Gift wrapping my nails

Hey Beauties!

I haven't done any nail design in a really long time. Partially, because most of them don't really succeed. Yesterday, I had the urge to  do something and this idea came to me, with the help of Catrice on YouTube - where I saw this video.  I hope you like my interpretation.

I used Maybelline Colorama nail polish in 303, which is a very light neutral beige color. I applied two coats.

Then I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in 171 Beach Babe. A white nail polish, with which I created dots. I tried to space them as neatly as I could, but let's be real, I can't do a straight line.

I used my Essence doting tool - the smaller dot.

Then I took striping brush and Maybelline Colorshow nail polish in 677 - black, to create these little bows.

I started by making something that looks like a mustache. I then rounded each side to create sort of a 8 shape. Then I wanted to thicken up the upper line, if I didn't do it so before. I then added two little stripes to finish the bow. I like to call them "organic" bows, because let's be honest, they're not particularly precise.

To finish the design, I used top coat and of course it wouldn't be my manicure, if I didn't smudge at least one nail (argh!). I still like how it came out. Even if it is really girly and cutesy, which is not really my style. How about you? Do you like that kind of designs?
