Review: L.O.V. Highlighting Drops, Lash Primer, Magnetic Loose Eyeshadow and Volume Gloss

L.O.V. was previously in our Müller stores, but then they discontinued the brand. Now it's back, but only in online shop - Ličila.si. I think we all missed it. It's a sister brand to Catrice and Essence, but a much more elegant and slightly higher priced. I have a few of their products and the quality did not disappoint. I received and tested some more. Here are my thoughts.

L.O.V. LOVglow Highlighting Drops - 020 Sunlight Glow

Packaging

Highlighting drops come in glass packaging with gold design. Design reminds me of oriental prints and I love it. It's gorgeous. It comes with a dropper that allows you to control the drops.

In it is 9 ml of product and I believe the price was around 8€. I'm listing Austrian prices, because I can't find a lot of these products in Slovenia.

Formula

It's not too liquid and it has a bit of an oily feel once you start to blend it in. As it dries down, it doesn't move and isn't greasy at all. Fairly lightweight in terms of texture and the shimmer is super fine. It's probably the most subtle glow I have seen in a while.

You can use it as an all over glow on its own, apply it as a highlighter or even mix it in with foundation. I like to use it as a primer. As highlighter it's too weak for my personal taste. But this is great on its own, if it fits your skin tone.

Color

020 Sunlight Glow is light warm yellow toned gold. The more you layer it, the darker it looks and it becomes more of a bronze shade.

 Performance

It's a very subtle product, so I don't notice it on the skin as much. It won't give you much of an impact, but it lasts well on the skin. I would think of this more as something to mix in with foundation or use on its own for that subtle healthy sheen looking skin.

L.O.V. RoyaLASH Superior Strength & Volume Lash Primer

Packaging

It comes in a silver metallic looking packaging. It has that regular natural bristles wand which applied product well. Better than I expected. It's coats the lashes fairly evenly

In it is 9 ml of product and it costs around 10€

Formula

This is supposedly lash primer that should help make your lashes look bolder, stronger and more voluminous in 30 days. You apply it before applying your regular lash mascara.

Formula is just right, not too wet nor too dry. It coats the lashes well and definitely makes them thicker looking as well as slightly longer

Performance

I can't say I saw a difference with how my actual lashes look like. But I like this primer in general for making my lashes create volume without too much building up. I used it with Maybelline Lash Mascara which is more of a lengthening and defining mascara. Volume is not the best with it, but with this lash primer underneath my lashes definitely look thicker. Which I like. It also don't clump them up and it coats them so quickly. I never had problem with my mascara crumbling off or smudging, so it's good in my book.

L.O.V. EYEttraction Magnetic Loose Eyeshadow 510 METALfusion

Packaging

It comes in a muted glass round pot with black plastic top

In it is 0.5 grams of product and it costs around 10€

Formula

It's a loose formula that is kept in the packaging by a magnet which creates stripes pattern. It actually doesn't spill or fall out, even if you turn it around which is convenient.

As you touch it with fingers it feels like you're touching velvet. There can be some fallout while applying. It has buildable formula. Finish is metallic. Shimmer in it is more of fine. You can apply it dry or wet. If you apply it wet if almost looks foiled. Pigmentation also depends on your application. Applied drier it's sheerer and wetter it's much more pigmented

Colors

There are several colors available all in fairly wearable tones. 510 METALfusion is medium taupe brown with purple and silver sheen. On more warmer skin tones it may look a lot more purple toned which I love.

Applied wet

Performance

It wears good, but I do notice some fading, if I apply it dry. Applied wetter it keeps color intensity better. It also wasn't that easy to blend out on the edges. I feel like it grabbed on certain parts.

L.O.V. LOVlicious Caring Volume Gloss 100 Mystic Sand

Packaging

It comes in plastic transparent packaging with black plastic top. It has slanted fluffy sponge  applicator which applies product nice.

In it is 6 ml of product and it costs around 6€.

Formula

It's apparently enriched with Tsubaki oil. I love this formula. It sticks to the lips so well and feels almost a bit thicker, but not heavy on the lips. Pigmentation is really nice for a lip gloss. I would almost consider it lip gloss liquid lipstick hybrid. If you apply more you get a nice coverage.

Colors

All the shades are wearable and there is a nice range of nudes. 100 Mystic Sand is warm pink brown nude. I love the shade. It's warm enough to suit me and not too pink, but more of a brown based nude. Basically, my kind of nude. Just enough color and warmth.

Performance

This holds on the lips really well. It's long lasting for lip gloss formula and doesn't feel sticky or heavy. But it is one of those richer glosses. It's just one of those ultra comfortable formulas.

Wearing all L.O.V. products, eyeshadow is applied dry

Highlighting drops are in my opinion too weak of a highlight. I would prefer something shinier. This is really subtle. But the formula is nice to mix in with foundation or use as a really natural primer. Lash primer works nice, I notice my lashes building volume quicker and they look thicker. Metallic eyeshadow is nice too. I'm not too big on loose eyeshadows, because there is some fallout and you need to build it up dry. But it looks nice applied wet. It could be more pigmented, but the shade is actually really pretty. Lip gloss is definitely my favorite product. I love those thicker glosses that feel so comfortable on the lips. Shade is also the perfect nude that goes with everything and it's well pigmented.

I am kind of sad that this brand is not available in physical stores here. Online the selection is poor and usually sold out. It would be nice to bring it back to Müller, the quality is mostly great.
