I am a big fan of Korean skincare in general. You'll find many reviews of Korean products on my blog. OOTD Beauty is a brand I wasn't familiar with, but as soon as I read their ingredients list, I thought those were the kind of formulas that I would love. And I was right. There isn't a single product I have tried that I didn't like.

Hada Labo Tokyo is Japanese skincare brand available in our DM drugstores. I have had some of their product already, but other ranges not Tokyo. In Slovenia we can get four ranges of products - white, red, lift and premium. They target slightly different concerns, but they all focus on hydration with different types of hyaluronic acids.

Vinosource range from Caudalie has been recently revamped with new design and more recyclable packaging. I have to say the new pink design is lovely. Caudalie is known for grapes as one of the main ingredients in their ranges. I remember their Beauty Elixir water being iconic back in the days and every makeup artist used it.

If there's one product from Colourpop that is legendary, it's their Super Shock Shadows. Creamy mousse like formula that becomes powdery on the skin and great choices of colors is something that anyone can use in their collection. I tend to buy new shades whenever Colourpop has free shipping and recently I added two to my collection.

I've almost always used some sort of Nivea SPF for the body (especially by the sea), because I like their packaging and formulas. So far, I haven't tried their face SPFs and since I do use SPF on my face daily in spring and summer time, I was excited to try out two of their new releases. This is one of those products that will definitely be used up and is very much a necessity in my routine.

A while ago I saw some H&M Beauty products on sale and this cream blusher caught my eye. I love a cream blush for those more natural, using all creams kind of looks, but most drugstore brands usually have bright colored cream blushes and I always wanted something more wearable. That's why I got H&M Pure Velvet Cream Blusher in the most beautiful shade called Cameo Brown.
Review: Catrice Liquid Metal Longlasting Cream Eyeshadow - 020 Champagne Shower

I love a good shimmery lid and finding liquid shimmery eyeshadows can be a process. Especially, because you can't really get these among drugstore brands. Catrice currently came out with their new Liquid Metal Longlasting Cream Eyeshadows. I had my eye on these before they came out and when I tested it in the store, I was convinced.
These come in a lip gloss kind of packaging. The tube is plastic and you can see shade that is inside. Details are silver which corresponds with the metal theme.
In doesn't say how much product is inside (or maybe mine rubbed off - probably around 4 ml) and it costs 4.29€.
You can choose among 5 shades. I got 020 Champagne Shower, which is warm champagne. They also have a more classic champagne shade, pink, taupe and mauve. I wish they had more shades. I especially miss some warm toned bronzed brown. I'd also love to have some peachier shades in the range. I assume Catrice only came out with basic shades to see how well it sells and hopefully they'll add more.
It has fluffy sponge applicator that is actually flat and straight. You can apply this shadow straight from the applicator which gives you really opaque color. I also love to use it as a pop of shimmer on the lid, so I usually just apply some on my finger and press it on the lid. Applicator serves as a flat brush, so you still need some kind of blending brush to blend it out. You can also use this as a cut crease product straight from the applicator.
The shade of it is like a warm peach toned champagne. It's very light shade.
Texture of it is like a thicker liquid that you can sheer down or just apply straight from the applicator, which makes it opaque in one coat. It dries down and doesn't stay creamy.
This has amazing pigmentation. If you apply it straight from the applicator you get super shiny metallic finish. The more you blend it out, the sheerer it becomes and it looks more shimmery than metallic.
It dries fairly quick so work in sections. Once it dries, it starts to flake off, if you disturb it too much. I advise you to apply it from the applicator and quickly blend the edges with blending brush. You can build up the color as long as you do it while it's still wet. The drier it becomes, the more you'll just get it to flake off, if you try to apply more on top of it. However, when this is dry, it won't move. This stays on the lid for the whole day and doesn't transfer. It is not waterproof.
If you have a lot of folds on the lid, I also advise you to wait a bit to dry and then look up. Otherwise this can get into those tiny lines and can look a bit crinkly. The heavier you apply it, the more textured it looks and the more bumpy it looks.
Here I applied it on the center to give it a pop of metallic sheen. As you can see I've applied it heavier on the center of the lid and you can see that it has more texture there. But definitely gives a lot of that metallic shine.
I also tried it in another look where I almost created a soft crease look. I applied it straight from the applicator and created a soft edge between the lid and the crease.
You can also use this all over the lid. You just apply it on the lid and blend it out quickly for the easiest shimmery look ever. I would do this with darker shades, but since this one is light, I use it more as a pop in the center.
These actually remind me of Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows. The difference is that Stila's have glitter in them. Catrice's look just metallic with no visible glitter. Oh I do hope that Catrice seems the opportunity here and makes their version of Stila's glittery eyeshadows. I would definitely be the one buying all the shades, since glitter shadows are so hard to find, especially good ones that stick to the lid.
I love these shadows, because they are pigmented, give a metallic shiny look to the lids and don't move the whole day. It is a bit harder to work with them, because you have to be quick and building up the color can result in some flakiness. They look really pretty as a metallic sheen or as a more shimmery shade, if you blend it out more. The applicator also works great. The only thing that I would wish, is for the Catrice to come out with more shades. I also wish they made versions with actual glitter in these formulas. Who else would love that?
Review: Maybelline Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick Contour & Highlight (01 Light)

I got Maybelline Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick Contour & Highlight in 01 Light a long time ago, somewhere in June. I've never owned a cream contour products and I wanted to see if it was easier to use and less obvious.
Stick comes in a plastic packaging with transparent lid. My lid already cracked, because the plastic is thin.
In it is 7 grams of product and it costs 7.99€. Because it's a cream product for contour and highlight, you'll no doubt go through this quickly, so I'm not sure if it's worth the price. If this was a blush, which I don't use as much and not all over the face, I would be fine with that.
It's a cream product in a stick form. One half is for highlighting and other half is for contouring. Application is easy as long as you use both sides. You just lay it against your cheeks and swipe it on. The problem begins when you use one side more than the other. Then the side that you don't use a lot starts to interfere in the other side. This way you'll also get some highlight on the face when you just want to swipe on contour, like I did. I initially wanted this for the contouring and I didn't use highlighter as much.
Texture is creamy and it applies smoothly. It's not too greasy, but it definitely isn't matte. The finish is a bit shiny and hair sticks to it, which means you'll need to powder it.
I always apply it straight from the bullet and then blend it with brush, makeup sponge or just fingers. For a quick on the go application, you can definitely blend this with fingers. It blends with ease. Makeup sponge tends to "eat" a lot of product and you get a very light wash of product. Brush works great with it, because it blends, but doesn't take too much product off the skin.
I got the lightest shade, 01 Light. Contour color is a lighter brown with grey undertone. There's just enough grey in it to give you a natural shade effect, but won't make you look dead. Highlight is just slightly warm toned beige. It doesn't have any prominent yellow undertone, but it's definitely not cool toned. It's lighter than my skin tone and it does highlight selected areas, although it's really subtle. Contour gives you bigger effect than highlight does.
One layer gives you a very natural effect, almost not visible, if you blend it too much. You can build it up, but it blends so quickly, that you can't make it look too done. This might be a blessing for those that tend to overdue their contour application.
It's in general a very natural effect. I bought it for those almost no makeup days, when I love to wear cream products. This gives me just a light definition. You can also use it as a base for powder products.
It fades through the day. If you set it with powder products, it has a better staying power, but still fades though the day.
I love to use it under my cheekbone, around hair line and on my jaw. It also works good on the nose, but I would apply it with a small blending brush instead of going in straight from the bullet. If you're nose is straight, you can do it straight from the bullet, but mine needs more precision.
The product is creamy enough and blends well, almost too well. It gives you a very natural effect and you can't really build it up to an intense look. It's definitely for those of you that are afraid of contour, because it looks very natural. I love the colors. They are nice for fair skin tones. Contour has just enough grey in it and highlight is also lighter than my skin tone, but it doesn't leave as much impact on the skin.
For those of you who want some more definition, I wouldn't recommend this. My problem is also with the half and half product sides. If you plan to use only one side, don't bother getting this one. There's not a lot of product in it. If you'll be using it every day, you'll go through this quickly. I like the effect for my personal preference, but would probably only buy a contour stick in the future. Since there is so many other brands coming out with these, I wouldn't buy this one again.
Review: Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow (36 Golden Mauve)

Cream eyeshadows are the best thing in life, when you're in a rush or just don't like spending too much time on your eye makeup. They can be used as a base, as well as a topper on top of other eyeshadows. I've already purchased a few Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows before. Recently my small family got another member.
Eyeshadows come in a stick pencil form. These are easy to use and great for travelling with. Stick has matte black plastic packaging. Bottom has the same shade as it is inside the packaging. It's no sharp pencil. You just swirl the bottom and it comes out. You'll get 1.64 grams of product. It costs 6.90€, but the shade that I got was on sale and it was 3.40€.
These sticks have creamy formula that goes on with ease. It needs a bit to dry down completely, but when it does, it doesn't move all day. I've found that pigmentation varies a bit depending on the shade. This 36 Golden Mauve is a bit sheerer, but you can definitely build it up. When you blend it out, it looses intensity, so you need to build it up slowly to get full opaque color.
On my eyes it doesn't get into crease. I have to be careful when I apply it, though. Because I have slightly hooded eyes and it may get stuck in the crease, if I don't look down until it dries up. That can easily be fixed by just blending it. I also don't recommend piling on a lot of coats. Especially with this shade, because it doesn't look that good anymore.
It says to last up to 8 hours and it definitely does. It stays on my lids for the whole day without a problem.
Onto the actual shade, which is 36 Golden Mauve. I have been eyeing this shade for a while now. Sale was perfect opportunity to finally get it. It's a medium mauve shade, which looks almost a bit cool toned. It also has lots of golden shimmer (almost glitter) in it, which makes it warm and gives it a very sparkly sheen.
On me it almost looks a bit more pink than it does in the stick. I adore golden sparkles in it. As a shade on its own, it can be a bit too girly for my liking. That's why I love to combine it with other shades or just use it as a pop of color on the center of the lid.
I already reviewed shades 06 Golden Brown and 21 Passion Fruit here. 37 Burgundy I bought a while back, but somehow forgot to write a review for it. I am waiting for fall, when I'll be using it a bit more. 36 Golden Mauve is as sparkly as 06 Golden Brown. 06 has silver glitter and 36 has gold glitter. 21 Passion Fruit and 37 Burgundy are both shades that look matte, but have sheen to them, without any visible glitter in them.
Maybelline Colour Tattoos have been my obsession for a while. I never liked their pot concept, because it always got messy. Especially if I applied them with fingers. Kiko's Long Lasting Sticks are a bit more long lasting, don't crease and come in a convenient stick form. I love these on their own for when I'm in a rush. 36 Golden Mauve is lovely mauve shade with gold sheen that can be worn for any occasion, but would probably look best paired with other shades. At least that's how I would wear it.
Review: Kiko Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter 100 Gold

I bought this highlighter a long time ago and kind of forgot about it. Since spring has been all about the glow, I've dusted it off and started using it again. It's such a nice natural, yet still shiny highlighter and I am in love with it right now.
It comes in a black matte plastic stick form. The writing is silver. Cap closes with a little click and it's well made.
It costs 8.50€ and in it is 10 grams of product.
You just twist the bottom half and the product comes out. Sometimes it doesn't want to fall back down, so I have to manually push it down. That is the only negative thing about it.
Kiko has two different shades 100 Gold and 101 Rose. I obviously went with 100 Gold.
Gold is actually a nice champagne shade. It's not too warm nor cool. Something like this would look good on pretty much most skin tones. I would say it has a bit of a peachier base with almost silver reflecting particles. Shimmer in it is very small, but is visible, if you apply only one layer. The more you layer it the more uniformed it looks.
With one swipe you get a sheer, but shiny layer that blends into the skin nicely. I find that this works good on top of foundations, but you need to blend out the edges, especially if you swipe it on straight from the bullet, it might leave streaks.
Pigmentation is good, but it has some sheerness to it. If you layer it, you can get really intense highlight that still looks a part of your skin.
It's a balm like texture that has enough slip to apply on the skin, but doesn't feel greasy. It has no scent.
It's also very long lasting for a creamy product. I wear it all through the day, it just looses intensity and starts to look more like skin, when it mixes with my natural oils.
Demonstration shows you how my skin looks like with just foundation, swipe of highlighter straight from the bullet and blended out.
It gives a really nice glow to the skin, which is definitely not as intense as with powder highlighters and somewhat looks like skin. You can still build it up to a pretty nice intense glow. On the photo you can see it on tops of my cheeks and above the arch of my brow.
I love how practical this is to carry with you as well as applying. You just swipe it on and blend it out with fingers. It also looks like a part of your skin, especially when you skin's natural oils come through and it still gives a pretty noticeable glow.
I also compared it to my other highlighters and I have to say Kiko's is the most natural looking shade of them all. The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is obviously the most yellow toned and it's definitely pretty, especially paired with warm makeup and undertones. Essence Soo Glow! Cream to Powder Highlighter in 010 Look on the Bright Side is a much more stark white shade. I also compared it to Essence I Heart Nude Eyeshadow in 03 Creme Brulee, which is also a nice natural highlight. This one is less shiny with much more subtle sheen and it's also a tiny bit more yellow than Kiko.
I am currently in love with this highlighter. In harsh sun light something like Mary-Lou can look really intense. Kiko highlighter has a nice cream texture that blends into the skin and looks like a part of your skin. This is my favorite thing about this highlighter. It's a bit sheer and looks like a part of your skin, but still gives an intense shine for all of us highlighter freaks. It's not too metallic or too shimmery. The shade is perfect mix of warm base and cool shimmer. It would look good on warm as well as cool skin tones. For a cream product this is very long lasting and super practical for when you're in a rush. I am seriously impressed with this one and it has become my staple product lately. Definitely recommend you to take a look, if you're ever in Kiko store.
