Palette comes with a brownish cardboard box with gold edges. For some reason it reminds me of gingerbread man - don't know why. Packaging of the palette is a tin shaped like a milk chocolate bar. Appropriate to the name of it. I find it really pretty, but a bit too bulky for carrying around. Maybe I've just gotten a bit more used to Zoeva slim palettes. However, this one feels a lot more secure. It also has magnetic closing. 

3D details are just as pretty and the whole packaging in general is a very fun design.

Inside you also get a mirror, which is actually useful for applying eyeshadow. In the palette are 16 shades. Some mattes, some shimmer and even one glittery. Tones are mostly neutral with a few pops of color. In the whole palette is 17,70 grams of product and I paid 44€ for it, which makes this the priciest eyeshadow palette I own.

If you're a beginner at makeup, you'll appreciate their notes on three of the looks that you can create with this palette. 

Texture of all eyeshadows is a pretty wet one. It's not already like a cream, but they are definitely not dry to the touch. Pigmentation is good (obviously better that most drugstore ones) which I expected from such a pricey palette. Dare I say that I think my Zoeva palettes are a bit more pigmented. If I touch Zoeva eyeshadows there's a lot more payoff than with Too Faced ones. That being said, Too Faced are just a bit less pigmented, but still a really good quality. I find that some of their shimmery shades loose intensity by blending them, which doesn't happen as much with Zoeva. Mattes in Too Faced are superb.

In the ingredients of these eyeshadows is also 100% natural cocoa powder. Some say that eyeshadows smell like cocoa, but Semi-Sweet Chocolate to me smells a bit more vanilla like. It's a very sweet smell. I never thought I would say this, but I love that this palette smells so good. It just gives you a whole different experience while applying on makeup. I am actually looking forward to leaving it open by my mirror, because it just smells so good.

Staying power is as expected. I can wear these for the whole day without any major fading or creasing. Of course, I always have eyeshadow primer underneath, because I never do an eye makeup without one. I don't notice any fallout except with glitters in the shades. Those tend to fall down like Pink Sugar and glitter from Cocoa Chili. If you overload your brushes with a lot of product you may get some fallout, especially with really dark shades. 

Licorice - matte black (great for deepening makeup looks or using it as an eye liner)

Coconut Creme - very light warm beige (perfect all over the lid base)

Nougat - cool matte muddy pink (it almost vanishes on my skin tone, I use it in the crease or as an all over the base)

Truffled - warm matte medium chocolate brown (great for deepening the crease or smoky eye)

Hot Fudge - cool dark brown with multi pink and gold shimmer (great for smoky eye or darkening outer lid part)

Cocoa Chili - warm matte medium brown with sparse gold glitter (great as an all over the lid shade)

Pink Sugar - cream like transparent base with gold and pink glitter (glitter with transparent base that can be put on top of any other shade - it falls down on under eye area and my camera doesn't pick it up on the photos)

Puddin' - cool matte medium taupe (good darker crease shade)

Blueberry Swirl - cool medium blue with blue and gold shimmer (pop of color on the lid)

Peanut Butter - warm matte light caramel brown (warm crease shade)

Frosting - warm bronze brown with gold shimmer (lovely all over the lid shade)

Rum Raisin - cool light taupe with silver shimmer (lighter all over the lid shade)

Mousse - neutral matte light camel brown (neutral brown for the crease)

Caramel - warm copper gold with gold shimmer (warm accent shade for the lid)

Bon Bon - warm light shimmery salmon (pink peach brown) (great lighter all over the lid shade)

Butter Pecan - warm light yellow nude with white and light yellow shimmer (perfect inner corner highlight)

Coconut Creme is my most used shade, because it's the perfect neutral matte shade to put all over the lid as a base. I adore Peanut Butter. It's my perfect warm crease shade, because I just love warm matte browns. On days when I want my crease to be a bit more neutral, I love to use Mousse. It's less dirty than theBalm Nude'tude Sultry and less yellow toned. I'm already making a dent in this shade that's how much I love it. Truffled is perfect for further defining and darkening the crease. I like that it's not too warm nor cool. 

My favorite basic shimmery brown has to be Frosting. It's not too warm, but just looks great all over the lid. Especially when you're in a rush. Of course, Caramel has to be my favorite shimmery shades. I love those warm copper golden shades. I also really like Bon Bon which is kind of unique to my collection. It can almost look a bit pink sometimes and sometimes it looks peach. This is a very subtle lid shade that doesn't stand out as much as Caramel. On rare occasions I also really like Blueberry Swirl, because it has such a lovely blue almost peacock sheen to it. It's not my every day shade, but it looks really nice with a smoky eye. 

I compared some of the shades with my other eyeshadows. Too Faced Caramel seemed similar to Zoeva Cocoa Blend Pure Ganache. Pure Ganache is more orange copper toned and Caramel is more yellow golden toned. Frosting seemed similar to Zoeva Cocoa Blend Subtle Blend, but is in fact less shimmery, lighter and more taupe based. Subtle Blend is a lot more shimmery, warmer, darker and more gold based. Peanut Butter looked very much like Zoeva Cocoa Blend Substitute for Love, but is again a bit different. Peanut Butter is more peachy while Substitute for Love is more yellow orange toned.

Hot Fudge is similar to theBalm Nude'tude Sophisticated, but not a dupe. Hot Fudge is darker, more purple grey and has a light pink and gold shimmer in it. Sophisticated is lighter, more brown and has a lot more shimmer, which is gold. One of my favorite shade of theBalm Nude'tude - Sultry, seemed similar to Mousse. Mousse is actually a bit more red based brown and Sultry is more yellow toned and more muddy looking. The only two shades that could easily be dupes are Coconut Creme and Zoeva Cocoa Blend Bitter Start. Both of these are your regular bone colored matte shades for all over the lid. I can't detect any difference between them.

It has a very fun looking and well made packaging. Eyeshadows have good pigmentation and you get a variety of shades as well as finishes. I'd say this is great neutral palette with lots of warm as well as cool toned shades. You also get a few colorful pops of shades for a bit more adventurous looks, but still very much in a comfort zone. Eyeshadows last all day long. Vanillary sweet scent of this palette is an added bonus and makes for a more pleasurable use (considering that you're not sensitive to scent). 

My problem with palettes that have a wide range of shades is that I'll never use all of the shades. In this case cooler toned shades are not in my daily use. However, it's a great basic palette for anyone that just wanst one palette to do many different looks with. Is it worth 44€? In all honesty, you do get a lot of shades and the quality is good, but me personally, I would probably rather buy one of the Zoeva Spectrum Palettes (assuming that the quality of the shades is as good as with my Cocoa Blend and Mixed Metals). These are a bit cheaper (around 35€) and offer around the same amount of product (15 grams). 

I'm still a bit said that I didn't get Sweet Peach. I think I'd like it a lot more, because the shades are not as neutral - I already have too many neutral eyeshadow palettes. That's probably the one palette that I would still love to try from Too Faced. 

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

While I was in France (read more about it here), I had to visit a few French pharmacies. There're known for having a lot of french skin care brands at lower prices. A lot of those pharmacies also carry larger sizes at a lower price. I got Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water, because it was 1+1 offer. This is my absolute favorite eye makeup remover, because it's the most sensitive micellar I've ever tried. 

Batiste Wild Dry Shampoo

No, I still don't have enough of these. I think the obsession is getting ridiculous. Whenever I see one of these, I just grab it. To be honest, Wild is my favorite scent and I can't get it in our country, so it was worth buying it. 

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette

This was one of the biggest purchases ever and I'm still not sure it was worth it. It's a lovely neutral palette. There's combination of warm and cool tones and one pop of blue. Some are already my favorites. In general, I don't think this is worth the price, at least not to me. I prefer Zoeva eye shadow textures and I think I might just buy those in the future (unless they decide to go up with their prices again). If the palette would have more my kind of shades, I would probably think differently about it.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Original

This has already impressed me so much. It's very sheer and looks like nothing on the lids, but it holds eye makeup so well. Whenever I wear this underneath, my eyeshadow never creases. I might even need to consider buying a full version.

Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I've grown to love this. At first I hated it, because it was just too wet. Actually it still is. I take most of it off and build it up slowly. It gives nice volume, but too much can make my lashes look a bit clumpy. I love the fact that it also makes my lashes a bit longer and it holds the curl well. 

Kiko Flawless Fusion Bronzer Powder 01 Natural Tan

I love this magnetic packaging so much that I just had to get another product and it was bronzer. Shade 01 is pretty light and it's too light for my summer tan now. It's neutral, almost a bit more redish based than orange and it doesn't look flat out matte, which I like. So far I'm loving it.

Kiko nail polishes are probably my favorite nail polishes of all time. They have a huge selection of colors and they last fairly well on my weak nails. When I saw that these were on sale for only 1€, I had to get them. I chose a lot of shimmery shades, because I already have a lot of creamy shades at home and those looked more unique. I love that Kiko makes interesting unique shades that you can't always find among other drugstore brands.

Plantae Sea Buckthorn Berry Night Cream*

I haven't fully made up my mind about these two products. This night cream has an interesting very natural herbal scent. It's lightweight and absorbs well into the skin. I'm not sure if this will be enough for colder months, but for now it nicely nourishes the skin

Plantae Bitter Orange Blossom Spritz*

I love the scent of this spritz. It's very bitter orange, very natural. It feels refreshing and adds slight layer of moisture to prepare the skin for further skin care. I love the feel of it on my face and I usually spritz quite a lot of it on. It's also great as a moist base that helps to absorb other products better.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Contouring Pencil in 071 Cherry Kiss and 011 Spice

I bought a few Rimmel products, because they were also on sale. In colder months, especially in fall, I love to use darker lipsticks and I love to line my lips with lip liners. I've tried these in the store and the formula seemed really buttery, but not too creamy. I got one purple shade for all my plum lipsticks and one darker peachy nude for all my neutral lipsticks. I haven't tried them on my lips yet.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in 010 Santa Rose

I saw this blush on Mateja and knew I had to get it. It's very pretty light peachy blush with almost brick undertone. It has very small silver shimmer in it that gives it a lovely sheen. The thing I like the most about it is how light it is. You can go from barely there blush to a bit more intense look. 

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Levre Barrier Repairing Balm

Since colder month are inevitably approaching, I'm already thinking of my lip care. I tend to get really dry cracked lips and it's always mission impossible to find products that repair them as quickly as possible. I saw this repairing balm on sale and decided to give it a try. It's a thicker transparent cream that leaves a rather moisturizing buttery layer on the lips. I haven't used it a lot yet.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick

Another Mateja enabled purchase. She swears by it and since it was on sale, I gave it a go. It's actually a really light, buttery but not sticky formula. I love the scent of it, which kind of reminds me of cocoa. When I was reading about best natural remedies for cracked lips, cocoa butter was mentioned a lot. I have cocoa and coconut butter at home and it actually worked really soothing, so I like this one too. It's not a heavy duty lip balm, more so a good regular daily balm.

Catrice Lash Dresser Comb Mascara

This was a surprise. I knew I wanted it, when I saw that it has a comb like brush. It defines the lashes for a very natural, but defined look. It can absolutely give you volume as well, but you'll need more than just one coat. Too much of it can look a bit clumpy. I love this for definition, because it really makes the lashes look defined and separated.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in London

I adore mousse texture of these. They're in my opinion best matte liquid lipsticks for those that have dry lips. They're lightweight and don't dry out the lips. I wanted yet another nude shade - London. It's a perfect warm peach based brown. I adore it.

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation

I've heard that some people love it and on others it oxidizes. I've been mixing it with other foundations, because shade 01 is too light for me right now, so I need to test it out a bit more. But so far I like semi matte finish of it and the fact that it feels very lightweight on the skin. It also lasts really well on my skin. I'll have to check if this oxidizes on me, when my skin gets a bit lighter. I also don't find it completely matte. Maybe it's because I use very moisturizing creams underneath it.

Rose Gold Brush Set

I saw these on Makeupsavvy and ordered some for myself. It was a purchase out of curiosity. They looked pretty and I am a bit obsessed with makeup brushes. Since I own some Zoeva brushes, I can safely say that the quality of these is absolutely not the same. Some are better than others. 

Buffing foundation brush is soft, fairly dense and does a nice job of blending out foundation. I haven't tried cheek and contour brush yet. Small shader is lovely for underneath lower lash line or for detailed work. It's dense and fairly soft. Angled liner brush is too long for my liking and not dense enough. White shader is a bit fluffier than I expected it too be and scratchy in my opinion. I haven't tried brow brush, because it's too big for my liking. Blending white brush is also scratchy as white shader and I don't like it at all.  

got2b 2 Sexy Big Volume Spray Powder

It's basically like a texturizing spray. It's like a mix of hair spray and a bit of dry shampoo. The scent of it is very sweet and smells like artificial raspberries. It actually gives a bit of volume and texture to the hair, but it's till very lightweight.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat

I bough this in hopes of finding a good Seche Vite dupe. I only tried it once so far. It dries really quickly, doesn't smudge base color and makes my nails slightly stronger. I don't know how long lasting it is yet. Hopefully, this is as long lasting as Seche Vite, but we'll see.

Sleek Highlighting Palette in Solstice

I heard so much about this palette and was sure that I wouldn't like it. Shades in the pan look totally different and scarily colorful. But once you apply these on the skin, they all look very white based and very reflective. I haven't tried all the shades yet, but those that I have, have impressed me. What I find the most interesting about this palette is the fact that all highlighters have really reflective quality to it. They don't seem heavy on the skin, almost a bit transparent and invisible. You don't see that usually heavy powder swatch, but once you move your head this shines like crazy. It's a really bright in your face highlight and I love it. 

Avon Nutra Effects Velvet Soft Moisture With Shia Seeds For Body, Face and Hands*

Avon Nutra Effects Hydration Daily Cream is my favorite face cream. I use it every day and I must be on my third or fourth pot. They also have gel version, which is better for hotter days. I was super excited to see that they also made a larger version for body, face and hands. I've only tried it on my hands so far. It's almost like a mix of daily and gel version. It has a subtle, almost a bit natural scent to it. I like that it's buttery and leaves a bit of that moisturizing layer on my hands. So far I love it.

Avon Makeup Setting Spray

I bathed myself in this. It was super hot in August and my face got glowy in the matter of minutes, so I needed this. Setting spray actually feels kind of refreshing and it definitely prolongs the wear of my makeup. It also sets powders nicely so that you don't look too matte. I have a review here. 

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation 010 Light Beige

Catrice novelties came out and this foundation was the first on my wish list. I have to say I really like it. It's very lightweight on the skin, has a semi-matte finish and is very long lasting. I got the lightest shade which is too light for me now that I got some tan, but would also be almost too dark for winter. I find shades more on the neutral side. There is no obvious yellow undertones. Some even have a bit more prominent pink undertone.

Kiko Radiant Fusion Baked Powder 01

It's very lightweight, finely milled baked powder that looks very natural on the skin. It reminded me a bit of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders (by the looks of it). Finish is somewhat satin and it doesn't make you look matte or dead like. It also doesn't prevent oils to come through. I like it for the under eye area and I'm sure I'll love it for all over the face in the winter time, when my skin tends to look a bit dull.

Kiko Flawless Fusion Bronzer Powder 01

I loved the packaging of powder so much (btw it's magnetic - so lush!) that I went back and also got me one of those bronzers. Bronzer has the same satin finish which looks very natural and skin like. I got the lightest shade and it's pretty light. For now it's a bit too light, but it'll be perfect for colder month. It also has a very neutral undertone, more red than orange.

Terra Naturi Shimmer Powder 01 Golden Highlight

This is my favorite highlighter for the summer when I get some tan. It's golden and has very small shimmer. This is not as in your face as Mary-Lou, but it still makes your face glowy and sunkissed. I absolutely adore it. You can find review here. 

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar

I bought this on my trip in Strasbourg (imagine my excitement going into Sephora for the first time) and ever since, I have been using it pretty much every day. Some warm matte shades are incredible, as well as shimmery warm shades. I still haven't tried all of them, I am gonna be a downer here and say that I am pretty sure that this is not as good as my other two Zoeva palettes. The pigmentation with Zoeva eyeshadows seems to be a lot more pigmented and I love the almost creamy texture better. Still have to test it out a bit more to completely make up my mind. I have to mention the smell of this palette, it smells like vanilla cookies. I love that whenever I open it, it just smells so good.

Catrice Lash Dresser Comb Mascara Colume & Length

This was also one of the new Catrice products that I decided to get and I am loving it. It has a comb like brush that gives my lashes lovely definition. You can build up volume by applying more coats, although don't put on too much, because it can look clumpy. I love how well it separates the lashes and it's perfect for those no eye makeup days, because it looks so well on its own. 

Avon Liquid Chrome Eye Liner Electric Blue

One of the best blue shades of liquid liner. It has a very bright blue shade and metallic or chrome finish to it. Perfect shade for summer and everyone seems to love it. The formula dries quickly and it stays on for the whole day. I don't love the sponge applicator as much, because it's a bit harder to work with. In my opinion brush applicator would work better.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Original

I already had tester of it and when I saw mini size in Sephora, I knew I had to get it. This makes eyeshadow stay on the eyes all day long. It's almost transparent and won't cover discoloration or veins, but it just works so well. 

Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease

My new favorite crease brush. Before I used Zoeva 231 Petite Crease to define my crease, but 228 is just bigger and even fluffier. I love that because it gives me wider and softer defined crease. It just works so well on my eyes. 

Avon Shine Burst Stick Grapefruit

After a long hot day of salty water and sun, my lips crave some moisture and this is by far the best product for that. I've pretty much only been using those sticks on my holidays and Grapefruit is a definite color winner. It's lovely redish pink that just goes with every type of my warm kind of makeup. I have a review here. 

Kiko Nail Lacquer - 372 Nude and 338 Light Lavender

My two new favorite shades in general. Nude is lovely dusty pink. It's one of those rare nude shades that doesn't disappear on my nails. Light Lavender is gorgeous mix of purple and blue and it looks so pretty on the nails. One of those rare unique blues that you can't always find. 

Yves Rocher Malaysian Coconut Eau de Toilette and Silky Lotion

I already wrote a review of the Eau de Toilette here. For my birthday I also got the silky lotion and summer was perfect time to use this. In combination, this gives you the best coconut scent ever. It's a true coconut scent, not like some of those artificial sweet scents. The lotion is very light and soaks into skin quickly. One of those light summer lotions. 

Avon Advance Texhniques Sun-Light Spray

It's basically a sun protector. It contains UV filter and it should protect your hair from sun damage. I used this on the beach and I loved it. It's lightweight and it doesn't stick the hair, but it also doesn't hydrate. I love the scent of it, which is very much salon like. This is perfect for all of you who like smelly hair products, because I love to use it just to refresh my hair. On the beach it also turned out as a fairly good protection. Usually I come back from vacation blond, but not this year. I still got lighter hair color, but not as much as usually, so I think I have this spray to thank for.

Amour Perfumes 162 Manifesto

Slovenian's probably know of Refan and in Prekmurje we also have Amour. They both do inspired perfumes by high end brands and 162 is inspired by Yves Saint Laurent Manifesto. I've been using this on holiday, because I don't like to carry full size perfume bottles with me. It's one of my favorite high end scents that I wish I would have a full size version. Lovely powdery, slightly sweet and very elegant scent. 

Strasbourg (France)

This definitely deserves a place in my favorites. We've been to Strasbourg and I loved this city. They have Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg and it's in the middle of the center. I love the Gothic style and intricate details of it. You see it as a huge building standing out among other smaller new style building. It's also really pretty on the inside. 

Strasbourg is surrounded with rivers and it almost looks a bit like Venice. The architecture somewhow reminds me a bit of German style and then other bits look like what I expect France to look like. It's a mix and match of both worlds, because Strasbourg is very close to German boarder and you can definitely feel the influence. I loved walking around these streets. 

Obviously they also have a lot of stores and I had to do some shopping, because I couldn't miss an opportunity like that. You'll see what I got in my New In post. I was most excited to visit Sephora and I went to three, because I really wanted to get my hands on Too Faced Sweat Peach palette, but it was apparently sold out in all of France. 

France is well know for their food and we were lucky enough to go on some fancy dinners. You can see my dessert on the right side. It was so good that I tried to recreate something similar and you can see how it turned out on my Instagram here. I am pretty proud of it. It tasted nice as well. 

I also find out that one of the shopping centers sells Pierre Herme macaroons. I first heard of Pierre Herme, when I got L'Occitane last year's December collection. I read that he is supposedly "the Picasso of Pastry" and since I've also attempted making macaroons a few times, I was curious to try his. I can report his are amazing. They are not nearly as sweet as all make them and Pierre Herme has some wicked flavor combinations. 

All in all it was a lovely short vacation and I would definitely want to go back. 

Sea Vacation

I'm pretty sure, I was born in a wrong place, because I belong on the sea. Ever since I've been little, we always went to the sea and it was also a really good treatment for my skin allergies. I still practice that. This year it was Poreč (Croatia). I am always really looking forward to going to the sea, because it's just one of the most relaxing places I can think of. I love the sound of waves crashing on the sore, birds playing in the sky and the smell of salty water. It's the most care free time of the year and this year it was as well.

I've actually broken my toe nail (which still hurts), got mild sunburn, took some underwater photos and ate too much sweets.  I'll leave you with some of my favorite photos from there.
