I was trying to find a good replacement for discontinued L.O.V. Aura Glow Powder which is one of my favorite highlighters from the drugstore. I got Kiko Milano Glow Fusion Powder Highlighter in their lightest shade and I have to say this is very similar to the type of glow it has. Obviously the shade isn't the same, but I was going more for the overall subtle sheen which this one has.
Packaging
It comes in a plastic silver packaging with a mirror and magnetic closing. Kiko always has great luxury looking packaging for their price and this one is just that. There is 5 grams of product in it and it costs around 13€.
Texture
It's a very soft powder that almost feels a bit creamy, finely milled and it has quite a bit of glow, even though there is no proper visible shimmer in it. That's just the kind of highlighter I was looking for, something that gives you that expensive healthy sheen on the skin, but no visible shimmer. You can apply it very lightly or you can build up the intensity by just applying some more.
Colors
I believe there are three shades available. 01 Brilliant Champagne is the lightest shade. It looks very pale champagne in the pan, but it has yellow golden sheen to it on the skin. This would work for pale and light skin tones, it would look too stark and ashy on medium and dark skin.
Comparison
I compared it to L.O.V. PERFECTitude Aura Glow Powder which is baked formula with marble design. This means every product is unique and you can get different color variations based on which marble pattern you get. Some have more darker tones in it, some more pale. Mine is more of a medium champagne to gold and it looks darker than Kiko and a bit more champagne peachy toned compared to Kiko which is more yellow golden. Kiko's also has more color payoff than L.O.V. It can look a bit too pigmented, so applying it once with a light hand looks best.
Performance
You can apply a very light layer for that really healthy natural sheen on the skin or you can build it up to look quite intense. I prefer it with fluffier bigger brush just lightly applied all over the highest points of the face. It lasts all day, if you don't touch it or sleep on your face. Sadly, it looks much prettier in person than it photographs.
This is really nice formula, because it gives that really subtle sheen on the skin that looks expensive and not obvious. I wish Kiko had a bigger shade range with more undertones and different colors of shine not just yellow gold. Especially for the lightest shade in the range. In my opinion it could be even a bit less pigmented, but that's me being picky. The packaging is perfect as always with Kiko and with the price this will actually last you a long time. Worth checking out, if you like that very subtle sheen and don't like the usual metallic bold highlighters.
