Hey Beauties!

You've probably heard me rave about Maybelline Colorama nail polishes. I think this is one of my favorite drugstore brands for nail polishes. I also love Bourjois and Revlon, but Maybelline's are just so cheap. So today I decided to feature some other shades that I've gotten lately.

I saw these blushes in the store so many times and never took a second look. Until I saw them on some blogs. I only have 3 powder blushes, so I am starting to realize I should buy more blushes not nail polishes :).


I bought this light peach Maybelline Colorama blush in the shade 101. It's a light peach to pink shade with gold shimmer. The packaging is plastic black and transparent. The blush is really small, great to carry around. It doesn't say on the packaging how much blush it contains. It costs 2.89 €, which I think is a great price.



When I swatched it, I got almost no color, just the shimmer. It swatches very light, but you can definitely build up the color. I like it, because I am used to pigmented blushes and this one seems to be a nice change. To just get a little flush of color is refreshing.


The shimmer in it is gold, so perfect for warm skin tones or anyone who wants a nice gold glow to cheeks. I actually think that it acts as a highlighting blush. I love the sheen and glow that it gives to the skin, but up close the shimmer is too big for my taste. I do like the overall effect, though. Oh and warning the shimmer can transfer to you boyfriend's face, so maybe not the best blush for cuddling :).


Now, if only blogger wouldn't blur most of my photos. Gosh! Do you have this problem too? I don't know how to get rid of blogger alternating my photos anytime I upload them. Maybe blogger compresses them, since they are really big. Anyways, here is how it looks like on me.

Conclusion: pretty fair shade for all those fair ladies, a bit too big shimmer, great because it gives a highlighting effect, not for those who want extremely pigmented matte blushes.

If you saw my last nail art you saw this beautiful classic red nail polish from Maybelline. I wanted to make a separate post about this shade. I really like the classic red nail polishes and funny enough don't have more then one of these shades. You know my love for Maybelline nail polishes and when I saw this classic, I had to get it.


Its a beautiful classic red, with a more orange undertone. Perfect for this holiday season and anyone who loves classics.

The nail polish is pretty thin and one coat can still show through some of the nail. Two coats should be enough, but don't expect crazy creamy and pigmented nails. I think that is exactly the beauty of Maybelline's nail polishes. They're very thin in consistency, which makes them pretty long lasting. And I love long lasting nail polishes.

For the price of 2 something € you get 7 ml of product. Totally worth it.

I will be reviewing a typical fall shade, which is a very deep vampy red nail polish by Maybelline.


The shade is called 261. I know, just a number, how boring. The shade is a really nice deep deep almost black red wine. I guess it falls in the range of oxblood or red wine or vampy red shades. I love it. I also can't believe I didn't have a similar shade in my collection. Such a shame.



One coat of this nail polish is actually a very thin layer of dark red color. The second heavier coat turns the color as it looks like in the bottle, very dark almost black red. I would recommend at least two coats. The second coat needs to be heavier in order to get all the nail covered somewhat evenly.




The nail polish is pretty thin in texture, so a few more coats shouldn't be a problem. The bottle is glass with plastic top. The bottle holds 7 ml of nail polish and I think it costs around 2,50€, which is also very nice. As I have said many times, Maybelline nail polishes tend to last pretty long on my nails. Well at least, longer then most of the other drugstore and even some high end nail polishes.

I saw this Maybelline Polka Dots collection a few weeks ago and wanted to try it. I only saw the colored ones, but then I finally got the transparent one :)




The shade, or should I say the dots, are called 197. Such a shame that they don't name their polishes. It's basically transparent nail polish with hexagons. The name is a little off, if you ask me, because it doesn't contain dots, but hexagons. The hexagons are about three different sizes from small to bigger. They are black and white.


The packaging is a basic glass bottle, with also a very basic brush, which is not thin nor wide. It costs 2,49 € and you get 7 ml of nail polish. I think the price is perfect and I have already mentioned before, that I really like the long lasting power of Maybelline nail polishes.

I really like this as a top coat to get that extra of nail manicures. I think any manicure with this nail polish as a top coat instantly looks like you've tried very hard. I also like that it is transparent so you can use it on top of every nail polish color. The only problem I seem to have is choosing the right shade to still show black and white hexagons. If you go too light, the white hexagons are not seen enough, if you go to dark, the black hexagons get lost :). I know, I am complicating this way too much :)). Oh, and it is also a bit harder to get full amount of every single size and color of hexagons. Sometimes you get most of the whites, then on the other hand, you have more blacks... I think I made it clear - it's a hard choice for very perfectionist people :).
