Review: By Nanda Three Color Blush (S01)

Hey Beauties!

By Nanda is a brand that I found on Born Pretty Store. I already reviewed their BB Cushion, which I absolutely loved. Today I'll talk about their three color blush.


It comes in a very cute paper box with cupcakes on. Cupcakes are actually my favorite sweets to bake. You can always count on cute Asian packaging. 


The blush is made of pink plastic with transparent lid. It's actually huge for a blush. It's almost bigger then my compact powders.

It's a baked blush, which means it should have great pigmentation and would also last you for a long time. I chose the lightest shade S01, because I really wanted something subtle. I have so many pigmented and bright blush. 

This shade has pink, light gold and orange stripes. All of the shades are light, but not as light as I expected. 


I swatched all the shades separately and then all together. So from left to right it's: pink, gold, orange and all together. 

Pink is quit warm toned and the least pigmented. Gold is very light shade and could almost be unnoticeable on my fairly light skin. Orange is actually the most pigmented, but it's light and looks more like peach. It's also the most shimmery. When you swirl them together you get a coral shade, which is more peach than pink. Because orange is the most pigmented it also stands out the most.


I am in love with this blush shade. It's the lightest blush shade I own. I love the fact that it has small shimmer in it, which makes it look very healthly glowy. This is especially nice for those colder days when blush instantly makes you look plumped. I almost think of it as highlighting blush. Gold shade could easily be a highlighter. Mixed together you get a highlighting blush and you can skip two steps and just do one in your makeup routine. 

I also decided to compare it with Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (which is my favorite blush ever) and I can say that the finish is similar. Luminoso is a lot more pigmented and actually has bigger sizes of shimmer than By Nanda. By Nanda has  really tiny shimmer, but looks a lot shinier than Luminoso. 


I hope you can see how softly flushed and healthy this looks on my cheeks.

I will say the pigmentation is not impressive. But that's also the reason why I love it. I don't love the building up (it could bi a tad more pigmented), but I love the fact that this means I get a very light shade on my cheeks. If you want something super pigmented, this is definitely not for you. I see it as a very sheer formula.



I really like it, because it is what I expected it to be. Very light, surprisingly shiny (almost highlighter like) blush. I also don't mind that it's more peachy than coral, because I prefer peach blushes. It's not super pigmented, so if you're looking for pigmentation, this is not gonna do it for you. But if you love Luminoso and highlighters and you have a light skin tone, then you'll love this.

Review: Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt and Contour Kit - Ultra Fair C01

A while ago Makeup Revolution Slovenia surprised some of Slovenian bloggers with some Makeup Revolution products. I got this contour kit, which has actually been on my wish list as a more affordable dupe for Sleek one. I got it in the Ultra Fair shade, which was exactly how I wanted it and I've been using it every single day since I got it, that's how much I like it.


In the palette is matte bronzer, shimmery highlighter and shimmery blush. The packaging is plastic and it has transparent lid. Nothing too exciting. It costs 4.95€ on Makeup Revolution Slovenia and 3.50£ on Makeup Revolution official site. You get 11 grams of product in the palette.


The bronzer is matte. It's warm toned brown and it's very pigmented. For some reason it seems to have some sort of sheen to it. No shimmer or any sort of particles like that, it just gives a little bit of sheen, so that it's not completely dusty. 

Highlighter is white based champagne. In the pan it looks more pink toned than it's actually on the skin. It's a pretty neutral, very light highlighter with shimmer so small that it gives of gorgeous sheen. It's very pigmented.

Blush is orange peach shade with gold sheen. I love it. Did I say I love gold anything? Yes, it has gorgeous gold, again, very small shimmer that adds beautiful shine. I will say be careful. I find that if I use fluffy brush, I get more of that peach shade and when I use denser brush I get a lot of that gold sheen. It looks more pink in the pan, but on me it's pretty peachy. I guess it might look different on cooler skin tone. It's also very pigmented.

What I like most about this product is that you can really build it up or make it very sheer. It all depends on what kind of brush you use and how much product you use on the brush. 

The bronzer can in fact be used on very light skin. If you use light touch, it will be very light and give you just a little bit of color. I like to put on more and then I can get that really bronzed look. You can actually build it up to a pretty dark shade. 




Highlighter can also be applied very sheer or strong. Of course I like my highlighter to be seen from space, so I put on a lot, but you can definitely go sheerer. As you can see the shimmer is really small.



I used fluffier bigger brush here, so I got a lot sheerer application and more of the actual peach shade on. I hope you can still see the golden sheen that it gives to cheeks. It's really gorgeous and very shiny, indeed.



And this is how it looks like applied all together. 


I decided to compare bronzer to Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder in 030 Medium Bronze and E.l.f. Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia. Elf is the most shimmery and the darkest. Catrice is actually completely matte and almost a bit more orange and a tiny bit darker. MR bronzer is in fact the lightest of those three and as you can see here, it just has that sheen to it, without actually having any shimmer in it.


MR highlighter almost looks the most shiny and the one with the most sheen in general. The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer is a lot more yellow based and it has that same shimmer intensity. P2 Glow Up! Highlighter 021 High Beam is very similar in color, but it's almost a bit more white and it has a more subtle sheen. I also decided to put in, now already discontinued, Catrice Prime and Fine Highlighting Powder in 010 Fairy Dust, because it looked similar in the pan, but it's actually a bit more yellow and the least shimmery of them all.


I am absolutely in love with this palette. If I knew I would like it so much, I would have bought it myself. It's very well pigmented, the shades I'll be able to use in the winter and in the summer and the shimmer is really subtle, yet it looks very shiny. And you know I like my highlighters to shine. If you're looking for something similar, I highly recommend you to try this. I will say, it's better suited for warm skin tones, because both bronzer and blush have a very warm undertone to it. I'll also say that both of these products would probably also look really good on medium skin tone. Highlighter would be too light, but bronzer and blush could work.

Review: Avon Ideal Flawless Cream Concealer (Fair)

If you don't know that, Avon has certain side offers, which you as a member can get in. They often offer you products half price, which will be available in the next catalog. Of course, I love buying those products, because the price is much lower and if something interests me, I go for it and don't feel as guilty. This was the case, with their new Ideal Flawless Cream Concealer.


It comes in this little practical black shiny plastic pot, which is really nice for carrying around. The closing works good, so you won't need to worry about it opening up in your bag. It costs 5.90€ and you get 1.4 ml of product. 


The shade, I chose is called Fair and let me tell you, it's actually fair. What?! I know?!


The texture of this concealer is really creamy. It literally feels like it's melting under your fingers. It also has a very good pigmentation. Once it touches the skin it tends to go matte almost into a powder finish. The real beauty of this one, and why I think you should get it, is the fact that it's creamy and non drying, which means you can use it under your eyes. It's also pigmented enough so that it will cover any blemishes, pimples and under eye darkness, if you layer it. The combination of creaminess, which makes application under the eyes a dream and doesn't go into fine lines and the pigmentation of it, is what sold me. 



If you're not convinced yet, let me tell you that this is the fairest concealer in my collection. Did I spark your interest yet, fair ladies? I know, I have a difficult time finding concealer that would be light or god forbid light-er than my foundation and this one is. You can see on the photo below that it's almost lighter than my skin tone. I find the shade to be pretty neutral, no yellow or pink undertone, just a really nice neutral shade. If I would need to choose, I would say it's more warm than cool toned, but still pretty neutral. 


I also wanted to showcase what it looks like and how it works on my skin. I used it over the red patch and hide a blemish with it.


I mostly love to use it under my eyes. It's so light that it highlights my under eyes and makes me look a lot fresher and woken up.


I will also say that I find the long lastingness pretty decent. It stays put for a really long time. Of course it starts to fade away a little, but that is after several hours and the fact that my skin gets oily, doesn't necessary help. You can also build up the intensity or make it look really sheer, with how much you apply. 


Here you can see how it looks like compared to my other concealers. Catrice Velvet Finish in 030 Velvet Beige is pretty light, but it oxidizes to an orange color. Revlon Colorstay in 02 Light is the warmest yellow shade of them all. It's also darker than most of them. MAC Pro Longwear in NC15 is actually similar shade to Avon's, but when it oxidizes it's a bit darker then Avon's. Now Avon Ideal Flawless in Fair is the lightest shade of all of these and it's still the lightest when it oxidizes on the skin. It's warm toned, but still looks pretty neutral.



Creamy concealer, that doesn't dry out the skin, it has a good coverage, is pretty long lasting and fairer than most of drug store concealers. For me is going to be a must have from now on. Review: MAC Studio Finish Concealer (NC15)

Today's post is about the MAC Studio Finish Concealer, which I got together with MAC lipstick, which I reviewed here. My cousin send it to me from Germany and the plastic transparent round thing on the top actually fell out and stick into the concealer. That's why the ugly patter in the concealer. Don't worry the transparent thing pops right back in, so it's all good :).


I said to her to buy me the NC15 shade. I just did it by feeling, not knowing if the shade is going to suit me or not. The packaging is plastic black with silver shimmer, as are probably all of them. It clicks when you close it and it is a pretty strong system. It shouldn't open. It contains 7 grams of product and it cost me 20 €, which is a lot. As far as the texture goes it's pretty hard when you try to get it out of the pot. It does melt a little if you have it near the heat source or massage it between your fingers. It has a very non distinctive smell, which is barely noticeable and nothing special. It also contains SPF 35.


As far as the shade goes, it's a light pretty warm shade. It looks a bit light peach toned, almost a bit ashy sometimes - that's probably because the shade is so fair. It's definitely more for fair warmer ladies. It applies very sticky, because it is very pigmented and heavy concealer. Dries to a complete matte finish. However, I was not impressed by the power of it. It does starts to fade away after a while and what I really don't like is that it gets into those fine lines on your face. Absolutely not appropriate concealer for around the eyes or anywhere where there are any kind of lines. It is great for covering red spots on your face and especially good for pimples. It's also pretty drying. So I think that this works great only as a cover up and even that didn't impress me as much as it should. 


I tried to compare it to my other concealers. It is definitely harder in texture and more pigmented then Catrice's Camouflage Cream and it is also a lot lighter shade, but also a bit more pinkish toned than Catrice's Camouflage Cream in 010 Ivory. Revlon Colorstay Concealer in 02 Light is very different from both of them, since it is pretty liquid and very moisturizing. It is also the most yellow toned from all of these, so great for warmer ladies. NC15 shade is actually quite good match for me in the winter, since I do get very pale in the face. However, once I go on a bit of sun, it will definitely be more of a highlighter, since it won't be the best match shade for my foundations.

I'm sorry for terrible lighting, you know how it is in those gloomy winter days. I hope you kind of got the feeling in comparison to the other concealers, what this shade looks like. I don't think this was worth the money, since it didn't really impress me in any kind of way. I am kind of sorry for maybe not purchasing the pro longwear concealer. I guess I just had too big expectations, since this is the oh-so-famous MAC brand and this product was a let down. I though it would cover up anything and not go into my lines. But even with some very red spots, the redness was showing through.

If you have any recommendations as far as which MAC concealer is very pigmented and still moisturizing enough and has a heavy coverage, I'm open to any suggestions :).
