I finally got back to doing more nail designs. Part of the reason is also me going to nail courses, because it's another field that I want to better myself in. Today's nail art is in collaboration with Katja who writes Nail2express blog. Her blog is all about nails - nail art, nail polish reviews and some really useful nail tips. Definitely check it out, she will help you find inspiration for your next manicure. I personally admire her stamping nail designs, I've tried this once and gave up on it. It's harder than it seems.

Unicorn Pumpkin DIY
30 Oct 2017
I haven't done a DIY project in forever. Since this year is flooded with unicorns, I decided to make a cute pumpkin unicorn decor for fall. I've seen this on Pinterest and YouTube and it's by no means my idea. This is just my version with the things that I could gather together and I think it looks really cute. You can make it for fall in general, not just for Halloween.
For this you'll need:
pumpkin
white, gold and red acrylic paint
brush
sponge
modeling clay
wooden skewer
white and pink felt
hot glue gun
fake plastic flowers
old fake eyelashes
I started by painting my green pumpkin to a white color. First I applied most of my white acrylic color with a brush and then I used sponge to make it look more textured and evenly blended. You can do it just with the brush, if you don't have a sponge, but I like this textured look. I pained two coats to cover it all.
For unicorn horn I used white modeling clay and made two cone shapes. Then I swirled them together to make a unicorn horn shape. I let it dry for a while, but you can also bake it, if the clay is for baking. Before you leave it to dry, also take a wooden skewer and put it on that. This will make it easier for you to stick it in the pumpkin later. Then I applied gold metallic acrylic color over it. For this I used a brush only.
I cut out two bigger ears in a nude color and two smaller ears, for the inside part of the ear, from pink colored felt. Then I hot glued them together. You can also pinch them together at the bottom and use hot glue gun to stick together and make it look more 3D.
I bough one stem of plastic fake flowers in a darker purple shade. The flowers are made in a way that you can actually just pull them off. I decided to also add the leaves and small green accents, so I cut these off to. You can use whatever you have at home - butterflies, flowers, leaves...maybe even real flowers.
Once everything is dried and colored you can start to assemble it together. I started by pushing that horn we made on the center upper pumpkin part. Then I hot glued fake flowers on the top of the pumpkin to make a flower crown in a way. I also used green leaves as a base and those green accents here and there. I also hot glued on the ears. After that I took some old and used fake eyelashes and also glued these on in a downward position to make it seem like the unicorn is looking down with closed eyes. I took a bit of that white acrylic paint and mixed it with another red color to make a soft pink hue. With that color I took small piece of sponge and stippled it on to make it seem like the unicorn is blushing. It's super cute and easy to make.
I really like how it turned out. It looks like a shy baby unicorn. It's a fun project to do, if you have some time on your hands and would like to get into that fall feel. I'm sure your guests will love seeing it at the front door. It's also a less creepy version for those that prefer prettier things.
Fall Picks: Makeup, Nail Polishes And Fragrances
7 Nov 2016
If my makeup would be called by a season, it would definitely be fall. Fall nature's colors are my favorite makeup colors. I absolutely adore rich browns, warm reds and vibrant coppers. This kind of seasonal posts are here to give you some ideas on what products I absolutely adore in each season and what products I would definitely recommend. I love reading those posts, so I have a lot of fun doing them too.
I tried to include only products that I haven't already mentioned in my last year's post.
Eyeshadows
All of the palettes that I mention here are pretty much perfect for fall. Especially both Zoeva ones. I love warm and rich colors, especially cranberries, berries, greens and browns. Neutrals are also in my daily routine, because they can match any crazy bold lipstick.
Zoeva Cocoa Blend - Warm Notes (cranberry red with purple sheen)
Zoeva Cocoa Blend - Freshly Toasted (redish medium matte brown)
Zoeva Mixed Metals - Neo Brass (warm golden green)
Zoeva Mixed Metals - Bronce (army green)
Zoeva Mixed Metals - Copper Plate (warm rich red)
theBalm Nude'tude - Sexy (deep eggplant matte purple)
Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate - Truffled (classic medium matte brown)
Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate - Peanut Butter (very warm brick based matte brown)
Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate - Mousse (neutral medium matte brown)
Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate - Bon Bon (salmon warm neutral shade)
Shade 3 (chocolate brown with gold shimmer)
Shade 4 (dark chocolate brown with copper glitter)
Golden Rose Silky Touch Pearl Eyeshadow 116 (cranberry red with very purple sheen)
Brown liner is sort of reserved for fall in my makeup routine. I like how it goes with other warm and rich eyeshadows and it can make a look a bit sexier and less harsh. Of course, I also included one of my new favorite black liners and a bronze one, which is so warm and lovely for warming up any look.
Avon Liquid Chrome Eyeliner Bronze (copper bronze)
Clio Kill Brown Waterproof Brush Liner (medium brown)
Clio Kill Black Waterproof Brush Liner (black)
I've found a new warm bronzer that is actually really light, but can be build up. For the fall I like to wear a bit warmer and darker highlighters, because I still have some tan on my face. As my tan goes away, I transition into lighter shades.
Essence Pure Nude Highlighter 10 Be My Highlight (peachy champagne)
Sleek Highlighting Palette Solstice - Subsolar (very fair white)
Sleek Highlighting Palette Solstice - Equinox (very light peach with white sheen)
Kiko Flawless Fusion Bronzer Powder 01 (warm light brown)
Fall is also the only season that changes up my blush colors. In the fall I gravitate towards mauve and pinkier blushes, because those match my berry lipsticks. Of course, I also like a good peach for all those warm brown and red eye looks.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush 010 Santa Rose (dirty light peach)
Trend It Up Powder Blush 010 (dirtly light pink)
Trend It Up Powder Blush 050 (durty light mauve)
H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher Rosy Brown (warm brownish pink)
I match my lip liners to lipsticks or wear them on their own. In the fall I mostly wear browns, because those are still neutrals and I love a rich red and berry shade. Since matte lipsticks have been so popular this year, I also have a few of these in my selection.
Avon Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner Simply Spice (medium brown)
Avon Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner Mystery Mauve (cool mauve)
Kiko Creamy Colour Comfort Lip liner 304 Wine (brownish red)
Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Contouring Pencil 011 Spice (warm pinkish brown)
Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Contouring Pencil 071 Cherry Kiss (warm bright purple)
Lip Gloss / Lipsticks
Avon Shine Burst Stick Iced Mocha (mauve brown)
Avon Shine Burst Stick Rose (dirty pink)
Catrice Supreme Fusion Lipcolour + Care 070 Remarry Berry (warm purple)
Golden Rose Vision Lipstick 123 (warm peachy brown)
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick Marvelous Mocha (warm brown)
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick Red Supreme (deep bright red)
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick Berry Blast (berry purple)
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Stockholm (pinkish brown)
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream London (warm brown)
Makeup Factory Mat Lip Fluid 61 Velvet Rosewood (brown mauve)
Nail Polishes
Nail polishes are the one product that I always have a wide range of shades. Sometimes, I like something pastel, other times, something really dark. This year is all about dirty fall shades, dark reds and occasional pastel stand outs.
Kiko Nail Lacquer 479 Pearly Golden Sesame (brown taupe with golden shimmer)
Kiko Nail Lacquer 530 Pearly Blue Peacock (blue green with golden shimmer)
Kiko Nail Lacquer 497 Pearly Indian Violet (eggplant purple with blue and red shimmer)
Gel Shine Nail Enamel Mauvelous (medium mauve)
Gel Shine Nail Enamel Stonewashed (grey olive)
Gel Shine Nail Enamel Rouged Cider (muddy salmon)
Gel Shine Nail Enamel Pined-Perfection (pine tree green)
Essence The Gel Nail Polish 52 Amazed By You (dark warm purple)
Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel Warm Spice (warm rich brown)
Gel Shine Nail Enamel Marmalady (brownish apricot)
Kiko Nail Lacquer 338 Light Lavender (lavender blue)
Fragrances
I am secretly excited to start wearing more woody and stronger scents. Summer is all about coconut and tropical scents, while fall gets sultrier and sexier with heavier woody scents. I am a lover of everything sweet and oriental, so those are in my favorite picks.
Avon Outspoken Party By Fergie - A very fruity sweet fragrance with warm woody base.
Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy - Similar to Outspoken, this is again one of those very sweet musky fragrances with fruity top notes.
Avon Mesmerize Black - Floral oriental woody fragrance that is on the stronger and sexier side.
Avon Life - Floral and woody fragrance. It's starts very floral, but turns into a classic wood based scent.
Avon Little Lace Dress - It starts off floral and greenish, but it turns into a warmer woody base that is not too strong.
Beyonce Heat - A very heavy and strong sweet woody scent.
These are my favorite picks that I'm using this fall. I'd love to know what are some of your favorite this year's fall products. Is there anything that I just have to have?

Plaid Nails
21 Oct 2016
Plaid shirts are synonym for fall. They look simple and go with everything. I have a collection of few at home and was wondering how plaid would look like on my nails. Straight lines are the hardest for me to achieve, because I don't use stencils or nail tape and I can't draw straight line for the life of me. But I actually like this look on my nails, so I decided to post it in all its imperfection.
For base colors I chose an array of typical fall shades. I applied different color on each nail polish. Here I used Avon Gel Shine Nail Enamels in: Jaded Sky, Pined-Perfection, Stonewashed Clay, Marmelady and Rouged Cider.
The rest of the design is pretty much all straight lines. I did them with a stripping nail brush. If you're even worse in creating straight lines than I am, I suggest using nail tape or just regular tape and peeling it off before the nail polish dries up.
I took shades that were similar to the base color and created a wider cross. I alternated were two lines met on different nails. On some, cross was a bit upper, some lower, on the side, in the middle and so on. Then I used white nail polish (Gel Shine Nail Enamel - Iceberg White) and added another two lines inside of the cross, but this time making them thinner.
I decided to pair all design with another cross of gold nail polish (Avon Magic Effects Molten Metal Nail Enamel - Gold). This cross I tried to position opposite of the previous one.
Then I applied regular top coat (Avon Gel Shine Lasting Finish Top Coat) to seal the design. If you apply top coat too quickly, it can smudge the design. Be patient and wait a bit. Especially, if you applied thicker coats of nail polishes.
Because shiny just didn't look as pretty as I thought, I went over it with a matte top coat (Kiko Matte Effect Top Coat). Interesting what a difference finish can make. It looks so much more interesting and flat, like a shirt.
I like this look for a bit of color in the fall. It can look very interesting, but it's not hard to do, if you have some patience. There's no actual drawing involved, just adding some lines all around your nail.

Review: Avon Gel Shine Nail Enamels (Fall Shades)
13 Oct 2016
Count on Avon to surprise you with seasonal novelties. I am very fond of Avon's continuously changing range of products. They always seem to add seasonal shades and are fairly quick on picking up new beauty trends and making their own versions. I have already reviewed the whole range of Avon Gel Shine Nail Enamels previously. They've added 5 new seasonal fall shades that are absolutely gorgeous and some are really unique.
As with their previous nail polishes, these also come in a square shaped glass bottle with black plastic top. In each is 10 ml of product and the regular price is 5.90€. These are often on sale and right now you can get them for 2.90€ (Slovenia).
They have regular straight cut brush. The formula is creamy and easy to apply but not fully opaque. You'll need two coats to completely cover the nail.
Drying time is fairly quick and they have a good lasting power. I'd say 3 to 4 days on my weak and prone to splitting nails. The finish is very shiny and it definitely resembles gel like polishes. If you apply their top coat over it, you get even shinier finish.
Stonewashed Clay
Unique mix of grey and light olive shade. I'd say it's grey with olive tone. I find it unique and very classic shade in a way. It's a fun twist on boring grey.
Rouged Cider
Muddy salmon shade. It's as if salmon shade would have a bit of muddiness or brown added to it. Really unique shade in my range of nail polishes and it almost looks like a blush that I would love to own.
Pined-Perfection
Pine tree green. This shade is true to its name. It really does look like a proper pine tree, a medium muted green. I adore this shade. It's hard to find unique and muted green shades and this one looks really pretty.
Jaded Sky
Petroleum shade. My camera didn't want to catch the real shade of this nail polish. It looks like a mix of darker green and blue. On my photos it looks just blue, but in real life it also has a bit of green in it and looks like a proper petroleum shade.
Marmalady
Brownish apricot. To me it looks exactly like apricot jam. It's my favorite shade of all of these and in my opinion the most unique. When I wore it, I got a lot of compliments from those persons that don't usually even like these kind of shades. It's a bit retro and super unique.
In my opinion, these are one of the most unique shades of nail polishes that I've seen in a while. You often see muted and different toned classic shades in higher ranged brands and not so much in drugstore ranges.
Fall shades are one of my favorite shades in general, because I love green and peach. Marmalady is a total winner of uniqueness and is definitely the one that I advise you to get it. All the other shades are just as pretty. Jaded Sky is my least favorite, but that's probably because I'm not to keen on blue in general.
I highly recommend you to check these out and get some, if you have a chance. It's a lovely creme formula, shiny finish and they are fairly long lasting. Also take a look at other shades in the Gel Shine range. There are some interesting fall shades as well - my favorite being Mauvelous and Wine And Dine Me.

Potrebovali boste dva nanosa, da prekrijete celoten noht.
Se dokaj hitro sušijo in so dobro obstojni. Na mojih mehkih in cepljenih nohtih se obdržijo 3 do 4 dni.
Stonewashed Clay
Unikatna mešanica sive in svetlo olivne.
Obožujem zelene in breskvaste odtenke.
Imajo kremno formulo, sijoč finiš in so dokaj dolgo obstojni. Moja favorita sta Mauvelous in Wine And Dine Me.
*Izdelki so mi bili poslani.
