Warm red fall makeup look

Hey Beauties!

Fall is officially here and I have to say it has been almost warmer then summer. I love the fact that I can still walk around in thin sweaters and don't need to wear heavy jackets yet. So with the season, comes new makeup look. I also tend to lean towards darker lipsticks and darker eye makeup. Today's look is one of those that I've been wearing a lot this month, because it's just so easy and I think the red based shades actually suit my skin tone and especially my hair color. But I think the makeup look is very universally flattering.


I used cream eyeshadow, which has a warm red base with golden shimmer. After that I applied red based brown eyeshadow all over the lid. On the lower lid, I just put the same red based brown eyeshadow. 


In the inner corner of the eye, I used light gold shade to highlight it and give it more warmth. It wouldn't be my kind of staple look without the winged eyeliner and lots of mascara.Very quick and basic eye makeup.



On my lips I mixed two shades of lipstick. One is a more neutral red shade and the other is more of a plum shade. It gave me the perfect amount of red and purple hues.


On the face I did the usual - foundation, concealer, powder. Then I used bronzer as all over bronzed look and I used gold highlighter on the high points of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, tip of the nose and cupids bow. I used a brick shade for the blush. It has the perfect amount of red and orange in it. On my nails I used a very deep violet black shade.




Do you like to go darker in the fall, too? For me the fall season is one of those times when I tend to reach for darker and bolder nail polishes as well as makeup.

Plum Seduction

Hey Beauties!

Fall is here. And I know that, because I will have to move and study again in two weeks :( . Bummer... But that means fall makeup, which is probably my favorite season of makeup. Because I love plum, purple, cranberry and brown shades. I decided to make a makeup look consisting of all those shades. Hope you like it ;)


First I filled in my brows. Then, I used a big fluffy brush to apply Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze for the base. This way the eye shadows will pop more and stick to the lid. Then I took a flat eye shadow brush and put dark cranberry red eye shadow on the mobile part of the lid only. I blended that with a clean fluffy brush.


I took a crease brush and put purple color into the crease of the eye. I took purple based dark brown and mixed it with grey dark brown eye shadow and applied it on the outer corner of the eye. I also winged it out in a wing like shape. 


I used a cotton pad with eye make up remover and removed any fallout. 


On the bottom I used smaller flat eye shadow brush and applied the same purple shade as before all over the lower lash line. I put cranberry red only on the center of the lower lash line. Then I put both dark brown shades in the outer edge of the lower lash line. Blend, blend, blend :).


On the inner corner of the eye I put a blend of peach and gold eye shadow. Then I curled my lashes. My favorite step, because it just makes such a difference :).


I applied mascara on both top and bottom lashes. 


Here is the eye makeup. For a more wearable look you can stop here, apply light pink blush and nude lipstick and you're done. But I am just getting started :).




On my lips I applied plum lipstick (Avon Perfect Kiss lipstick in Deep Orchid). For the cheeks I used a mixture of bright red and pink blush. I also put a bit of gold highlighter on the top of my cheeks. I slightly contoured my cheeks with a mixture of bronzer and grey eye shadow. 





I decided to also put on some fake eyelashes :).
