Review: Kerastase Reflection Fluide Chroma Riche

It's been a long time since I bought some new hair products and I've been using and creating my opinion on them for a long time. Today is another edition of Kerastase product to my collection. When I chose this one, I was looking for some products that would stay in the hair after washing and would maybe give me more softness and moisture. I felt the urge to purchase Kerastase Reflection Fluide Chroma Riche. It's luminous softening essence for highlighted or very sensitised color-treated hair. 


It's a plastic bottle with a bright fuchsia pink color. You get 125 ml of product and it costs around 24€. I would say look for a discount. I got it for 16.84€ on Look Fantastic. They always have good discounts. 


The pump works good and you can control the amount you want to squeeze out. The fluid never spils or anything like that. 

The Reflection range is for sensitized and colored hair. The range is suppose to maintain the color vibrancy of your hair. This fluid it's supposed to be luminous softening leave in treatment for dry highlighter or color-treated hair. It should detangle the hair, provide easier styling, protect from external aggression,  maximize the radiance and shine of color, leave hair softer and supple to the touch and give you UV filter and color protection. I love multi-task products.

Fluide has a very nice fruity smell. It's very runny, greasy and transparent. It feels like a mixture of oil and serum. I apply one pump to most of my hair - now that they are shorter. Before I used one and a half pump. 

The product glides on the hair like a dream and once the hair is dry it's left extremely smooth and shiny. I like to put it on damp hair and then blow dry. My hair is always shiny, but this makes them even shinier. The hair also feels very soft and nourished. Like a layer protecting the hair. No frizziness whatsoever. I wouldn't say it moisturizing and great for dry hair, but it does give you that nice smooth layer that makes the hair look vibrant and healthy looking. It also does detangle the hair, but most of such products do that anyway.

I think this product is great for styling or almost as that extra plump to your hair. It's definitely not something you desperately need, but it's a product that will make your hair very shiny, smooth and silky for those special occasions. I mean, it's not the cheapest product to be slathering it all over your hair every day?! If this would have some deeply moisturizing effect to my hair and heat protection, I would say this is my favorite product of all time. But now, it's my favorite luxury styling product that I use every now and then to make my hair look extra special.


This Reflection range still appeals to me, since I do have colored hair. If you tried any other products from this range, let me know how you liked it.

Hair products haul

My hair products were on its last breath, so I decided I need to take advantage of some deals that are going around on various web shops these days and refill my stock. I actually got a really good deal on Lookfantastic, where the prices for some high end hair products are amazing. I also repurchased one of my favorite conditioners on Iherb and I also added a new addition from Avon. I've decided to go a bit more orange with my hair color, so I know I need good products, because hair color does make my hair very dry and damaged.


I've already tried some products from Joico's regular K-Pak range and loved it. This time, I decided to try shampoo and conditioner from their K-Pak Color Therapy range. It's more geared towards colored hair. The K-Pak range it's for damaged hair, which needs that additional protein. Color Therapy range also helps to protect your hair color. I've used shampoo and conditioner once and loved the smell and how soft my hair were. No tangles and really nourished hair.

Shampoo contains 300 ml and costs around 14€ and conditioner also contains 300 ml and costs around 15€. 


With this festive pack of two, I also got this pretty black wash bag with gold stars.


Lately, I've also had a feeling like my hair was not really being washed. You know when you wash your hair and it feels like it's greasy the same day? That's how I felt with my hair. I have oily roots and very dry ends. So, I decided to purchase clarifying shampoo from Joico's K-Pak range. It's supposed to deeply clean your hair. I've tried it once and haven't found that much of a difference, but I need to try it more to make my opinion on it. I did like the fact that hair was soft and didn't feel dry.

It contains 300 ml and costs around 14€. (Sorry, I forgot to include this one on my groupie photo:) ).


From Iherb I also repurchased one of my favorite conditioners. This is more of a healthy natural choice for those who are looking for something like this. It's Acure Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Argan Oil conditioner. I've tried another natural conditioner and didn't like it at all, so I decided to get back to this one. It just makes the hair so much more moisturized and healthy looking. I already reviewed it here.

It contains 235 ml and costs around 7€.


I also decided to try my first ever Kerastase hair mask. I decided to go for their Resistance range, which is more for damaged hair, which mine are. It's called Kerastase Resistance Masque Force Architecte. I've read some good reviews about it. It's suppose to be a reconstructing mask that intensely replenishes brittle and damaged hair. I haven't tried it yet, so I can't report my first impressions of it. 

It contains 200 ml of product and costs around 28€.


I've also wanted some leave-in products. I do have two of Kerastase thermo masks, but I wanted something that looked more like an oil or serum. This Kerastase Reflection Fluide Chroma Riche is for dry highlighted or color-treated hair. It should basically detangle the hair, make it looks more shiny and protect the color. I've tried it once and wow. My hair felt really soft and shiny. Plus I didn't have those naughty knots that I always get after drying the hair and washing it.

It contains 125 ml and costs around 20€.


I've also added another hair oil for my hair. It's from Avon called Advanced Techniques Moroccan Oil. This oil is supposed to nourish the hair and make them smooth. I've only tried it once and I liked the fact that it wasn't too greasy for my fine hair. I also love the smell of it. It's sort of a typical Avon bubble gum smell. 

It contains 30 ml and costs between 3.50 - 6.50€ (depending on offers).


Kerastase and Joico are my favorite high end or even luxury brands for hair. The products are pretty expensive, but you definitely get a good product for that price. I haven't tried anything from those two brands, that I wouldn't like. I definitely advise you to find the range suited for your hair and try some products, if you have a chance. Acure conditioner is one of the best choices for dry hair if you're looking for a more natural product. Avon oil seems very popular and I'll need to try it a bit more to decided if I recommend it to you.

Review: Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique Nourishing Care With Heat-styling Protective Agent

I have another great hair product! I love good hair products that make my hair smell and look nice. When it comes to the quality, I love using more expensive hair products, because they just seem to work better than others. 


I've only purchased one Kérastase product, so this is my second and it's a hit again. It's from their Nutritive line and it's called Nectar Thermique. It's a nourishing care for dry to very dry hair. It's a leave in and also heat-styling protective agent. I love multi-purposed products. Especially for the hair! My hair is greasy at the roots and very dry at the ends or around most of my length. 

This product makes my hair feel pretty soft and definitely moisturized and nourished. I think it's a good treatment for dry hair. But the thing I love the most about it, is the fact that it's also a heat protectant. I blow dry my hair, pretty much every time I clean them, so this makes my hair look amazing. It's like a hair mask that gets better with the heat. I love this.

The consistency is something between a milk and light cream. It's white, not to thick, not to thin and it applies like a dream. I literally use only almond size amount for my whole hair. It spreads easily and the thing that makes this product my favorite is the smell. OH MY GOD! It smells soooo good! The smell is something like summer :). By that I mean it smells pretty much like a sunscreen product. My hair smell so good after I use this. I am obsessed with smelling my hair (I know, it's a really weird picture seeing me smell my own hair). It really is a a great product.



Here are the ingredients.


There's 150 ml of product in the packaging, which is plastic and easy to squeeze out wanted amount of the product. I have been using it a lot and I still feel like I have more than half of it. You really need the smallest amount. That's great, because the product is not cheap, around 22€. 

I also bought similar version of this product from their Resistance line, which is more for damaged hair. I've reviewed that product here. The main difference between those two is that Nutritive makes my hair soft and moisturized, but the Resistance makes it also a lot straighter and gives more shine. It also makes my ends look a lot better than the Nutritive. However, the Resistance smells of cucumbers - not my favorite smell and Nutritive smells so incredible. Nutritive contains 150 ml, Resistance 125 ml. That's also a difference.

I would say both products are amazing, pretty expensive, but I think wort all the money. Especially because you really need so little to get the effect have a fabulous blow out. Decide for Resistance if you have more damaged hair and want the ends to look incredible, plus have a really straight hair. If you're hair is dry and you're looking for a good nourishing heat protectant that also smells incredible on the hair, then go for Nutritive. 


I love them both for different purposes and use both. Nutritive for when I want nice smelling hair and Resistance for when I want my hair to look flawless in terms of mostly my split ends.

Review: Paul Mitchell The Conditioner

Finally I have for you another hair product that I really like. I first heard of this product by Theodor Leaf on YouTube. He mentioned it a few times and always recommend it to his subscribers. I remembered it, googled and found it. I was so happy to also find a smaller size of this product, since I didn't wanted to spend a fortune on a product that I didn't know that well.


Starting with the packaging, which is plastic, small, pretty convenient and in order to get a product out, you have to pop the top and squeeze it out through a little hole. I admit there were times I squeezed out too much. Not the best packaging, but it will work.


It contains 100 ml and cost me 5.63 €. I bought it on Look Fantastic and even got a 10 % discount, which they always have on the site. Now it costs 6.88€. Of course you can also get bigger sizes.

You've probably heard of Paul Mitchell or his products. He is a famous hairdresser and his products are well respected by other fellow hairdressers. 

Paul Mitchell The Conditioner is a quickly absorbed leave-in moisturiser and conditioner that improves texture, reduces static and smoothes the surface of your hair, leaving it nourished and protected from the wear and tear of daily styling.
Moisturising conditioners and Paul Mitchell’s exclusive Activated Moisture Blend of awapuhi, balance moisture and prevent dryness, while wheat-derived conditioners smooth the surface and reduce static. The Conditioner features a unique water-based formula excellent for both skin and hair.
It's basically a leave-in conditioner. I've only had leave-in masks and sprays, but not a leave-in conditioner. I was surprised to read that this can also be used on the skin. What? I know, weird. I have not tried in on the skin, just to clear that out. As far as the hair goes - I love it! 

It's a light blue transparent greasy texture. Very balm like. It's very moisturizing. I apply it on wet hair, before hair drying. My hair really feels moisturized and what I like the best is that my hair looks nourished and the overall look of my split ends is great. It really helps with the whole appearance of the hair and it gives the moisture that lasts for about two days, sometimes less. Keep in mind that my hair is really dry. I also clean it every other day. I have to say that this product surprised me. If you're looking for a hydrating leave in product for your hair and you have very dry hair, I highly recommend it. Use it sparingly, because the smallest amount is enough. Bare in mind that it's pretty heavy in terms of balminess or oiliness of the product, but it didn't weigh down my hair or anything like that.  


I really like this product. Whenever I don't use it, my hair just doesn't look as nice as it did before. I also like that it's so easy to use. For anyone with dry hair, I highly recommend. Plus you can always buy the little version, if you're not entirely sure you'll like it.

Favorites of 2013

Hey Beauties!

I've seen these posts of 2013 favorites and I loved reading them all, so I decided I have to join the club :). It seems like a nice way to have all the most used products in one place :). Let's, see what I've been using the most. Don't be surprised if most of the products look disturbing, since they really were most used in 2013.

Face

My favorite foundation has to be Maybelline Affinimat. I love the medium coverage and especially the matte finish. I also love the light shade, since I finally have the right shade match for colder days. My favorite concealer goes to Revlon Colorstay. The best for under eye area, since it's moisturizing enough and pigmented enough to cover imperfections. My favorite powder is Rimmel Stay Matte. This is my third repurchase. I love that it doesn't look cakey on me and it keeps my skin matte for a few hours. I also like the transparent shade, which I can use in the summer and in the winter.


Cheeks

Actually those products belong also to the face, but you know what I mean. I have really liked BYS Blush and Bronze mozaik. I use it as a bronzer. What I like is that it's a nice product for contour, since one of the shades in it has a slightly greyish tone to it. I also love it in the summer, since it is shimmery. My really abused and favorite blush is Deborah in 24 Rame. The shade is bronzed orange and I like that it looks really natural on my skin tone. My favorite highlighter of course goes to Essence Metal Glam highlighter in 01 Gold Digger. The thing I love the most about it is the gold neutral shade.


Lips

I have fallen in love with deep red shade Racy Red of Avon's Perfect Kiss lipstick. Perfect shade for anyone who likes deeper shades or in my case, perfect for fall and winter. Next is IQ Cosmetics Beige collection lipstick in the shade 24 Nude. Really nice nude to brownish shade. I have also really liked Avon's Perfect Kiss lipstick in Natural Glow. The most used every day lipstick. Nude with shimmer.


Eyes

My favorite brow product has been Catrice Eye Brow Stylist in 020 Date With Ash-tone. The perfect shade for me, because it has grey tone to it and my natural brows are pretty grey. My favorite mascara is Bourjois Twist Up the Volume. This is my second repurchase. I love the volume it gives me.


My most used palette has been MUA Undress Me Too. I wore those shades almost every day. I love the shades in the palette. Neutral and great for every day. You see what a mess it is - proof :).


I can't left out one of my all time favorite eye products -  Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos. As you see I have already bought 4 shades of them. My favorite and the one I recommend it to everyone has to be 35 - On and On Bronze.


Nails

My favorite and most worn nail polish shades were: Maybelline Colorama in 51 (white), Maybelline Colorama in 77 (light pink), Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Lemon Sugar (light yellow), Bourjois 1 Seconde in 22 Turquoise block (turquoise mint) and Maybelline Colorama in 261 (dark wine red).


Hair

I won't talk about my favorite shampoo, because I always use the same one (Nivea Pure Color) - because of dandruff prevention. My favorite conditioner has become Acure Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Argan Oil conditioner. I really like it, because it feels very moisturizing and my hair feels like it has oil on the ends, if I let them dry on the air.


For everyday hair drying I've liked Schwartzkopf Got2Be Guardian Angel heat protect. It doesn't feels sticky - not much to say about heat protectants :). I also used a lot of Moroccan Oil Light treatment. I've used this after the blow dry. It gives me nice shine and tames the frizz.


For blow drying I loved Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique  Heat- activated reconstructing milk. I love to use this when I want my hair to feel really sleek, healthy and straight. I also love the fact that it's a sort of a mask that gets activated by heat. My favorite hair mask has to be Redken All Soft Heavy Cream. Amazing mask that makes my hair feel so soft and shiny and tamed. Great product.


That's if for my favorites. Technically, I haven't been blogging all 2013 year, since I've started blogging in March this year. But I think I can still safely choose my favorites. Since this is the last blog post of this year, I wish you all a very happy and successful new year. I hope you have fun on new year's eve, wherever and how ever you decide to spend it ;)

Acure Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Argan Oil Conditioner

Today it's another hair product. I haven't been writing about these in a while. It's a conditioner by Acure and it's called Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Argan Oil Conditioner.


I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect. I really like high end (well for me it's high end, for some it may not be) products for hair, when it comes to conditioners and hair masks and all the other things. I was disappointed by a lot of drugstore conditioners and they just never felt as good as those a bit more expensive. I decided to try this one, when I saw the review on Jana's blog (click and you can read what she said about it). So, I placed my first order on iHerb and bought it.

I am pleasantly surprised. I have been using it for about 3 months and I like it. To me, it smells of a typical moroccan smell, if that makes sense? I guess, I would have to say it smells very oriental and I don't love the smell, but I don't hate it either. It's a bit strong in my opinion. The consistency is pretty thick, like a white cream and I love that. It sticks nicely to the hair.


While washing, the hair feels very smooth. If I let my hair dry itself, not using blow dryer, my hair has that oil feeling to it. By that I mean, that my hair feels moisturized an oily on touch, but not in a bad way. It just gives a nice moisture and smoothness to hair. However, if I blow dry the hair, I don't feel it being as moisturizing. The smell fades pretty quickly.

It comes in a tube, which is my favorite conditioner packaging and I absolutely love the directions on how to apply it. So cute :))



The packaging contains 235 ml of product around 6.34 €. Which I think it's a fairly good price for that amount of product.

I think it's a pretty good conditioner AND it also has very "healthy" natural ingredients, which is always a plus.  I recommend it to anyone with dry hair, especially because of all the oils that it contains and it's a nice natural alternative.
