Review: L'Oreal Fine Flowers Gel-Cream Wash Dry & Sensitive Skin

L'Oreal came out with this Fine Flowers skin care range. I haven't seen any of these products in our drugstores, so I'm assuming we don't have it in Slovenia. But I did find it in Austria as well as online stores. I bought Gel-Cream Wash on a whim, because it was on sale and sounded good. A quest to find the perfect washing gel comes over me every summer. Some cleansing milks just feel to heavy and I want something that does the job, but doesn't feel too heavy or leave my skin dry feeling.


It comes in a half pink and half transparent tube. The tube is slim and long which means it will start falling off your shelf as soon as you touch it. But I like the practical tube packaging anyway.

In it is 150 ml of product and the regular price is 4.79€ on Feelunique. I bought it there, but when it was on sale, so it cost me 3.36€.


The opening is small enough and it doesn't spill the product all over, which is nice. 


Here is the ingredients list. 

L'Oreal says that the wash contains extracts of rose and jasmine flowers. It should make your skin soft, comfortable and fresh. The gel-cream texture emulsifies in the water and creates creamy foam that cleanses and softens the skin without drying it out.

Rose is known for its soothing and comforting properties and jasmine for protective and moisturizing properties. 

It also doesn't contain any alcohol or soap.


The gel-cream is actually like a mix of thinner milk and classic gel. It's pearly white and very runny. Once you massage it in the skin with a bit of water, it turns into a milky white consistency that foams, but not too much. 

I like it, because it doesn't sting my eyes. It has a subtle soothing scent and I don't smell any flowers, which I like. On the skin it feels soothing, but also efficient in removing leftover makeup. I do a double cleanse, so oil cleanser and then this. I also use it in the morning to wash off any leftover dirt and product and it does the job well. I wouldn't use it as a first cleanse when removing makeup, although you can and it does remove it well with a bit more effort.

After I wash it off, my skin is left feeling clean, fresh, soft and not dry nor does it have any nourishing layer on top (like some cleansing milks tend to leave behind). It's a perfect cleanser for hot summery month in that it feels lightweight, does the job and doesn't dry out your skin. I have sensitive skin in general, but it's less irritated in the summer. This cleanser doesn't irritate my skin right now, but I can't say for sure for those of you with really sensitive skin.


The Fine Flowers range includes products like facial wipes, cleansing toner, cleansing milk and cleansing balm. Most of these products also have two versions, one for dry and sensitive skin and one for normal to combination skin.

I have to say I like it. It cleans well, feels lightweight, doesn't irritate and doesn't dry out my skin. What more could I wish for?! It's perfect for hot summer months as a morning cleanse or a second cleanse in the evening. The price point is also quite nice.

What I put on my skin

A while ago I got a request to do my skin care routine, so I decided it is time that I update you on what products I use on my skin. If I'm completely honest, I don't change my skin products often, because I have pretty sensitive skin and once I find something I like (which is rarely), I want to stick with it. I did find some new products which I really like, so why not give you some ideas on what to try next, if you're more adventurous than me:).


Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water is my holly grail for taking off eye makeup. I have pretty sensitive eyes and this is the only product that feels just like water and doesn't irritate my skin at all. It's very effective with removing the most stubborn and waterproof eye makeup. I get why it's so hyped among makeup artist to wipe off makeup on their clients, because it's really very gentle. I only use it for removing eye makeup.

The rest of my makeup I remove with Balea Med Ultra Sensitive Cleansing Milk. It's pretty runny milk and I like to massage it all over my skin. That way I break down my makeup and then I use cotton pad to wipe it off my face. I like this milk, because it's very movable and it doesn't irritate my skin.

I do my second cleanse with Alverde Clear Wash Cream, which is clay based cleanser for combination skin or skin with impurities. I like it, because clay is known for it's deep removing properties and I feel like it keeps pimples away from my face. It's also very gentle, pretty natural and the skin isn't left dry or itchy. 


When my skin has uneven surface, pimples or dry patches, I like to use Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner. It's acid based exfoliator and it makes my skin very soft and evens out my skin surface. I don't use it all the time, just when I feel like I need it.

My new product, which I started using a couple of weeks ago, is Kahne Stable Vitamin C. It's basically vitamin c in a liquid form. I spray it on at night or in the morning. Vitamin C is known for its brightening effect and I want to get rid of my hyper pigmentation around my mouth. It also contains UVA and UVB protection. I feel like my skin looks a bit brighter, but I have to use it for longer period of time to confirm its effectiveness.


My fairly new love is also from Kahne and it's called Rosa Mosqueta. It's rose hip seed oil with dermabrasive treatment. I have already reviewed it here. It's an amazing all natural oil, which makes my skin extremely soft and moisturized. I feel like it's an oil exfoliator. The best thing about it, it's all natural, therefore very gentle. 

One oil that is also my all time favorite, is Dr. Sheller Jojoba and Schisandra Soothing Intensive Serum. It's also for sensitive skin and is oil based serum. I have review of it here. It's one of the best soothing products for sensitive skin. It moisturizes the skin and gets rid of any irritations and red patches. I use it in the morning underneath all other skin care products, to make my skin less sensitive.


One product that I'm still searching for a good alternative, is an eye cream. I prefer a bit more natural product around my eyes, but my little lines around the eyes have started to really annoy me. I think I'm gonna need some anti wrinkle eye creams. Recently, I started using The Emu Oil Well Moisturizing Eye Cream. It's a pretty natural product and it has good reviews on Feelunique. I have to say it's moisturizing and very sensitive, but I can't say I notice any huge difference. The moisture stays on the skin and it's a good base, but it doesn't appear to reduce fine lines. If you have any suggestions on eye creams, I would appreciate it. 


As for face creams, I always swear on Afrodita Camomile range for sensitive skin. They have nourishing and moisturizing cream. Nourishing is very thick, very moisturizing and even greasy and it's great for sensitive skin. Moisturizing version is lighter, not as thick and it's also great for sensitive skin. I always swore on this duo, but I've added a new product to my routine. 

It's La Roche-Posay Hydreane Riche Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin. I won it in a giveaway and I love it. It's somewhere between thick and thin consistency and it's really moisturizing. I was surprised that it felt so good and soothing on my sensitive skin. A real jewel among products for sensitive skin. I have a review here.

Since I took these photos, I also added two new cream from Avon. Review will be on the blog soon. They have also surprised me and are great for sensitive skin. 


I also have two must have products for my lips. I have naturally very dry lips and they get chapped a lot and I mean A LOT! One product that I still find the best is Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. It's multi-purpose very thick and greasy cream. I honestly can't imagine putting it on the skin, because it's very greasy. It's almost like a sticky thick lip gloss. I find that this is the only product that helps to restore my chapped lips. 

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm is also a very good product. I don't find that it particularly helps to heal chapped lips, but it does prevent them. I love to use it underneath lipsticks as a prevention. It's matte and I feel like it acts as a barrier between my lips and sometimes overly-drying lipsticks. 


I have to mention my new love for hands. It's Konad Mango Moisture Hand Cream, which I got as a gift, thanks Sabina;). It smells absolutely amazing of mango. The smell is everything. It's also very creamy and it soaks into the skin extremely quickly. It keeps my hands moisturized and one thing I really like about it, is the fact that it doesn't irritate my skin. I also have some problems with the skin on my hands and a lot of hand creams irritate me. This one doesn't and it smells like fruit heaven.


These are the products that I use on my face, lips and hands. I hope I gave you some ideas and sorry for mentioning a lot of Slovenian brands, because I know they're not available everywhere. It's just the products that I use and find very helpful on my sensitive skin. A lot of you always mention to me how good my skin looks and I thank you for that. You have to know that when I do my makeup looks, I usually do them, when my skin is acting good. I also have horrible periods of pimple outbreaks and dry skin. This one has been haunting me all winter and it hasn't stopped now. I know we all have different skin types and react differently to certain products. This is just what works for me and what I use on daily basis.

Review: La Roche-Posay Hydreane Riche Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin

A while ago I was a lucky winner and won this La Roche-Posay Hydreane Riche moisturizing cream for sensitive skin on Sandra's blog The Puzzle of Sandra's Life. I never thought I would like this cream so much, but then again La Roche-Posay is an amazing brand, so it's no surprise. 


It's a cream for sensitive skin and it's suppose to soothe, hydrate and moisturize your skin. It's meant to be as a daily care to make your skin feel comfortable and reduce any skin sensitivity. Texture of the cram is enriched with shea butter. It also contains hydrolipids and La Roche-Posay thermal spring water. 

It comes in a plastic squeezable tube and it's one of the most hygienic packaging for a face cream. The prices are different from one store to another, but it costs around 14€ and you get 40 ml of product.

As I've mentioned a few times, my skin is more on the combination side and pretty oily in the summer. However, the winter has done it's job, so I'm religiously using rich creams to insert some life into my skin. This cream is a rich version, but they have light version as well. It's for dry skin. The texture is pretty light for a rich cream. It's not thick, not runny, something in between. It's very smooth and spreads on the face with no problem. It does feel pretty rich once you start to massage it in. It has that slippery feeling of butter mixed with cream. That being said, it soaks into the skin really fast. It leaves behind surprisingly matte finish, but it still feels like it's locking in the moisture underneath the skin surface. Skin feels amazingly soft afterwards. The texture surprised me. Most of the rich creams are very greasy and leave that finish behind, but this soaks in and almost gives you a matte finish, incredible. The skin still gets the moisture and it looks pretty plumped. 



I also have a pretty sensitive skin and this cream worked great. No red patches, no itchiness. It does have a subtle smell to it, but for some reason it doesn't irritate my skin at all. It's a really good cream and I've been using it every day. Now I'm kind of afraid I got addicted and will need to buy one, when I use this one. It's not the cheapest, but it's a really good light moisturizing cream for mixed or dry skin. If you hate rich greasy creams and have sensitive skin that needs moisture, than I highly recommend this one.

Review: Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

I've had this exfoliating toner for a while, but didn't know how to properly describe it. It's hard for me to write a review of skin care products, because I can only write about how it feels on the skin. The long term benefits are harder to spot, especially because of the so many other products that I use with this one. 


You may have been hearing a lot about the chemical exfoliation. It's supposed to be a lot better than the physical exfoliation. Physical exfoliators are usually those that contain little beads that scrub your skin surface to get rid of the dead cells. Apparently those beads can actually damage your skin surface. That's why it's better to use chemical exfoliators, which remove dead skin cells with the help of acids, therefore chemicals. I decided to also purchase one of these, but because I have a very sensitive skin, I didn't want any harsh reactions. I decided to get the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator, because I have heard a lot of good things about it. The word gentle was the one that drove me to it in the first place.


The packaging is plastic with a screw on top. It's very practical. There's also a little hole through which you can control how much of the product you want. I usually put in on a cotton pad and have never had the problem of too much coming out.

There's 125 ml of product and I bought it for 20.55£, approximately 26€. 



Here are ingredients for those who are interested.


It's a liquid and it smells really nice. It's sort of a subtle clean a slightly sweet smell. Nothing too strong or too sweet. Just a nice relaxing smell in my opinion. 

It's supposed to be gentle and refreshing exfoliating lotion that lifts impurities that dull the complexion to deliver soft, smooth, brighter-looking skin. It says to use it one to two times a week. It also contains aplha hydroxy acid (AHA), so using a sunscreen after using this, is an essential. Because those acids can increase the possibility of a sunburn. 

I can say that it's definitely a gentle exfoliator. I've heard that exfoliators with harsher acids can tingle on the skin, but this one doesn't do anything at all. No burning, no tingling, no bad irritations. It's definitely a good chemical exfoliator for those with sensitive skin. I could do without the perfume, but that would be asking too much from most skin care companies. Sometimes I get a few red patches and I assume it's the perfume that's the cause. So.. extremely sensitive skins - probably not the best to be used in times of irritated skin.

I can't say if it brightens up the skin. My skin does feels very soft and very smooth. This tells me that it probably does remove the dead sells. The pores are slightly smaller, but the effect doesn't last all day. The skin also feels nourished and not dry at all, after using it. I tend to use it one to two times a week, although I know some people use those every single day. I also feel that it does help a little with the pimples and other impurities. It helps to dry them out faster.

I have to say, it's not something that I would be head over heels. It's a good exfoliator and I like that it makes my skin smooth. I do feel that this is a very good version for me, because it's gentle enough, but it does exfoliate nicely as well. It's definitely on the expensive side, but I only use it two times a week, so this will last me ages. I guess I am just not that excited about it. You can also read what Mateja think about it here. Review: Green Line Hydro Mineral light moisturizing cream

As promised, here is the review of Green Line's Hydro Mineral light moisturizing cream for mixed and oily skin. I really like this cream, surprisingly. It's a Slovenian brand and I don't know where it's also available, but if you have mixed to oily skin, I highly recommend you pick this one up. 


The packaging is plastic with a screw on top. It's got blue writing and top. I actually prefer plastic packaging, because I can use it for traveling, when it's empty and I'm not gonna be afraid to drop it. The cream contains 50 ml of product and costs around 7€. 


Here is the ingredients list.


The cream includes ingredients like papaya extract, algae spirulina and what-i-was-the-most-surprised mineral water Radenska Naturelle. Fun, isn't it? It also doesn't contain any parabens.  The cream is supposed to regulate the amount of moisture and fats in the skin, tighten the pores, restore skin cells, stimulate the natural collagen formation, smooth first expressional wrinkles, give skin vitality and have no oily residue. My version is for those with mixed to oily skin and for those over the age of 25 - which I am, since I had my 25th birthday in January - perfect :).


The cream is white and a pretty light texture. It spreads very easily and it's very smooth. The texture goes really thin, while massaging it into the skin, but still feels very moisturizing. I like that the cream is very movable and once you massage it in the shine completely fades away. The cream soaks into the skin and becomes very matte. That's one of the things I absolutely love. It gives me the perfect matte skin. Application of foundation over the cream is a dream. 

The cream has a fruit smell, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Somehow it reminds me of Fructis and I don't know why.

I love this cream, because it's a perfect cream for the summer, especially for me with mixed to oily skin. My T-zone can get really oily in the summer, which ruins my makeup. I do however need moisture from the cream and this one gives it all. It really feels like the moisture soaks into the skin and does the job there. I never felt my skin was dry. It's also very matte, which means prolonging the wear of my makeup and no weird shine on the face. Love it! I am not a huge fan of smelly creams, but the smell is actually really nice. I also love the fact that it feels very soothing on my skin. As I've mentioned many times, I have very sensitive skin and this cream didn't irritate my skin at all. No red patches or itchiness. Let me tell you, finding a face cream, with a matte texture and the one that doesn't irritate, isn't as easy as it looks. The creams for sensitive skin are always the ones for dry skin - which mine isn't. 

On the photo below you can see the light texture of a cream in the first photo, the shiny finish of cream right after application and the last photo of absolutely matte skin after the cream soaks into the skin (takes about 4 minutes). 


I am really pleased with this cream because it gives me matte surface, doesn't irritate, smells nicely and feels moisturizing enough. Perfect cream for summer!


Pred kratkim sem od Green Line dobila njihovo Hydro Mineral lahko vlažilno kremo za mešano do mastno kožo. Krema mi je izjemno všeč. 

Embalaža je plastična, ki je meni ljubša, saj jo lažje prenašam in ponovno uporabim. V embalaži je 50 ml izdelka za približno 7€. Krema vsebuje papajo, spirulino in meni-najbolj-zanimivo mineralno vodo Radenska. Ne vsebuje parabenov. Namenjena je vsem, ki imajo mešano do mastno kožo in stari preko 25 let. 

Krema naj bi uravnavala količino vlage in maščob v koži, ožila pore, obnavljala kožne celice, spodbujala naravno tvorjenje kolagena, gladila prve gubice, poživljala polt in ne puščala mastnega sijaja.

Krema je zelo zelo lahke teksture, a hkrati dovolj vlažilna. Diši zelo sadno. Krema se zelo lepo razmaže, deluje vlažilno in se zelo hitro vpije v kožo. Na začetku je lahka in se sveti, čez nekaj minut pa postane popolnoma mat. Mat finiš mi je izjemno všeč. Je odlična podlaga za pod makeup in celo podaljša obstojnost makeup, zaradi mat finiša. Zelo mi je všeč, da dovolj vlaži in hkrati matira, kar pomeni, da je perfektna kombinacija kreme za vroče poeltne dni. Všeč mi je tudi to, da je zelo nežna in primerna za občutljivo kožo. Sama imam zelo občutljivo kožo in mi krema ni povzročila nobenih iritacij. Mat finiš in primernost za občutljivo kožo jo naredi popolno kremo za poletne dni. Vsekakor jo priporočam.

Review: Dr.Sheller Jojoba Oil & Schisandra Soothing Moisturizing Care

Today's review is about a complimentary product to one of Dr.Sheller's that I already reviewed. You can read the review here. Since I liked their serum so much, I decided to try the cream as well.


This product is supposed to be soothing moisturizing care, which reduces light redness and offers lasting protection against the development of new skin irritations. It's designed for sensitive skin, which mine is.


The cream is white and a bit thicker. It's thin enough to spread easily on the skin. It also soaks in really quickly. Behind, it leaves a moisturizing, somewhat sheen on the skin, but the feeling is very matte. The cream has a pretty subtle smell, nothing offensive and it does not smell like the serum. I feel like the cream has more neutral smell, although nothing distinctive that I could describe.


I like that it's not too heavy, which a lot of creams for sensitive skin are. I like that it dries and soaks quickly and it definitely makes my skin less irritated. I feel like the combination of serum and cream work great as far as reducing any irritations on sensitive skin. If you're skin is very sensitive, then this is a great cream.

However, it has a problem. The problem being that if you touch the skin after you've put on the cream or start to put on other product over it, it literally starts to peel off. The more you try to rub the skin, the more the cream starts to peel off. Such a shame, because I really like the benefits of using this cream on my skin. I noticed this when I applied foundation over it with a brush and my face started peeling off. Not good.


Now, I use the cream whenever my skin feels really irritated. I mostly use it at night, because then this is my last step in the routine. I also spread the cream with a very light pressure and quickly. Once this sets, it's better not to touch it. It won't come off, unless you rub it.

It costs something around 10 € (13$ or 8£) and you get 41 grams of product.

I think I won't be buying this cream again. It's a shame, because it works great with my skin, but I just can't be bothered to only use it when I know I won't be putting anything on top. And even that I have to do quickly and in a fairly thin layer.

Review: Weleda Soothing Cleansing Milk (Almond)

I found a new face cleaning product that works for me - yey. I have to say I have been splurging on skin care, a bit too much lately. I've just realized that I'm not 16 anymore and I need to start treating my skin better. So expect more skin care to come. 


Today it's about Weleda Soothing Cleansing Milk and it's from their Almond collection, which is for sensitive skin, I think. It comes in a paper box. I'm not so fond of the packaging. It's... what is this material - metal?! You know really hard to squeeze out every little bit of it. Plus the metal packaging breaks and doesn't fit back into its first shape... I just don't like it that much. Would prefer it, if it would be plastic. It's pretty hard to squeeze it out, when there's only a little bit left. Not a winner in this department.


It contains 75 ml of milk and I bought it for 8.85€. I'm not jumping up and down for this price, either.

Let me say that the cleansing milk starts to use up really quickly. What I mean 75 ml isn't much for the consistency and how much I need to use for one face wash.

The product itself is really nice. It's definitely consistency of a milk, but not a very thick one. I find that you need quite a bit to really massage it all over the face. It's white and blends nicely onto the skin. It does leave a really clean feeling right after washing it off. You know what I mean, when there's almost no moisture left on the skin. It's not that bad, because it does leave behind moisture layer, but nothing extremely moisturizing.  The layer is very thin and it reappears on the skin a bit later. It's probably not the best for dry skin. One of the ingredients in it is almond oil, but surprisingly it does not feel oily at all. The smell is very neutral and something like marzipan - I actually love marzipan so I love the smell as well. No perfume or anything, I think that's all natural smell. As far as taking off makeup - not the best for something extremely long lasting. I use this milk as the last step of the face cleaning. Before, I still like using my cheaper milks, just to get the bulk of makeup off.


My skin seems to love it and you know I have sensitive skin. So, I would recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin, but probably not the best for very dry skin. I would also like if this would come in a bigger packaging for the same price, preferably.

I guess this is just one of those products that I absolutely love the product, but everything else is just a fail. The packaging is just so not practical at all and there's way too little product in it for the price. I would say I'll repurchase it, but probably not. What a shame, because the product is absolutely awesome.

Review: Martina Gebhardt Sheabutter Tonic

Continuing my product reviews from Ecco Verde, this one is going to be about sheabutter tonic from Martina Gebhardt. I have never been a real fan of tonics and that's exactly why I decided to buy this one. It had some very promising description.

So the company owns Martina Gebhardt and her company looks like a bigger version of house. So cool. Not one of those extremely large skin care brand. I liked her philosophy for her products. She said that her products contain only those ingredients that are necessary and that complement each other to create the special, magical essence that exceeds the sum of its individual components.

This tonic is supposed to refresh, tone especially sensitive skin, prone to inflammation. It cleans, works as and astringent, regulates the amount of oiliness and improves skin's natural acid mantle. 

Here is the ingredients list:
I haven't own that much tonics, but those that I did were either too full of alcohol or had some irritating ingredients in it. This one feels really nice on the skin. It's a fluid that I spread all over my face with a cotton pad. The smell of it is very subtle, nothing special or characteristic about it. It feels very hydrating, but not greasy in any form. It makes my skin feel like a layer of moisture has been put on. It doesn't tighten the skin or makes it irritated. Very good for sensitive skin or skin prone to irritations. I also find that it cleans the last of my makeup and it moisturizes nicely. It also feels very soothing. I use it in the morning after cleansing and in the evening. 

I guess this is one of those products good for if you want a thin layer of moisture and are a bit lazy. Because this is extremely easy to use and it does makes the skin hydrated. 

It comes in a glass bottle in a spray form. I bought 30 ml version for 9.89 €, which is not cheap but not overly expensive either. You can also buy it in the 100 ml version.

Review: Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser

While browsing through the online store I couldn't help but not noticed Pai. This is a brand that formulates products with sensitive and allergy-prone skin in mind. Perfect for me! Their slogan is Pai organic solutions for sensitive skin. The product that stood out to me was the Dual Action Facial Cleanser & Eye Make-up Remover. 

It says: Pai Camellia & Rose Hydrating Cleansing Cream gently removes dirt, make-up and other impurities that build on the skin throughout the day. Bursting with Omega 3 and Vitamins A, B & E, it replenishes the skin's moisture barrier, leaving it soft and supple. Suitable for all sensitive skin types, the Pai Hydrating Cleanser is detergent and alcohol-free, so won't dry out or irritate skin. It is designed for use around the eyes to remove even waterproof mascara.

Here you can see the ingredients list, which is impressing in my opinion. Especially when you go to the drugstore and look at those ingredients lists, this one seems to be a breath of fresh air. 


Now what do I think about it? I think it's amazing. Especially for my sensitive a-lot-of-times irritated skin. Most of cleansers irritate my skin and leave red spots on my face. Sometimes accompanied by itchiness. This cleanser didn't do any of that. 

The product comes in a plastic tube with a pump system. Very hygienic. One pump is enough for the entire face. The texture seems to be a mixture of a cream and a foam. Something in between. But once you start putting it on a damp skin it becomes very slippery or even greasy. Not like butters, but pretty greasy, which of course helps with the cleansing a lot. After you take it of with a muslin cloth or water it leaves on your skin a really nice moisturizing layer. And I'm not thalking anything greasy, like my Balea Med does - which I have figured out since using this one, but just a layer that gives your skin back the moisture. The skin doesn't feel dry or tight at all. I love the feeling of it. I also love the smell. I can't explain what it smells of, but it's very light almost soothing smell. It reminds me of a sweet chamomile.


Now as far as makeup removing capabilities goes I kind of don't entirely agree with Pai. I have tried to remove my eye makeup and it did a brilliant job with the Maybelline Color Tattoo, however not the same with mascara. I personally can't imagine using a cleanser to remove my eye makeup, because I am so used to using Bioderma or any kind of water for that.  As far as waterproof makeup goes, I haven't tried, because I don't wear waterproof makeup. Now foundations... I tried removing my foundation with it, but not the best. The lines around my nose or in between brows, that's where the foundations got stuck and I couldn't remove it. What I am saying is, a light coverage makeup might go away with just using this cleanser, however anything heavier I wouldn't recommend. I was surprised that while putting it on my eyes it did not irritate my eyes at all. Thumbs up for that!

I use this cleanser in the morning and in the evening after removing my makeup. And for that it is brilliant. I find that it soothes my skin and I never get any red spots. I swear my skin feels less irritated since using all of the products combined, which I have purchased on Ecco Verde. 

I got a 50 ml version, but you can get also 100 and 200 ml. 50 ml version costs 17.99 €. Not the cheap cleanser, but worth it if you really struggle to find something for sensitive skin. I would also recommend this to anyone with dry skin. I think it would be perfect for those, because dry skin can also be irritated because of the dryness. 

I'll admit it is more expensive product from what I usually use, but if I can invest in a good hair mask, I'll probably be investing in this too, since my skin is a bit demanding and it's hard to find a product that works.

Ecco Verde Purchase

Hey Beauties!

I had the opportunity to buy some products from Ecco Verde and I grabbed the chance, right away. I admit I have not been buying from them before, but I did have my eye on their online store before. When I saw that they had the entire section for neurodermatitis, I couldn't hide my excitement.


Ok, little story from the past for anyone who's interested. Who's not, skip this section. Basically I was diagnosed with neurodermatitis when I was 4 years old. It was difficult in that time, because there was no cure, except cream full of corticosteroids, which are pretty bad for you long term and actually make skin thinner. My problem was I was allergic to everything form food, to dust, animals so on. I scratched my skin so much, that it started bleeding. So I constantly had scabs. I won't go into detail that of course I had a very low self-esteem because of that. I did get a new doctor in seventh grade and a new cream, which changed my life. As you may see from the photos now, my skin looks great (well, you have nothing to compare to - but believe me it beats the scabs!).

So... My skin is combination to oily and still very sensitive. My allergy still shows in forms of irritations and occasional red spots on my skin. Many products don't work for me, because they irritate my skin and I get redness and sometimes even itchiness. BUT, I have for you some products that did work for my sensitive skin and I would love to share my experience with those products with you.

Ecco Verde gave me free hands to choose which ever products I wanted and I chose Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser, Martina Gebhardt Sheabutter Tonic and Dr. Sheller Jojoba Oil & Schisandra Soothing Intensive Serum. As a little treat I also bought Badgers Sleep Balm, because I do have trouble sleeping a lot of times.

Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser is amazing. I especially love the smell of it and the feeling that it leaves on the skin.

Martina Gebhardt Sheabutter Tonic is very hydrating. Not greasy at all, as shea butter might suggests.

Dr. Sheller Jojoba Oil & Schisandra Soothing Intensive Serum is my favorite products of them all. I never used oils before and now I'm definitely not going off this one. Amazing! Especially for sensitive skin.

Badger Sleep Balm is a fun product. Don't expect it to be a sleeping pill. It's more of a fun night treatment :). 

I really liked all of the products and will do a separate post for each, to review it in depth. I guess all I can say is, if you're interested in any of these products keep an eye on my posts.


And big thank you to Ecco Verde for letting me chose some products in their online store. I didn't even know that, but they ship to many European countries. Their delivery was very quick, I think I got it the second day. I highly recommend them. They sell natural cosmetics and body care. I have to admit they have some great brands. Oh and can I just say, finally! One Slovenian online shop that actually has Paypal as an payment option. Yes, other Slovenian online stores, this is a good example for you!

Review: Bioderma Sensibio Eye, Eye Contour Gel

Hey Beauties!

You know my love for the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution. Well, I needed to repurchase it and Lekarnar.com had an offer. I bought Micelle Solution 250 ml and got with it this eye cream. I also got a lot of Bioderma testers from their page and I had this eye cream in between those and I really loved it. So I decided to buy the bigger version.


This moisturizing gel is supposed to reduce puffiness, soothe, erase lines and moisturize. It doesn't contain parabens, phenoxyethanols and perfumes. It's for those with sensitive and intolerant skin.

The packaging is a tube, which has a little point in the end so you can really squeeze out the tinniest amount of product, which is really nice. It contains 15 ml of product and it costs around 13 €, depending on where you buy it. I got it with Bioderma Micelle Solution (250 ml) for 16.92 €.



I don't detect any smell at all. It's gel, which makes it very easy to apply. No pulling on the skin to try and spread it. I really like the texture. It soaks in the skin quickly, but it definitely leaves a moisturizing feeling on the skin. The skin does feel moisturized and it feels also a bit soothing. I especially like to put it on after cleaning my face and it does soothes the irritant skin around my eyes. I also have a feeling that moisturizing effect seems to last for a really long time. The gel doesn't irritate my eyes at all and I do have very sensitive eyes and skin in general. I can't talk about decrease of lines, because I would need to be using it for a long time to see the results in that department. I also don't have puffy eyes so can't rate this, either.


I really like it, because I believe that the most what an eye cream can do is moisture the sensitive skin around my eyes. I love it int he morning when I haven't had a lot of time to sleep, because it feels pretty soothing for me. I put it on at night and like the fact that when I wake up I feel like my skin around the eyes is still moisturized and soft enough. At the same time the gel is not like some eye creams, which just feel tightening and actually don't do anything else.

Conclusion: soothes, great for sensitive skin, love the gel texture, feels moisturizing.
