Review: Catrice Liquid Liner in 010 Dating Joe Black

Hey Beauties!

If there's one staple look in my makeup routine, it has to be winged liner. Since I have discovered the power of a little wing and how it can make my eyes appear longer and up lifted, I have been using the trick on daily basis. I have had a lot of eyeliners and I wasn't looking for another one. But I saw Nicki Tutorials on Youtube rave about Catrice eyeliner and how precise and matte it is. I tried it and it definitely is one of the good ones :).

It costs 3.79 € and it contains 1.7 ml of product. The packaging is plastic black. The shade is called 010 Dating Joe Black. Did you see the movie Joe Black with Brad Pitt? Clever name, may I say and the movie was amazing :).

The applicator seems to be a very thin and defined sponge felt tip. It's extremely precise, which is one of the things why I really love liquid liners. Other eyeliners are never as precise as liquid ones.

The formula is very liquid once you apply it and that may be a problem for some. But the eyeliner dries really quickly. It dries to a complete matte finish, which I adore. Once it dries it doesn't move. At all! It's extremely long lasting, just don't put any water near it, because it's not waterproof.

The shade is black, but for some reason it has a very slight blue hue. At least I think so. It's barely noticeable.

The only problem I have with this eyeliner, despite the liquid that sometimes seem to penetrate between my lashes, is the fact that it's a mess to clean off. I always clean my eyes with micellar water and the eyeliner seem to be smudging all over my eyes and face. I haven't tried it with any waterproof remover, so I don't know if that would be the solution. However, if I want a perfect matte precise finish to my eyeliner, this is the product. I can forgive the messy removing routine :).

Here is how it looks like on the eyes.

I find matte finish liquid eyeliner are rare. Although, I know most of Essence and Catrice liners do have that finish. It's definitely a great eyeliner and if you look for something precise, with matte finish and very long lasting power - go for it. It's maybe not for those, who have watery eyes or find liquid liners harder to work with.

Review: L'Oreal Super Liner Ultra Precision eyeliner

Hey Beauties!

I was ordering something from feelunique and thought why not try another eyeliner. Lately, I've been obsessed with eyeliners and have been wearing them everyday. I love my Maybelline master precise eyeliner, but I also wanted to try this one from L'Oreal. I wish I could merge those two together, that way, I would get a perfect eyeliner :).

L'Oreal Super Liner is a liquid eyeliner. I was a bit surprised that the packaging was gold, since on the internet there was a black picture. Well, I guess they changed the design and I love gold - so it's perfectly fine. I bought it for something around 8€ and I actually can't find how much product is in it.

The applicator is a spongy tip which is pretty thin. I don't like the fact that I need dip in the eyeliner a lot, because there isn't enough product on the applicator to draw the whole eyeliner with one dip. But I do like the applicator, because you can make as thin or thick line, as you want to. I think it's easier to use than a brush, but I love brushes, so I'm getting used to this applicator, which doesn't move or bend at all. I love brushes, because the tips are usually extremely thin and you can really thing out the eyeliner, whilst with this one it's just a bit more work to get perfectly thin line of the wing.

I got the eyeliner in the shade Black, which is a true black. The eyeliner is very liquid, but not so much that it would run into the eyes. I find that it sets pretty quickly, which makes life easier. It does leave a sort of shiny or metallic finish. I would prefer it to be completely matte, but I know most of liquid eyeliners have the same finish. I love love the fact that it stays put for hours and hours. You can sweat or have oily lids, but this will not budge. It stays as it is. I have been wearing it for 12 hours and it stayed perfect.

A few photos of how it looks on me and how precise it is.

It's definitely not a bad eyeliner at all. The thing I love the most about it is the staying power, which is just amazing. I also love the fact that even though it's a very liquid formulation, it dries very quickly, so no eyeliner transferring on the upper lid. I would actually like the applicator to be a bit more bendable and the formula to be a bit less liquid and completely matte. But I think it's worth the money and great for the days when you just want your makeup to last all day.

What's your favorite eyeliner? I'm really intrigued to know :).

Review: Essence Beach Cruisers Liquid Eyeliner (02 keep calm and go to the beach!)

Hey Beauties!

I reviewed the bronze liner from Essence's LE Beach Cruisers, a few days ago. Since then, I couldn't stop thinking, why didn't I get the other shade as well?! To my luck, I found the other shade as well. Yey!

I wouldn't go too much in depth, because the products is similar to the bronzy shade. You can find the review here

This shade is called 02 keep calm and go to the beach! It's a green blue shade. It's more glittery, than the bronze shade and it also stains the skin, like it's written on the product itself. Nothing major, but you may still have some line on the lid, after removing it. It goes away over the night, so it's not that horrible. It's very long lasting. I find that you have to wait for it to dry a little and try not to get it transfer all over the lid, because it's hard to remove it. Once it's dry, it'll stay like that.

The difference between the bronze and this shade is that this one stains a little, it's a lot more glittery and a bit less pigmented. I did need to apply it two or three times to get it really opaque. With the bronze shade I also need at least two applications - but with this one you may need three.

The shade is really pretty and if you like it, I recommend you buy it. It's cheap and it's really good :).

Review: Essence Beach Cruisers Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Hey Beauties!

So I initially thought I wouldn't buy anything from this Beach Cruisers LE. But when I saw it in the store, I was impressed by the color of the liquid liner. Since it's a very wearable shade, I decided to get it.

It's a classic Essence plastic packaging. I like that the packaging is the same color as the product. Makes thing easier. It contains 3 ml of product and costs 2.49€

The applicator is a short brush. If you put on a little pressure, you get a thin line and if you put more pressure, the brush flats and creates a thicker line.

It's described as a waterproof glitter eyeliner. Now, I wouldn't describe it as a glitter liner, at all. It's actually more of a metallic effect to me. It's shiny, but there's no obvious glitter seen, while wearing. The glitter shows, when you decide to take it off. It's definitely very long lasting, but not waterproof. It reminds me of Catrice liquid liner. Once it dries, it won't move, until you decide to take it off.

I really like the color. I would describe it as a copper bronze or brown gold. It goes nice with my hair color. I think it's a very wearable liner that would suit many and the quality is not bad at all. The shade is called 01 Sun, Fun & Copper!

Here I went a bit overboard with it, creating more of a night time look.

Did you get any of the products from this LE?
