Review: Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream - 21 Light Beige

Hey Beauties!

Koreans are known for really high quality BB creams and Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream is one of those really popular ones. When I found smaller sized tube of it, I had to try it out and I definitely fell in love with it.

BB cream comes in a burgundy plastic tube with silver top. It also comes with a complimentary brown silver box. This is small size and it contains only 20 ml of product and costs 5.90$ on Jolse. You can also get the usual 50 ml size.

This BB cream should lighten skin tone by healing visible wrinkles and blemishes with excellent skin-cover ability, and prevent skin aging through effective whitening and anti-wrinkle properties. It's also Missha's most popular product with over 30 million sold worldwide and world bestseller BB cream.

It has a really small hole which perfectly controls the amount that you want to use. It's also really hygienic.

As with any Korean BB creams, you're not just getting a tinted moisturizer, but a compound of skin care benefits and foundation. Main ingredients are camomile extract (skin calming), rosemary extract (skin calming), ceramide, hyaluronic acid (moisturizing), and gatuline RC (resilience effect). It also has an SPF 42 which means it's perfect for summer.

Shade 21 Light Beige is the second lightest shade in their range (they also have 13, which is even lighter). I bought it based on other reviews online and the shade actually matches me perfectly despite looking different on my hand. It's a bit grey toned, not yellow nor pink at all. This surprised me a bit, but it actually blends with my skin tone and looks like a perfect match. It also brightens up my complexion, because of the light color and grey base.

It has a quite thick but very creamy and smooth texture. This glides on the skin with such ease and it's really easy to blend in. I love to blend it into the skin with just fingers or a makeup sponge. It leaves behind a slightly sticky feeling, which is good for applying powder over it, because it really makes it stick to it. It's very lightweight and actually feels more like a good moisturizer rather than a foundation.

It's very luminous and  has a nice natural sheen, but doesn't look dewy or greasy. The finish is very much natural and it's not too obvious or cakey.

For a BB cream this has a really nice coverage. I would say it's a lighter medium coverage, but can be build up to a fuller medium coverage. The redness still shows through, if you apply a thin layer. This also doesn't hide the pores. It doesn't get into lines and actually makes the skin look very moisturized and healthy. If you apply heavy moisturizer underneath it, it will give you a super glowy almost dewy finish. If you have well moisturized skin you can obviously wear it on its own since it does feel very much like a moisturizer mixed with foundation.

On the left side I have my bare skin and on the right side I have Missha BB cream.

For a BB cream it's pretty long lasting, especially considering that it has that luminous finish to it. It wears off naturally and evenly. On my combination skin it can look very dewy at the end of the day and almost gets kind of oily on my oilier areas like around the nose and chin. If you have oily skin, this is probably not for you. Dry and normal skins would love this. Combination skin will need to powder it on oilier areas, as I do, so it doesn't get too shiny too quickly.

It has a very pleasant scent which is subtle and reminds me of old school hand creams. I like it.

I also compared it to my other fairly light foundations. It almost looks the darkest, but as you can see on photos above it blends with my skin perfectly. In fact, it is actually the lightest of these all and it doesn't oxidize on me at all.

Here is also how it looks like paired with my usual makeup look.

This BB cream seriously impressed me. It's the best coverage BB that I have tried so far. It looks natural, gives a luminous sheen to the skin, has a light medium to full medium coverage and is actually light enough for my skin tone (which is seriously a miracle). In spite of being grey toned it blends with my warm skin tone and it actually brightens up my complexion. I wish it would cover large pores better, but then it would probably be more matte. Whenever I wear this, it looks like I have a really moisturized healthy glowy skin. I even got my cousin this BB cream and she doesn't wear any foundation ever. I think this is for all of you who want natural looking, but still good coverage, luminous base. I almost used mine up and have already ordered full size. I can't recommend it enough, especially, if you can't find light enough shades in drugstores.
