really pigmented and the tip is always saturated, which makes it a great eye liner. It also has that kind of thin brush like tip, which is definitely my favorite, because you can be very precise with application as well as draw on the thinnest lines possible. If this was a bit thicker in consistency, it would be perfect eye liner. The panda design is also super cute.
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick in Posh Petal and Avon 3D Plumping Lipstick in Bitten
I love wearing those two in combination. I apply Posh Petal, which is cool toned almost pastel pink all over my lips and then use Bitten, which is bright fuchsia purple, in the inner corner or at the outer edges to darken it a bit. Bitten is just as stunning on it's own. I've been really liking these cool toned fuchsia shades lately. You can see how it looks like here.
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte in Coral Fever and NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel
Another amazing combination, which I've been really liking. I have been applying Coral Fever (warm orange red) in the center of the lips, almost as a stain and then I used Apple Strudel lip gloss (peach baby pink) all over my lips and sort of create an ombre shiny look. I've used the same combination in my Soft Coral Spring Makeup.
Avon Gel Finish Nail Enamel in Sheer Shimmer
This is without a doubt my favorite nail polish shade of this month. It's shimmery pastel pink, which almost looks a bit white. For some reason I've been really liking pastel nail polishes this spring, especially pink and lavender ones. I also really like that this formula has small shimmer in it and that it lasts on my nails well. I have a review of it here.
Avon Skin So Soft Golden Bliss Silky Hand & Body Souffle
I've been really good with my body care lately. Actually all through the winter and I'm trying to moisturize as much as I can. I have naturally a bit drier skin on my body, but it's nothing I can't handle. This is such a nice product for body. It's described as souffle and it's very thick white cream, which still has nice slip to it, so you don't have hard time applying it. It also contains andiroba oil, which makes souffle a bit smoother and creates a nice layer on the skin. In general this soaks into the skin really quickly, but still has a tiny layer of grease on top. It has a unique smell, which is supposedly mix of lavender, fig and vanilla. In all honesty I can't smell any lavender (trust me I would know, because I hate lavender smell). I think it's more of a fig and vanilla mixture, which is very unique. It keeps my skin moisturized and soft.
L'Oreal Elvital Fibralogy Thickening Shampoo and L'Oreal Elseve Fibralogy Thickening Conditioner
I'm not sure why one is called Elseve and other is Elvital, I think they must have changed the names or something, because I have these two for a really long time. Thickening line is targeted to those with thin hair, which mine definitely is. These two products in combinations are the only shampoo and conditioner that I've tried so far that actually give some volume to my hair. I feel like they give my hair some texture, which makes my hair look more voluminous. It's suppose to give you thicker hair look and it definitely gives you that added texture. But it also means that they are not the most moisturizing products if you have very dry hair. The smell is great, somewhat salon like. I think I'll repurchase these, because I really like them for those days when I want some texture to my otherwise very flat hair.

I have been really liking Snapchat lately. You can follow me under adjustingbeauty. I have been posting a lot of my photo "worthy" food, sometimes even outfit details and lots of makeup. I find this platform great to post thing as they happen and to share everything that doesn't go into my Instagram feed.
Fun Run 2
This is a game that I've been playing on my phone and I have been obsessed with it. You can choose among different characters, I have a fox and then it's basically running show and trying to get to the end first. On the way you can pick up some "tools" like magnets to pull your opponent back or saw to kill them. Now it sounds a bit violet, but it's actually kind of funny and the characters are kind of cute. You can also dress them up with different outfits, shoes, accessories and such. I was never really into games, but I really like this one. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes fun.
Review: Maybelline Color Show The Blushed Nudes - 447 Dusty Rose

Our weather seems more like it's fall rather than spring. But I just can't wait for more sun and pretty flowers outside my window. My mentality is already in spring and so are my purchases. In Austrian DM I found one of Maybelline Color Show limited edition's called The Blushed Nudes. In the edition are 4 colored polishes and one glittery top coat. They are all in that mauvy shade range. I chose pastel pink lavender shade, because it seemed the most unique.
Nail polish comes in their usual glass bottle with black top. In it is 7 ml of product and it costs 2.95€.
This range has a very pretty lace design on the top. Nice touch.
It has a standard straight cut brush, which is just the right width.
The formula of Color Show nail polishes is in general a bit more creamy and a bit more opaque. Colorama I find very thin and almost a bit transparent, so I prefer Color Show range, which of course we don't have in Slovenia.
As with most light nail polish shades, you'll need two coats to completely cover the nail. It dries fairy quick and this range usually lasts well on my nails. For about 3 - 4 days, which is a lot for my weak nails.
Shade 447 Dusty Rose almost looks like dirty light pastel pink, but with a touch of lavender. Unique shade in my collection.
I love this shade so much and want to wear it again and again. It's just a really pretty pastel nude dirty pink. It's also not too warm nor too cool. I just wish Maybelline would start selling Color Show nail polishes in our country. Those are one of my favorite drugstore nail polishes.
