Flushed and Rosy

I'm posting it on Valentine's Day, because it's a very romantic flushed and rosy makeup look. I had this very flushed sheeny cheek in my mind and I created the rest of the look around it. There's just something romantic about this look to me and I feel like it would work for many skin tones and eye color.

For this look I started my eye makeup with a pigmented warm purple eye pencil base. I smudged it out on the top line and went over it with a matte purple shadow. For defining the crease I used light mauve shade. I picked up darker mauve berry shade to shade outer corner of the eye. On the lid I used metallic shimmery eyeshadow and applied it lightly, so it gave the look subtle sheen and shimmer making it look almost wet like.

I did the same on the bottom lash line, expect for metallic shimmery shade. In the inner corner I applied shimmery pink pigment to give it more light. For mascara I used a very volumizing one and build it up to make my lashes look almost a bit fake. Since I started using Molash serum, they have grown quite long and I like making them look even fuller with a few coats of mascara.

For a more romantic and girly look, I really wanted to make my cheeks look super flushes, yet still sort of natural - almost like I was blushing. I applied a bit of liquid matte lipstick as a base and went over it with a shimmery pink blush to give it even more sheen and dimension. I also used a very light amount of contour under the cheek bones and around my nose. For highlighter I opted for another liquid product with a pearly pink silver sheen to give me that angelic glow.

Whenever I want my look to feel more effortless, I apply lipstick with an eyeshadow brush and blend out the edges to make them look softer and more diffused. It makes it look much more natural and you can cheat your natural lip line without it looking fake. I mixed two shades, one a lighter brownish pink and one more mauve to give it some dimension.

I called it flushed and rosy, because that's the vibe I went for. Everything is defined, but in a soft manner and it's all in that pink mauve family. Call this Valentine's Day makeup or a romantic date look, but you can wear it for whenever you feel like going a bit more pink and girly.
