This last weekend I had a chance to pick up some  Revlon products. Most of them were my first purchase. I wanted to share my thoughts with you on this brand.

I bought PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, ColorStay foundation for combination/oily skin, ColorStay concealer and my-most-happy-new-purchase Colorburst Lip Butter.



Revlon Colorstay Foundation (around 13 €)

Revlon ColorStay foundation has been my friend for a few years. I already spoke about this foundation here. Just to recap I love this foundation because it has a medium to full coverage and it lives up to its name-color stay. I like to put it on the back of my hand and use a foundation brush with it. By the time I finish, I have real difficulties removing it. If you wish for a staying foundation-that's it. It can get a bit cakey though.



Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer (around 16 €)

The problem is resolved if you use their Photoready Perfecting Primer. I used it twice and I love it. I feel that my foundation and make up stays on a lot longer than it did before. I never used any primer before, so I am very happy I have this one. I wanted to buy it for such a long time, but couldn't get it. I highly recommend it for any occasions when you want your foundation to stay put. It also makes a nice skin base for the foundation, which goes on smoother and looks nicer. You need very little and I mean VERY little for the whole face. In the packaging is white and it becomes transparent when you put it on. The package is glass with plastic pump and plastic top. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the smell. The smell is, well, nothing nice, nothing floral or fruity, but more of an acid smell of wall paint or something from that department. In my consolation, that is probably more natural, since it doesn't have any additional perfumes:).



Revlon ColorStay Concealer (around 7 €)

The next thing I got to match with my foundation was ColorStay concealer. I saw only three shades of this and picked up the lightest. It was the right color for me. It is lighter than my foundation, which I like, since I want to cover up darker spots on my face. It has a yellow undertone, which was surprising. My foundation is more or less a neutral undertone  more greyish than yellow or pink. The consistency is pretty thick and it covers nicely. I love that it looks like a lip gloss, because it is very easy to use and very nice to have in the bag on the go. The smell is in the Revlon "range" :). I find that their ColorStay concealer and foundation smell like clay. I don't have a problem with it, as long as the product is good. The packaging is plastic.



Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter (around 10 €)

The least and most exciting thing I purchased was my first ever Revlon Lip Butter in 095 Creme Brulee. First of all that is not a lip butter. It is a lipstick. It is a bit sheerer than some of the lipsticks, but still it's lipstick. The only thing that lives up to the name butter is the feeling on the lips. It sits nicely on the lips and it gives a feeling of moisture. It doesn't stick into the lines and it has a pretty good coverage. My color is a perfect nude for me with what looks like multi shimmer in it. You can built up the intensity of color. I am very pleased with it because they have a nice range of colors, it feels nicely moisturizing on the lips and it has a very slight subtle smell . I can't explain the smell, but is definitely nothing invasive. The only thing I don't like is the packaging. In my opinion the handle to open it up is too small. It's the same problem I don't like with Maybelline lipsticks.

The sun is my best friend when I want to feel happy. I don't like the heat that comes with it, but I love me some sun. I wanted to make sunny make-me-happy make up look, that was colorful, yet subtle.


Since I have shimmering coastal scents palette I had a lot of different shades to pick from. If you want a variety of colors I highly recommend purchasing one of their palettes.

I used mixture of rose and orange color on my lid (the orange color form essence Return to Paradise collection in 01 Cockatoo). In the inner corners I used gold eye shadow.







Then I used some chocolate brown color in the crease and outer part of the eyes. I also used the same color as an eyeliner. Then I applied some mascara.



On my cheeks I used my  Essence Miami Roller Girl blush in 01 Dates on Skates. As a highlighter I used Catrice Prime and Fine Highlighting Powder for Luminous Glow in 01 Fairy Dust. This is my favorite combination to use on the cheeks. The orange color in the blush palette and gold highlighter.


I have a story about that highlighter. I was in a store looking at the Catrice products and saw that they had discount on some of them. Without even looking at it, I picked up that highlighter, since it was the only shade there and went to pay for it. The saleswoman said to me that this product does not have any discount, because the discount is on the other shade of that highlighter. I decided to buy it anyway. When I came home I was horrified by the rose color in the packaging. But when I tried it on it was a pure light gold color on my cheeks. It is such a nice color, but in the packaging it looks totally different. Looks can be deceiving (doh! since I haven't even tried the tester :) ).

On the lips I used Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in 605 Precious Beige. On top of that I put H&M lip gloss in Summer Gold. I wanted to achieve beige, yet gold looking lips.




I was wondering what do you prefer? Orange/gold cheeks or pretty rose/pink ones? 

Lately, I was really enjoying making my own jewelry. I like any kind of chain jewelry, rings, bracelets and many more. I've tried to make this bow design out of regular clay and it was a pain in the a**. Fortunately, I "discovered" art store and modelling clay.



For this jewelry design I had in mind some pastel colors, so I picked peach and mint modelling clay. Each was around 1,60€. In my opinion it's very cheap, since you can make a lot out of it.



Bow design

To make a bow I took a small peace of clay and rolled it into a ball. Then I rolled it into cylinder. I can't find a better word for this shape. But you know what I mean - a long stick. Each end I thinned out a bit, so that it won't stick out in the back. Then I used a glass jar to roll over and flatten it.

Then I rolled each end together. I turned the model around and with a knife draw on two lines to represent the crease of the bow. After that I just squeezed the model in the middle.


I took another small peace of clay, rolled it into a ball, then a stick and flattened it. I rolled it over the middle part of the bow. And that is it. Then all I did was baked it in the oven as it was instructed on the clay.

Really simple design and easy to make. After that I played around with the clay. Created some multicolor bows and some other things. You can see below, that I went a bit overboard. When I start something I just can't stop :). It was so much fun doing it. Just a small advice long nails and clay - not the best match. Make sure that you won't stick your nails into designs.



When my designs cooled down I went on to decorating them. I used nail polishes to create glitter on bows and made them shiny with clear top coat. I added chains, studs, beads and many more.



I incorporated bow designs into making bow bracelets, bow rings, bow key chain and bow necklace.  Wow...what didn't I do? Oh yeah, earrings: )).


I also did a fox ring, because I once saw some in the stores and really wished it, but it was way too expensive. So, I did my own inspired one :).
